It's political commentary. The work is SUPPOSED to be provative and arouse emotions, contemplation, and opinion. That's what good artists do. This genre is known as pop-art.

I didn't say it wasn't art. I said it was in bad taste. The photograph "Piss Christ" that Andro Serrano took of a crucifix sitting in a jar of his own urine is likewise art. That doesn't mean his art wasn't likewise in bad taste.

Not that it matters, as this second image pretty much answers the whole question that started this thread to begin with- the first image from this artist definitely was a political commentary on the 9/11 attack, and it was used by an educator who simply saw an image of two children playing and didn't pick up on the 9/11 imagery.

Pentagon shapes on soccer ball (orb)
Twin Towers
Box cutters next to paper "people" laid out like body bags
Plane

Letters on blocks spell "ADD RAGE NOW" which is interesting as the girl seems to be about to "add" the letter A to the "tower" on her right... which is the first letter in the anagram I suggested.

this stuff always fascinates me.

I'm writing this without looking at the "source" material, and after reading only the first page of comments.

That having been said, The only thing that I could add would be regarding the letters on the blocks. The "ARMAGEDDON" was pretty obvious, but the "M" could also be a "W", in which case I see "AWARE", "ALERT" and "DoD". To me it seems that whoever made the original drawing was "aware" of the overall plot and was trying to "alert" the Dept. of Defense.

I'm also thinking that the pink and blue refers to "boys and girls" - but thats pretty subjective....

Could this be another sign or symbol of something, anyone know sign language or semaphore?

Yes, back in the 70's this was a hand sign to signify someone was Gay.

Also, I note that the heads of the cutout's are missing.

may be she has the sinister look because she is going to hit him in the balls with the letter "A" and his balls as being the jewels and like they struck our jewels as being the stock market

Think about how you felt when you began using a computer and and how you find it impossible to stay away from your computer for an extended period of time because the aliens which look like worms are feeding from the light of your computer screen and of course the information which is shared worldwide.
I will reply again with the story the picture tells that people did not see.

I was one of the ones who said this but by then I hadn't fully realized this was pop art instead of a toy advert. Once I realized what I was looking at I put up one of his pieces as my avatar!

You are a sick man!

I think the boys pants rolled up means we are slaves to the united states as in all the new rules we have to go by and just like the slaves in the old days look at there pants they were always rolled up from working in the fields

The two children represent one person.
The picture shows the right eye of the boy and the left hand raised.
The picture shows the left eye of the girl and the right hand raised but there are only two feet on the ground which are the feet of the boy. The left foot of the boy is pointing at and is under the girl as if to say the boy is carrying the girl.

The yellow A is the Aliens and the water on the planet (soccer ball) shows you they are in the water, which is in the oceans, the atmosphere and under the ground.

The girl is sitting and looks uncomfortable as you can see by the facial expression and the position of the legs.
The girl could be kneeling or standing but the feet are in front of the girl to show the girl is from the future.
The girl isn't alien but shows the changes in humans in the future which is why the position and shape of the ears and the hands are not anatomically correct.
The shoes are different sizes because the story is about the boy girl ratio on the planet which has been affected by the Aliens and the girl has come from the future to save the Human race.

Cythraul,
I see the flag in the boys clothes..aka stripes on shirt red, and blue pants. Aka red white & blue. I see ARMAGEDON in her blocks, very creepy! I see the four men holding hands....4 men of power perhaps. I see the box cutter but don't catch that analogy, hmmm also did anyone else notice they are both brunette white children? Instead of blonde...I find that significant.. This picture is very odd and subliminal to say the least! Can anyone enlighten me to maybe the overall message of this picture if they've picked it up before me? Maybe that we are the cause of our own end, and we are just players in elites building blocks..idk maybe I'm thinking too into it! Cool pic & share! Thanks 8)

If you gaze closely, almost hypnoticly, at the girls left shoe, specificaly the sole of her left shoe, and zoom in by 100's, up to 500% or more you can see an image of a person dressed in a hood and robe and carrying or holding an object. Looks like a depiction of the grim reaper. Nice art work! The entire painting is amazing. The blocks also look like the are ready to collaspe as the are stacked askew.

Even if this photo came pre-9/11 I still don't see the purpose of it. Which to me, says its all just a coincidence, or it was post 9/11 and purposefully used these symbols for some art recognition, or whatever. Whats the point of this thread other than to say, hey it looks like its depicting 9/11? If it is post then yea, it is, if it is pre then its just a coincidence.

Look at some of the other pictures this guy makes, one has a kid holding a spoon, while the other kid holds a flame underneath the spoon, while holding needles in her hand, all the while a plane is about to crash in the ground behind them a 100 yards away.

"the first image from this artist definitely was a political commentary on the 9/11 attack, and it was used by an educator who simply saw an image of two children playing and didn't pick up on the 9/11 imagery. "

You are stating this as fact? Please provide a link or two proving the above statement is correct.
