so basically you believe that the image in the youtube video is real and Nasa document is fake

Well anyone would think that there arent bases on the moon , however maybe it was just coincidence but last year
Nasa on Astronomy picture of the day , posted a picture of the moon from the LRO , the following day they posted a picture of earths largest strip mining machine .
I immediately thought that someone was having a laugh at us and were sneakily hinting to us that we are already strip mining the moon using these giant machines that can strip the length of a football pitch in under an hour .

Its on APOD and is still there , I linked it before in a previous ATS thread and its just either total coincidence or a someone hinting at the truth .

Yet another thread on ATS that has gone 11 pages too long, has been flagged over a 100 times and is a hoax. I get that mods need to let threads settle and sort themselves out.. But cmon. lurkers here will see 100 flags, see the op, and then look over at their wife or husband and say, oh wow, bases on the moon.. And the hoax spreads...

We really need a vetting process for threads that make claims of "proof"

And keep in mind, Im not saying there ARENT bases on the moon... None of us know the truth to that... But a hoax is a hoax is a hoax

I suppose if you think about hiding something on the Moon, you would hide it on the side we never see.... Astronmers cant see it.... stargazers cant see it.... no one can see it.... not from here anyway.

One way to find out is to build your own spaceship and go there yourself.... I'm pretty sure the Governments cant stop us from doing that in private!!

It would be most fantastic if we could build a rocket to take us to the moon.
How much realisticly do you think it would cost now ?

Thiinking how much it cost NASA back in the day , and how that compares to todays figures
and how much would be saved with technology ?

I reckon it would cost at least 100 million

epic fail: it costs $450 million to launch the space shuttle

Ok so say that I was rich unbelievably rich , I had billions to spunk all over the place !
and I built a rocket to take 5 men to the moon , who would stop us
could they legally stop us ?

I think that figure would at least be trippled , leaving that in the realms of bill gates , or richard branson !

Uhhhhhhhh hello?

It's the globalist satanist illuminati who've insisted on secrecy for more than 100 years about many things--including space.

The authentic Christians I know in high positions have been quite keen to reveal all they could ethically reveal.

Methinks your biases are spewing all over everywhere.

I certainly hope the Chinese do give a huge BOO-HAO-YI-SE [embarrassment] to NASA.

It's well deserved.

However, the whole dance will be largely orchestrated to SOME degree by the globalist--even China's part.

I do hope that the Chinese are not nearly as compliant, however, as the globalists pretend they are.

How could we forget. When no proof exists, its the satanic baby eating Illuminati that's to blame for the lack of evidence...

Maybe, just maybe, the powers that be have just done a good job convincing some in this world that they are more powerful than they really are...

It should also be noted that those who have already made up their minds and are not open to any suggestion otherwise, would not believe anything, anyone said even if Moses, baby Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha and Krishna were all present in the jury box.

So... it does become pointless. We will believe what we CHOOSE to believe.

Of course, swearing before congress is only meant to lend a little credibility to the testimony because for one, you are on a very public stage in front of the world and two, if you lie, you could go to jail.

Geologically I wonder if this phenomenon could possible on the moon? Like for instance salt squares. That is if the picture is actually from the moon and not tampered.

It is also a notable curiosity how we approach the subject of hoaxes.

If someone says they have a video of a UFO, we have our doubts. But the moment someone claims a hoax or a debunkery, we all go 'Ahhh!' as if one side is more believable than the next.

Just because someone says something is real, doesn't make it real.
Just because someone says something is a hoax, doesn't make it a hoax.

It's all about planting seeds of doubt and watching them grow.

Actually, the image in the video hasn't been deliberately altered; the reproduction is of such poor quality that the terrain gets jumbled and the eye is tricked into seeing shapes that are not there. The claim that the Chinese will be releasing proof is, at best, a rumor. I suspect it is a hoax, but time will tell.

WOW, just WOW...
The Big Muskie is a model 4250-W Bucyrus-Erie dragline digger, with a 220 cubic yard bucket, it weighs 27 million pounds!

Height: 222 ft., 6 in.
Length of the boom: 310 feet
Length of machine with boom down: 487 ft., 6 in.
Empty bucket weight: 230 tons
Width: 151 ft., 6 in., compare to an 8 lane highway!
Cable diameter: 5 in
Electrically powered: 13,800 volts
Mobility: hydraulically driven walking feet

The largest spacecraft payload (not counting the upper stage rocket and fuel) ever to have reached earth escape velocity are the Apollo 15-17 weighing in at 103,570 pounds, 260th the mass of the digger, and very much smaller.

Explain to us how on earth an excavator was ever launched to earth escape velocity, and for now we will ignore how it was every able to safely land on the moon and operate.

This thread just keeps getting more out there by the page...

The information attached to the Lunar Orbiter photo allows us to locate this area. The "base" is at 5.6° north latitude, 0.175° east longitude. This puts it on the northeast rim of Murchison Crater, right smack in the middle of the near side of the Moon.

If real, this "base" would have been 2-3 km across.

The LRO Narrow Angle Camera imaged this area once during its commissioning orbits at a resolution of ~1.2 meters-per-pixel. Here is the image. The area of "interest" is just above the largish crater half-way down the frame. Obviously, no artificial structure is there, but if you zoom in you can see some interesting streaks where the old gouges & slumps in the crater rim have been over-laid by regolith over the eons. This layer has, in turn, been pock-marked by inumerable small impacts.

Of course, genuine scientific exploration & discovery can't hold a candle to fantasies & hoaxes about strange/alien bases...

NASA is know for hiding stuff so they could easily have just covered up the area for example howcome in every NASA pictures of our solar planets how come i dont see any Stars near it? in those pictures?

No sorry, common sense is siding on one side of the equation, that any Youtuber can say anything doesn't make the what he says have any merit whatsoever. If he was so informed and talented he wouldn't be wasting his life making Youtube videos. One would think a production company would do that for him, like Michio Kaku or Bill Nye, the Science Guy. Really? Holy crap!
