He applied for a job. We (the people) are doing the hiring.

If it were up to me, he'd be showing his college transcripts. But since it is obvious that he has something to hide and people like yourself enable his non-transparency, it'll be doubtful that we'll ever see them.

You seem to be trying to miss what he is writing to you on purpose.
You cannot claim you that no access to something is a huge mystery all of a sudden with this new guy when you never had access in the past. Just because you never asked for it does not change the reality.
