Sorry but I have to agree with you and apparently others do as well.
Cops are trash and I don't shed a tear when I hear of one being taken out anymore.
I actually root for the................."BAD GUY".

Why?

Cuz the "bad guy" is usually not so "bad" once you start digging a little.
Cops are NOT HERE TO PROTECT YOU!!!!!!!!!
They are NOT YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!!!
They DO NOT GIVE TWO SQUIRTS OF PISS FOR YOU OR YOUR FAMILY!!!!!!

Their job is to collect revenue for the state and to collect evidence against you whether or not you did anything "wrong"!!!!

Citizens are either criminals or potential criminals to them.

I laugh on the inside when I hear of one being killed nowadays,

Flame away.
Not being a troll.
Just adapting to the changin' times.

Don't care mate, you've wished death to my cousin and she is one of the kindest people I know.

Your ridiculous generalized hate is noted, as is those that agree with you.

Yeah the two guys who beat up a friends grandfather with a baseball bat last week just because he had no money to give them while out walking are "not so bad"...

These pathetic generalizations are ridiculous!

Take the hate filled blinders off mate

There are some police that are overpowering and think they are better than the population but most are regular people with a job to do. They are the police. They aren't suposed to be meak people. What criminal is going to be afraid of a mouse. When someone is breaking into you're home would you rather have an officer come who is authorative or mousy. We have laws written to protect us and the police are the enforcers. People are constantly treading in the gray area trying to be just legal so they can't get busted. These people think that their con like actions will keep them out of trouble.

I could give you a hundred different examples of stupid things people have done. The local police used to come have coffee on their break at a friends shop. They couldn't give names but told us tales of the stupid things people did that day. The conversations that you talk about between officers are sort of like these, conversations about the stupid actions of people and their excuses to justify their actions. They aren't refering to the regular people that are honest and hardworking and stay out of trouble. They protect these people. I understand you're concern and am trying to show you where the evidence you presented is flawed. Police will talk like that all the time amongst themselves, it's the way they relay knowledge about who was in trouble that day or night to other officers. Might as well make the conversation interesting, interesting things are remembered better. I do not see that police think they are superior to everyone except in rare individual cases. They just see a lot more crazy things than you and I in their profession.

I tell my friends to their face things like "what kind of stupid thing did you get yourself into now" and try to make lite of it. That breaks the ice and tells them to do self evaluation. Many times people try to justify their actions and can't see they messed up. We're all only human and sometimes we do dumb things, everyone does. I'de rather be told I messed up by my friends than to have them let me believe I was right then go laugh behind my back with other friends.

Weak minds always run rampant during emotionally heated debates.
You must have glossed over the part where I said.....

Cuz the "bad guy" is USUALLY not so "bad" once you start digging a little.

It would seem you like to pick and choose which parts of people's arguments you decide to respond to.
Not unexpected just sad.

You laugh to yourself when you hear about the death of another fellow human being killed and you call me weak minded?

You're sick mate, only people with serious mental issues would laugh at the death of another person.

Get help.

I'm a little sad that reading that cops will behave that way just doesn't surprise me.
I long for the good old days when cops weren't like that. I'm not that old, really. But I remember there being good cops around when I was a kid. Cops that actually made me truly respect their profession because they weren't complete A-holes about everything.

This also made me recall when my little brother said that he was thinking of becoming a cop after he graduated high school. My first thought was naturally concern for his safety. And I am honestly glad he snapped out of it and chose to not become a police officer or join the military. My second thought was that if he became a cop, I would actually know a good cop. Because my brother is a good kid. Not the kind of person I would expect to become corrupted with "power."

But yes. Back to the point of it all. This is just sad.
I'm sad that we can't rely on the police to protect us. Might be safer with the criminal in some cases.
Though, I do know the bad seeds don't count for all of them. It's just been such a long while since I've met a good police officer.

I'll probably check out this cop website when there are news reports of police brutality.

One stepped on my face and chest so I couldn't breath, as another smacked my legs and and groin with a club. Just for smoking a cigarette that they thought was laced with drugs. I didn't resist they just wanted to beat on a long hair.

Man, you have my sympathy for that unfortunate situation, but lets delve in to a hypothetical for a minute.
If that was two black guys done that to you, would you celebrate the death of our black brothers in this same manner?

I can see you're reasoning and understand your how you came to view the police force as tainted, but surely you know its wrong. It's not the way a critical analysing person thinks. They aren't ALL bad. Nobody should celebrate the death of another man. They all have families.

I noticed how you just glossed over my comment AGAIN. Totally avoided being called out for glossing over my comment the last time.

The issue was...... I said USUALLY!!!!

You haven't addressed the fact that I said USUALLY yet.
You just preformed what is called a "Hop Over".

You were called out on a thinking error and rather than address it you "Hopped Over" to another different attack.

Would you like to address what I said in my previous post yet?

Let's quantify usually... Which suggests more often than not.

So if we took 10 stories of people bashing the elderly, you would be of of the opinion that at least 6 of those stories would be that the offenders aren't really that bad.

Fair assessment?

And if not, why not?

Hi People.

You all know how this goes, you all agreed to this sites T&Cs when you joined...so I'll keep it brief:

- stay on topic
- keep out of eachothers faces
- attack the post, not the poster
- lay off the 'pigs' etc etc, come on, you're all far more intelligent than to use words like that
- celebrating the death of LEOs? Really? Come on people...

Play nice...etc etc...

Cheers

Sorry, your getting closer but you still haven't addressed the fact that you totally glossed over the fact that I said usually and went straight into some scenario that had NOTHING to do with ANYTHING I said. It was a diversionary tactic probably born out of shear emotion and frustration and the inability to think clearly when confronted with a view so diametrically opposed to your own.

I can not and will not have a debate nor defend my position on anything with someone who uses such tactics.

Care to address the fact that you were picking and choosing which parts of my comments to respond to while conveiniently omitting key words yet?
