U.S. pushes EU, SWIFT to eject Iran banks

Now they're trying to get Iran out of the electronic banking system (SWIFT) based in Belgium.

Iran businesses apparently use the system to transfer money to and from international business.

I guess they could always use submarines to North Korea and have them handle everything !!

Or old fashioned camel caravans !!

The actions would target specific banks in Iran, but may not actually affect their main central bank.

The U.S. is also considering other measures of restrictions such as denying Iranian leaders visas.

(Reuters) - The United States is pressuring the European Union and a global electronic banking system to expel Iranian banks from a network used to transfer money, another step in Western efforts to deprive Tehran of funds needed to develop nuclear weapons.

Kicking Iranian banks out of the Belgium-based SWIFT, or Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication, would cut off one of the only remaining avenues for Iran to transact business with the rest of the world.

Im surprised America doesnt just be open and honest about there agenda and just cover Iran in Anthrax, they may aswell, scumbags.

I think the agenda is pretty out there and open.. they do not want Iran enriching their own uranium because then they could proceed to make weapons.. Iran can get fuel for their reactors elsewhere, that was offered even by Russia .. Iran chose the complicated messy path and went against the wishes even of their own allies..

Now we're at a situation where Israel is like a rabid dog that wants to leap on Iran while it can .. America is trying to keep Israel reigned in and is instead trying to pressure by sanctioning Iran to submission.. which won't work..

I expect a conflict... but one Iran holds some blame for as well.. it never had to come to that, they could have ran there reactors without having to build their own enrichment facilities ..

If you ask me .. the international community has been TOO easy on Iran .. they said don't build it .. Iran built it .. they said "Ok well let us inspect your operations" .. Iran kicked out the inspectors.. the international community has since just been saying "quit it or else! . no allowance for you"
