The "battle against obesity" though superficially noble gives the state an incredible amount of discretionary power over personal choice and liberty. What about sleep requirements?
First they came for the smokers, but I wasn't a smoker...
A free people are entitled to make choices, good, bad or indifferent. Controlling food (look how noble--it's for nutrition) gives the impetus to gain more control of the selections in ALL phases of life--not just the cafeteria line.

As long as you don't expect me to pay for your Medicare and SSI when your lifestyle finally renders you sick, broke and unable to work.
Reminds me of Ayn Ran, always complained about the moochers then she smokes herself into the hospital and then has taxpayers ponying up money for it.

The tacos were good, pizza burgers were awesome, tater tots with ketchup were off the hook.
If people are fat that means they over eat and/or dont exercise.

There is an anti-foaming agent in chicken nuggets along with a host of other things that are not needed to fry chicken.

The FDA has admitted that chicken meat that's sold in the good ole U.S. of A. conains arsenic that is purposely added to the chicken feed.

It's not about my approval. It's the simple reality that many people are dependent on the state for Health Care. Since this is the case the state has to intervene in lifestyle to lower costs
Joggers with knee problems are vastly outnumbered by the Obese with Diabetes. You better find another example.edit on 14-2-2012 by antonia because: rawr
It’s not weight gain which causes diabetes. It’s diabetes which causes weight gain. The majority of people with type 2 diabetes (there is no such thing as Type II diabetes) have an excess of insulin in their blood, which causes the body to lay down white adipose tissue. (There are two types of fat, white and brown, and it’s the white fat that is associated with health problems.)
