I've been on ATS for about a year now. I've seen some really cool ideas on here but I've never authored a thread before, and very rarely do I comment on other peoples ideas. Even as an agnostic I find myself very interested in all things otherworldly.
I was wondering...what are your thoughts on mainstream UFO accounts such as the History, Science and Green Channels? Do things such as ghosts still have credence to people who question Gods existence? Are UFOs and ghosts somehow related topics? Because I find them both fascinating!!!
Thank you ATS!!!

Hey JimmyJim

As person who believes in God and Aliens, how does that fit into anyone logic, i don't know and i am not in any position to justify his or her beliefs. So my analysis is simple enough.

Billions and Billions of Galaxy's and what...we are the only one's...don't think so, its simply statistically impossible to say we are alone.

Edit: As for God, well that to me is a form of energy, i do not claim to know what and how it is for i am merely passing by the existence known as life. Perhaps in the next life, if there is, which i believe there is and im sure ill find many answers to my current questions, that is if i have any recollection of this existence in my next life. But given some out of the normal experiences i lived when someone close to me left this life*planet, i am prone to say and accept, that yes, there is more to this dimensional world than what we are educated * allowed to learn and exposed to.

That's about the most intelligent and thought out reply I could ask for. You admit that you don't know one way or the other. Who the hell does?!

Yes i admit that i have no proof of life after death or that aliens exist, however as i pointed out, its statistically impossible to even mention to any rational thinking person that we are the only intelligent life form within billions of galaxy's and keep in mind how many more galaxy's that we are unaware of. To add, i wont even approach the fact that once we begin to add dimensional time to that equation the thought of humans as the only life form becomes as ludicrous and irrelevant to reality as offering a common calculator to a household pet. It will obviously register its an object and begin toying with it, but it wont understand its functionality, therefore no matter how intelligent humans are, there are things that are simply beyond our comprehension. We would simply either require an external stimulus or several thousand's years of evolution.

A good example is when we find some species deep below the sea bed, were no sunlight reaches, we register that as a creature but one must begin to think how does it register us, since we in fact enter a foreign world, a world that, that creatures has obviously come to live and breed in. Something similar is how i interpret non terrestrial visits. We assume they are passive, but how can we assume what an entity on that evolution scale perceives as passive or as violent according to our evolutionary scale in time.

Ah..you managed to pull thoughts out that i avoid posting...well done. Well its time for a quick meal and off to the cyber world again, its been a pleasure and look forward to reading a thread or two from you.

One of the most interesting things that I have seen is a documentary on the life at the bottom of the La Brea Tar Pits. This life requires no oxygen. Keep in mind that this life is on a bacterial scale. But the La Brea Pits still hold life. I don't have a source for that info. It might be complete bull crap for all I know. But those bastard scientists have me convinced...

The Introduction Forum is for introductions To tell something about you; not to start a thread about a topic.“Intro threads” that are really “topic threads” will be removed.
Welcome to ATS, it’s time to introduce yourself.

Hi JimmyJim, I'm one of the many ATS Mods here at the forum. We appreciate you joining up with the ATS Family.

We have a very strict code in place for our members to adhere to which helps keep the machine 'running smoothly'. One of these is that members need to post their thoughts in the appropriate areas.

You posted what could be a very interesting topical question (or two) in the "Introductions thread". This area is solely for introducing yourself (as you can see by browsing through other posts by new members).

So unfortunately I have to close the thread.. But please feel free to create a thread and ask your questions in the proper place.

Thanks!
Johnny
