thanks for that Ophiuchus 13, theres so many diffrent angles to this, n i could imagine lower level beings(demons) being under the 3rd dimension, that does make sense to me n vice versa

and fence sitter, yh im familiar with the time arguement, and 2d objects not being able to see 3d objects curtisy of carl sagan
but what your sayin about 3d not being able to live in a 4th dimension makes alot of sense, i cant imagine it being possible, maybe the 4th dimension would just be the end off time, when a conciousness can experience all time at one time as some sort of memory experience

getting interesting now

no this has'nt got anything to do with time. as scale i mean if you scaled something down by say 100:1 basically shrinking and expanding or size

we could draw a dot and we cant stand inside it but if we shrunk ourself down it would be a whole other universe

You might want to explain this a little better, as this is more a concept of how the universe may fit together. It has nothing to do with dimensions whether you look at it from a scientific or new age point of view.

Like Chamberf=6 said the fourth dimension is time. Three spatial - forwards/backwards, side to side, up/down, and the next is time - future/past.

yh orwards/backwards, side to side, up/down, then inside i find it hard to explain, this may help which i just found

Well I guess that's actually pretty close to what you stated in the OP. Maybe what this thread really needs is for someone to actually define what a 'dimension' is in relation to the OP. Your concept is more kind like that of a holographic universe which I myself hadn't really thought of in terms of dimensions.

I guess it also matters how you define the relationship between space and time; and the old adage 'as above so below' (or in this case as within so without).

Here's a poem I wrote which you may like as it deals with concept you're getting at...... enjoy

The summer day shone bright and warm; the breeze lightly kissed my cheek.
I was only fifteen then and finished for the week.
My town it was in weekend mode, the traffic too damn loud.
And so I walked in pastures green to escape the maddening crowd

I sat beneath an old fig tree to escape the midday sun,
I’d stolen momma’s cigarettes and thought I’d light up one.
And God I coughed and spluttered; I wiped across my chin.
I found I had to lay right back for my head began to spin.

Stretching out I looked straight up and enjoyed the solitude,
Green leaves rustled all around and calmed my pensive mood.
Soon weariness crept over me as I lay beneath the tree
So I shut my eyes and dreamed a dream of a small boy by the sea…

------------------------------

Waves crashed angrily on the sand ahead, the ocean grey and cold,
Footprints marked a path behind in my search for the untold.
I clutched my rain-coat closer still, wind whistling through my hair,
And though a chill ran through my bones I did not seem to care.

I strode ahead with purpose; the sea called to me that day.
Like siren’s song it beckoned me; I could not stay away.
Ahead the waves retreated back and within the foam I saw
A wave-worn smooth black stone was there upon the battered shore.

I ran ahead and picked it up, so heavy in my hand;
I washed my treasure in the sea to get rid of all the sand.
Each grain across the surface gleamed like an ancient mariner’s chest
Though one did seem to catch the light more distinctly than the rest.

My eye’s looked closer at that grain despite the icy chill,
I saw each different mineral and looked even closer still.
Each molecule in that smooth dark stone, each atom I did spy
Though one much darker than the rest did catch my restless eye.

T’was black and deep like midnight sky with small pin-pricks of light,
It seemed to me that these were stars a twinkling in the night.
Across the threshold I did go to see what lay within.
I’d stepped into a universe, the waves quieting their din

Constellations, quasars bright, moons and meteorites,
I danced across the cosmos through the stars all glittering white.
I ventured forth and what a sight, like a static firework show.
Though I sensed within my deepest thoughts there was more I had to know.

One small star had planets round; one planet was deep blue,
Clouds and seas and land were seen from this heavenly view.
Closer still I had to look for I yearned to see still more,
Through heavy clouds I caught a glimpse of a distant wind-swept shore.

Waves crashed angrily on the sand below, the ocean grey and cold,
Footprints led up the storm-swept beach to a boy not nine years old.
He seemed to just be standing there though chilled right to the bone
And then I saw clutched in his hand a wave-worn smooth black stone…

I noticed we were a bit on the same insight, with increases in intelligences. Your post was wonderful, as its to do with intelligence increases. Intelligence is us, our soul orb, our light orb. And what increases it, being in control of our body suit is one way, ie not reacting, not losing consciousness by becoming the machine, but searching for answers, always questioning, awareness, and love, unconditional love, service to others, choosing reactions, saying yes to the promptings of Spirit inside, not the gut responses.

So we are trying to grow our golf ball sized intellects/souls, to much larger form and hence higher channel, larger range realms/homes, as Christ mentioned in that passage you quoted.

