The secret gates at the heart of the Great Pyramid may be opened for the first time in 2012, a British robot company believes - solving a mystery that has puzzled archaeologists since 1872.

Scoutek UK had already begun exploring behind the gates earlier this year - and produced the first-ever images from behind the gates using a 'micro snake' robot. But the exploration was halted by the recent unrest in Egypt.

Expedition leader Shaun Whitehead said, 'I'm very confident we can resume work in 2012.'

This is so cool as it may finally happen, the sad part as most people know, the curious people that want to know will only hear about what's in there if what is found is suitable for the public to hear about, meaning if off world technology is found were not going to hear about it, if the door reveals an entrance to Hollow Earth we won't know, if they find scrolls and records that say something different about history of religion we won't hear about it. So as exciting and mysterious as this is, the truth about what is in there will always be a mystery no matter what they tell us.

It will probably activate some kind of beacon.
A beacon heading towards the aliens that built the pyramids in the first place.
Then the aliens will save us from 2012.

personally. yes. we are all beings from the same womb. would you not help a stranger on the street? or a man living on the streets? to what level of help is the question. you dont want to help them so much that their independence has gone.

I'm so stoked for this!

I still don't believe aliens took part in the construction of the pyramids (especially the Giza pyramids). However, what if the Giza pyramids were specifically designed to store some sort of sacred alien technology.

We are all from the same womb but yet we kill each other, war with each other, pollute the land we have, eat the animals we have. If animals obtained intelligence beyond ours do you think they would save us? If you were given 2 seats on this alien ship to survive would you leave your mom or dad or would you stay?

You can make believe that you are divine and all caring but when TSHT fan your not going to care about any strangers.

How can you be absolutely sure it's the last secret door? Maybe there are tons of other secret doors that no one has told you about, because they're secret.

when the shtf everyone will be looking out for number 1. myself on the other hand will deal with it how i have done with most things in my life. kick back relax and play it by ear. fear restricts the mind. acting without thought is the only way to react.

they should just deconstruct the pyramid. then they won't miss a thing. then when they are done, put it back together.

It is certainly an interesting and plausible theory although there are plenty of equally plausible alternatives. When you say 'power plants' what sort of power are you referring to? That in it's self is up for debate between nuclear/cosmic and other.

As has been stated we may get to hear about a mummy and/or some treasure, glyphs and other aesthetic museum worthy objects however, anything of any historical/spiritual/technological significance will be hidden at all cost...

It makes me wild, who are they to censor information regarding our past!?
