Why do you love the World War 3?
In serious response to these threads:
Why do you love the USA?
Why do YOU love Israel?
Why do you love Iran?
WW3 in society.
World War is marketable. Look at the latest games and even movies 1950s onwards. World War 3 sells. The populace seems to love it. No one is ignorant
to a possible global thermonuclear war, massive tank battles in Europe, invasion of Korea or Iran, Georgia going hot, or some crack-pot warlord in
Africa getting a nuclear warhead. All these ideas are recurring in every form of media. Not just corporate media! Local bar talk, your child playing
make believe war, your own grandmother talking to you about the latest worries; it just seems to naturally occur.
Regardless of the theme, setting, or time period; humanity loves to live on the edge of panic. I love it. You love it. We all get a thrill out of
potential war of catastrophic proportions. Religions involve super wars between men and gods, gods and gods, men and men that seem to preset or bring
about the end of the world. Even in rebirth of 'Gaia' stories where the world goes to war with man to cleanse us. That is STILL War, and STILL love of
WW3 or any "catastrophic conflict."
EDIT: TLDR Thread- War takes no sides. It is a universal human exciter. No matter how peaceful or warloving you are, you love to talk WW3 because it
excites/makes feel good.
Why?
There are three major types of War Lovers: Thrill Seekers, Peace Lovers, and Religious. Obviously there are individual reasons as to why WW3 attracts
people, but these are the obvious ones.
Thrill Seekers:The largest category by far and can include people who also are in other categories. War excites humans, even the most
pie-baking, grandchild loving, sweet little old lady. War stimulates our mind in many ways.
Whether you want to admit it or not...we are animals. Why do we watch horror films? It excites us. Why do we look at porn? It turns us on. Why do we
talk to friends and family? Socializing feels good.
Feels Good - You can live in a state of fear
because you love the rush! It
STIMULATES YOUR BRAIN. You can not stop this. You have no real control. Believing you have control is simply stimulating your brain, which is not true
control.
Some people live in fear not because it excites them to be on the edge of a power they can't stop. Rather, that they were raised to do it. It isn't
that they go out of their way for this 'thrill' - but rather they just expect it. They know no better. Regardless of raised this way, or choosing to
follow it... it still excites.
Peace Lovers: I expect the harshest backlash here... I'm not trying to upset you or cause a fight, but listen and ask yourself if this does or
does not make sense.
Do you feel good when you tell your friends how much you want world peace? Does it feel good to say you have a solution for X Crisis in Y Region? To
go and tell family that you wish people would only do it your way and that it doesn't make sense?
Yes. Deep down you do. You feel good for telling people who peace loving you are. Peace is good, therefor you are good for wanting peace right? Let
us end the wars and have peace! What if the wars did end...then you would have social arguments on what is best - the 'good' feeling would need to
come from somewhere. Don't believe me? Look at crime-free communities...they still find SOMETHING to "be better than thou" at. It is natural, I am not
saying you -want- to be a snob...I'm saying you can't help yourself. IT IS NATURAL for the brain to say without you noticing, knowing, or realizing:
"Look, this is a big bad thing! I feel good for telling people how bad it is."
War is the most universal threat. It doesn't temporarily go away like crime or social issues can. It is usually not local to you. You don't live with
war! You might live with crime or in a poor income state...but you don't actually face war daily. It is a universal bogey man. You face "world war 3
(or even end-of-world apocalypse)" just as much as the girl scout who sells cookies or the man on death row faces it. Everyone can relate to it
without living with it or having a real, first hand experience. Because it will affect our lifestyle, majority 'fear it' for feel good, and tell
others how much it should not happen.
Religion: Loomed, horrible wars have always been the staple of many religions. It gives people hope that their beliefs will stay the
doom-event. That in times of war they will be victorious. That in death they will be rewarded/recognized/not-cease-to-exist...and their enemies will
be granted eternal punishment/enlightenment/regret for eternity...all the while saving their heathen populace from themselves.
As above, this makes people feel good. "I have it right...and BECAUSE there is a giant looming war of death and fiery destruction...my religion is
justified and you should listen." This does not mean I am saying your beliefs are wrong or there is no war...just that you feel rewarded to tell
people about it if you are in this category.
Wanting it: Some people actually do want it...not just enjoy the feel good of discussing/warning/thinking of it... these can fall into any of
the above. For many reasons. I won't get off into this...but some DO want it.
I DON'T LOVE WORLD WAR X, IT IS HORRIBLE!
SOMEONE will post here how wrong this is and how they do not love WW3 and how horrible it is. That loving WW3 makes you a bad person, and they are
not. How could they love humans, do Earth Day, go to church, raise children, take care of animals, or any other homely thing...and enjoy/love WW3?
Simple, it makes you feel good. As I already said. If you don't enjoy the topic...then why are you here? Why are you bothering with a WW3 forum?
"I want the latest news!" - You enjoy the fear or need fuel to tell others. Or debate how bad it is or the tactics (thrill.) Sure, prepare all you
want, news is useful for this...but still, it excites you even if you just use it for good reason.
"I want to share my opinion." - You enjoy telling people how good you are and love to agree with others of like mind. Feels good.
"I want to warn the world of X religious Y" - See above.
Now by no means is this meant to be a comprehensive analysis of everyone's opinions... this is just a generalization. A study of why we humans insist
on discussing WW3. It can be applied to 2012/Disasters/Social/Political issues... but in this light, purely WW3.
So tell me, why are you here?
ME? I love telling people. Warning them of it before mainstream media does. The feel good of "I was first to tell!" so I watch others post here... I
also get a thrill out of the actual national-level tactics... I know, and do not wish to disrespect, actual combat veterans. War is not a game...it
isn't something to be degraded and placed into a 'sports' category... but it still excites me.
If it didn't excite us...why Sports? Why war games? Why war movies? Why war models? It engulfs out entire society... our society revolves around
feeling good.
Thank you for reading and I hope I offended no one. It is just how I see it and what I understand of humanity.
Tell me, why do you come here? Discuss.
