Data point: Helicopter flyover, Seattle.

Wednesday, 15 Feb, 2012, about 2pm.

I see 8 military-grade helicopters (these were black, single-rotor) fly north over east Seattle (Capitol Hill).

I was in South Lake Union at the time, walking home, towards Capitol Hill.

I also noticed two big hawks out over the lake each being harassed by a pair of crows.

At 3 pm almost exactly, 2 of the choppers were observed flying back over Capitol Hill to the south.

This could have been totally innocent, and probably was. But it for sure is NOT something that happens every day! So I thought it was worth making a record of it.

I am not at all familiar with what sort of operations require 8 choppers to fly together from one place to another. Maybe some seeing this have more knowledge in this area.

I could not find any news stories about this.

I saw them too. Got a few frames of one on a time lapse footage.
Also noticed unusually high air traffic to boeing field since Monday.
Today, twice I saw two planes land abreast at Boeing Field.
Escort Planes I believe. And this evening, it was like watching the scene from Top Gun where he is defence against ,multiple MIGs there were planes coming from every direction, en masse

Small town Ontario Canada here, near Ottawa. Our town has leaa than 10,000 people, mostly elderly. Last summer saw a lot of black helicopters here.

Interestingly, in the past week these black helis are back. Flying VERY low over the town... the sound of them shakes everything. There is a field in a residential district where a factory used to be and one of these helis touched down there and shone spotlights on neighboring houses.

I can't find any information about them. But these copters are all black and the people in them are in black suits. Residents are complaining about the noise. Even the town council has no idea... or they aren't saying what's up with the disturbance.

There are four blackhawk's sitting front of a hanger at Boeing Field as I type this.

Could just be secuity drill or practice for Obama's visit in Seattle tomorrow (Friday).

Just a guess.

I know ther Attorney General was here last week, but now that I think about it, Last time Obama came to town I saw four blackhawks and a couple small planes come from the northeast out of the clouds.
Two continued on and the rest circled went back to the east ito the clouds.
