I'm totally in the V-Club (ok sorry, long running joke between a friend and I) and its awesome.

Why?

Because you can talk and think as dirty as you want, but no one calls you a slut. Hahahha!

For example, in art, some friends and I were discussing the greatest places to have sex. Isuggested either
1. an airhockey table when its turned on
or
2. the ball pit at discovery zone

Upon finding out I was in fact a virgin, they got all crazy and were like Oh my god! Whoever you end up having sex with is going to be in heaven!

Hahhahahhahah!

I'm the same way, and when people find out that I'm a virgin they are in total shock!

As far as why guys want a virgin? I have no idea
As far as women wanting a virgin? I'm even more clueless, becuase I'd rather have someone who knew what they were doing show me the ropes

Of course and I never said that being a virgin was somehow bad - just that they are "unexperienced" as we all once were (I could have chosen better words).

I made the post a while back (and forgot about it) after a conversation with a buddy of mine.

He's in his mid-thirties and waited so long to find the "right person" that he was still a virgin.... Yep - read that again.

We had gone out the weekend before to the kind of bar I hanged around in as a student and he never really experienced. He was convinced that he could not "pick up" at the thirty-something bars because the women "sensed" his virginity and were turned off (probably had more to do with his poor social skills - he's my bud be he can be a bit of a jerk).

Anyway, we had gone out to a college age bar so he could try his luck there. Lo and behold he hooks up and he leaves with her.

I was like "finally" and called a couple other friends and told them that "so-and-so" had finally picked up at a bar and left with someone I had spotted and initiated a conversation with (but when I saw them getting along I gave them some space
).

I called him a couple of days later to see what happened.

According to him he went for at least 20 minutes working up a hard sweat without any fireworks on his part.

Apparently she just layed there and hardly made a noise "with a weird look on her face".
Poor guy.

Now he's even more afraid of approaching girls. :shk:

That's the story behind the post.

I was trying to figure out why the heck she responded that way. Was she a virgin? Was it his fault? Her fault for not "helping"? etc.

P.S. this is not a Freudian post

.

I'm 15 & a guy...I still havn't lost "it"

I know i'm a little young and it is indeed illegal till 16 in New York (I think)

I'm pretty shy in real life.

I've had 2 girlfriends and i'm single at the moment.

I've only kissed the 2nd one. Things are going pretty slow for me

Things are pretty hard now as I met this girl on vacation last year and i've "loved" her ever since. I don't think i'll see her again

I don't think i'll be losing "it" in the near future. For now I just sit on the computer and learn interesting things I couldn't learn in school, play with friends and things like that
.

btw...if girls use tampons, does that mean they aren't virgins anymore?

15 years old is nothing Ken, you've got plenty of time. I'm 20 and just lost mine less than 2 weeks ago. It's been sloooooow for awhile, but things are going really great now. Don't throw ir away either. A couple of my friends have and they had some awful experiences. Good luck

Ken_Allen:: when a girl has sex then she isn't a virgin any more.
using tampons is for the "monthly thing", and no i doesn't mean she has lost her virginity. girls who have and girls who havn't had sex use tampons.

also i hope your friend gets more "luck with the ladies"

Oh yeah Atomix, a drink fueled sex session to lose her virginity....yeah right!

Let her lose it when she wants to and not before!

I lost mine when i was 13 and would probably regret it terribly if i wasnt still with the same girl (well i suppose shes a woman now) now!

And how can you critisise her for being a virgin when you are????? DUH!!!!!

What in the heck is the big deal with virgins?

Why is it that a reward for terrorism is a number of virgins waitng for them in heaven?

Why do some guys dream of doing a virgin?

In my opinion virgins don't know which way is up! They are sloppy, tentative and reserved. I'd rather someone who knows what the hell to do with the equipment!

Do women also dream of breaking in a virgin male or would they rather someone with some experience?

Opinions?

"If you can't be good, be fast, and if you can't be fast, be first." Julia Phillips, producer of "the Sting".

You are right about sloppy, tentative, and reserved. It describes me to a tee!

Speaking out of ignorance, I can only assume it's something like eating. Imagine you had a beautifully prepared meal. Just as you were about to eat, some one else comes up, sticks his finger in your pie, and has a slobbering good taste off it. He winks at you, and says "Some good, carry on!"

Though people claim to be libertated, there are some pretty ambigous feelings about sex. A person who's 'been around', is seen as having had 'too much of a good thing'.

Would you want to marry some one who 'knew what to do with the equipment'? maybe they know 'too well'. You'd torture your self with constant uncertainity. How could you ever keep the upper hand? You can't base a realtionship on that.

Besides, it appeals to basic egoism to 'break some one in'. It "shows what I know". It re inforces the idea in a person's mind that they are clever, worldly, and 'in the know'. "I sure showed him/her". Love is a game, and a game is about who wins.

A better question is why people get hung up on the person who dumped them. They never get over being dumped. The former lover can reappear every few years, to temporaily resume the relationship. The whole thing is based on 'being dumped'. As long as the dumper is prepared to play 'love 'em and leave 'em' with the dumpy, then the temporary thing can go on indefinitly.

"Dangerous Liasons" might say that they answer is immaturity. Remember in that film Valmount had to seduce the most chaste woman in Paris, since they had been out of virgins for some time. It put a strain on the game. However as Homer Simpson might put it "what's the reason that anybody does anything? Stupidity."

I would reply but I think it would violate the Terms of ATS.

I will anyways. The reason guys like virgins so much is because they are sweet and innocent and unexperienced. And if they do have sex with a virgin the girl has no frame of reference, thus the guy is the best they have ever had.

It is all about a power trip IMO. When the guy takes a girls virginity he has power and his ego gets a boost because the girl hasn't slept with anyone but him so it makes him feel special.

I don't know it is different with each individual though.

On the technical side of things...

If the hymen is broken, clinically the girl would (generally speaking) be considered "no longer a virgin".

The hymen can be broken by many things - regular horse-riding, using tampons, etc etc...not just sex.

Quite frankly though, whether your are or aren't, it's nobody else's business but your own.

Though I'd be curious too, as to "what's in it for the girls" when it comes to female suicide bombers....

Anyone have any ideas?

hrmm why do I like virgins....

Its a matter of I woun't marry you if you aren't.

Sex is the most intimate and sacred act that we have. It is a point in life where two bodies, for a moment, become one. Where one gives their all to another and their love is shared. It is the most intimate bond. Intercourse is not about pleasure either its about Procreation and Unity. You are to be one with your love and by doing so give up it all for them. Sex, to me, is the ulitmate sacrifice. And thats why for me "True Love Waits"

I am a guy.

I am 17

I will not loose my virginity until I marry

My girlfreind is a virgin and we are incredibly happy. If anyone thinks you need sex to make a intmate relationship then your just ignorant.
Wisper in her ear, console her when she is down, cuddle at the right moments, have a candle light dinner, show her the stars, There are many things that can make a girl love a guy more than sex. You have to let her know you care.

I told her the other day that If we broke up and I found out she was pregant that the next day I would be at her door to help with the child. And she honestly knew I wasn;t just saying that. She knew I would.

Thats what girls want more in a relationship (not marraige something different) they want sercuity that you are going to take care of them and be there for them no matter what.

Of course many of you are going to say "Yada yada" and refute what I have said but ask yourself in your "Brain washing, NWO alien abduction minds" is it the girls or is it just society today? In the 1920's people where condemed for having skirts that rose above ther knees. BUt my grandparents who grew up in the 20's are the happiest coupple I have ever known. YOu don't need thoes things to make a relationship work you just want them.