Your transition into 4th dimension is going to be scary to most people who do not understand what is happening. When the third and fourth meld together you will start to see anything that is not natural disappear. This will freak people out. It is important that you get to a place that is completely constructed out of natural material. This is why there is little evidence of past civilizations from ions of time ago. This is not the first time we have transcended to a higher different dimension, obviously. Everything you think about will manifest into reality. If you are not ready for this, you will be put back into the third dimension and be prohibited from moving forward. Our bodies will become less dense. And colors will be much brighter. Your eyes will take time to adjust. Drunvalo says it best.....

In 3-dimensional geometry you have 3 axes (plural of axis, not the thing you chop down trees with) which are 90 degrees perpendicular to each other: up - down, left - right, forward - back (usually represented mathematically or in computer programming as x, y and z).

In 4-dimensional geometry you have 4 axes which are 90 degrees perpindicular to each other: up - down, left - right, forward - back and a 4th axis in the 4th dimension which is 90 degrees perpendicular to those three axes (usually represented mathematically or in computer programming as w, x, y and z).

yh i think we do need to determine what i mean by dimension, i actually mean completely phyiscal in our real, it is possible to make a cube and another cube smaller but it is impossible for this cube to be...

both at the same time as a cube inside another cube sepreate and by the way, im not ruling out not physical dimensions because as we all know it proberly comes along with it

A cube within a cube is still a cube.

We already experience the fourth dimension...it is our reality.

We cannot escape our own selves.

People say the 4th dimension is time, but I personally don't believe this. I could be wrong though. There are 3 known dimensions of space and space is now accepted to be invariably linked with time so that it is called, "spacetime". So there is time in the first dimension, time in the second, and time in the third.

The first dimension would be the first spacetime dimension. 1 dimension of spacetime is the dimension of lines. There is no left and right, nor up and down, there is only forward and back. When you think of time, you think of past, present, and future, but what time actually is is the actuation of possible futures. Time is not as linear as most people like to believe. Any time a choice is made, you set a new trajectory for your future.

In the first dimension of spacetime, there are only a limited number of possible futures. In the second dimension of spacetime, there are more possible futures than in the first but less possible futures than in the third. In the third dimension of spacetime, there are a lot of possible futures.

The more dimensions of your awareness, the more possible futures there are. This should indicate that time is not a constant and doesn't exist as its own dimension but is linked with space and however many dimensions of space there are is how many dimensions of time there are.

When I think of the fourth dimension...I think of the world wide web...it's infinite, we can see it from our 3 dimensional world (Through a "window" computer, iPhone, iPad...etc). It defies the laws of physics...space cannot be calculated, as it has an infinite amount of space. I can make anything manifest through Google...and there is no time...its always there, and this "world" never ages.

Just an idea...

A line is the first dimension. A single point is the zero dimension. A single point is infinitely undefineable. The minute you think you've gotten to how small it is, there is always something smaller. It is a constant (like light). You'll never find it. It will always be the same size relative to your observation of it. It is infinitely non-existent, yet in a paradox, it also exists.

We are three dimension away from this infinite non-existence. If there are higher dimensions, then whatever the last dimension is is the dimension of infinite existence. I would presume that the nature of this dimension would be consciousness itself with an aspect of unlimited freedom and the embodiment of infinite possible pasts, presents, and futures.

NICE, apart from you did the forbidden, lol how come every time a black man raps its about him being black, cant we rely on our eyes, we have to be told, and im pretty sure neo-nazis from the moon arnt coming down just to put id chips in black people.

Makes no sense lol

the 4th dimension is much simplier, its two balls a shlong and an asshole

If we take a simple object like a cube and for the sake of conversation call it three dimensional.
We can can take a slice...if you like...and call it a plane of two dimensions.
However in reality a two dimensional plane cannot exist.
There is no first or second dimension...inside or outside the third.

a cube inside a cube in the 3rd dimension is still a cube yh but in my theory a cube inside another cube joined up infinitely makes a shape which is a cube for inifite so it would be a cube no matter how much you zoom into it,.and a bigger cube as you scale up at the same time

its impossible to understand properly because of you cant have it in our dimension

Read Flatland.

en.wikipedia.org...

Amazing little read about a two dimensional being "lifted" up and into a three-dimensional world, and his inability to grasp a third, physical dimension beforehand. Quite brilliant and interesting.

That's all well and fine although it's just a story.

There is no flatland in reality.

Nor indeed pointland.

That isnt the point though, is it?

The OP asked for someone to describe how he could visualize a dimension beyond the three physical ones we interect with daily. Flatland is a great way to learn how to visualize it, or at least understand it better.

As far as there being no Flatland, think again. A tiny tiny creature like a waterbug maybe only experience life in 2 special dimensions. Actually reading Flatland, not just the wiki entry will explain it much better than i ever could.

Whatever size or shape the bug is it is still not two dimensional.

Nor is it useful as an analogy...in any real sense.
