Better than Bernard,
Bernie could never keep his cool this long.
He would be yelling by now....

"HEHEHE...I GOT ALL YOU ATS MFers.
PAYBACK TIME YOU ATS MFers!!!!

YOU WON"T CANCEL MY ACCOUNT AGINNNNN!!!"

But no, we have somnolent, non-responsive 90 year USN vet that will not reply to at least one question regarding his OP.

Tom

ETA: Hey at least he could put up the photos of the "interior" of the B-25, not with the smoke detectors, if you know what I mean?

There are too many things wrong with the story to believe that he is a WW2 vet or served in the USNavy. No one 'sands paint;' ships crew chips paint. Needlers are used to chip steel decks and chipping hammers do everything else. That is why the wave guides are never painted. Teak decks get holystoned.
All Navy B-25's were land based and going from Deck division on a carrier to radioman on a shore based Navy bomber is a stretch. His dates are so wrong I have him as a high school student tweaking the gullible who have the "I want to believe" poster on the wall.

If he can't get his backstory correct, then what about the rest of it? This is a hoax and not a very well written hoax.

Alonzo.
Do you remember the outside of the "aircraft" looked almost like it had a "rough" surface but when you touched it ( if you had the chance) it was the smoothest thing you ever felt. And the smell, do you remember that almost sterile smell with a hint of heavy "oil" in the air?

Oh look. Another attention seeking thread. Show some pictures or your story is just a story.

I sometimes dislike living in a world of high speed. I reheat my coffee in the microwave for a minute and a half and start tapping my foot out of patience after forty five seconds. At the supermarket, if I have to wait more than five minutes in line, I start to breathe a little louder. Waiting more than two minutes at McD's for my order makes me hyperventilate.

Patience is no longer a virtue.

If this is your thread, it shouldn't take 3 days to respond to defend your claim. Be a man, step up, and say it like it is!

The Op's last reply was only roughly twelve hours ago.

I have read,open-mouthed every single post in this thread.

There are people on this forum to whom I bow.
Madams and Sirs,I salute you.

The OP seems to be writing utter poppycock,in exactly the same manner as the last hoaxer.

p.s.I know it may be difficult to read,as it is on this laptop, but it is DEFINITELY a B25 and not a B52 (please see video for clarification : )

A lot of emphasis has been placed on the kind of plane Mr. Typer alleges to have been in at the time of sighting the cigar-shaped unidentified craft…as if “the type of plane” he was in is the important piece of the story/puzzle.

And – in response to the question of his participation as a “Doolittle raider(s)”, he states “…I did take part in the “Doolittle Raids” as you call it…”…

There is nothing in this statement that shows Mr. Typer and the questioner to have been on the same page of understanding.
Only someone intent on discrediting someone-else (him), would state as absolutely as has been stated repeatedly in this thread…that said statement must be a false claim (without further proof).

If I am going to tell a tale of mystery…and…it is a mystery only because Someone doesn’t want it known… And…such a Someone has already demonstrated the character and willingness to use underhanded undertakings to keep such tales…mysterious…I am going to do my best to give you the guts of the story, along with enough side-winders…to keep my identity…a mystery.

If the story is or isn’t true…I don’t really care.

I would, though, have liked the opportunity to see/hear more of it…than your gross leaps of interpretation. And Yes, in my relatively worthless opinion – they are merely your interpretations/misinterpretations of what he stated and/or the meaning that was intended to be conveyed.

So – keep jumping up and down, patting yourselves on the backs for the fine job you’ve done – quashing another wannabe storyteller’s stab at fame and fortune…all the while educating the rest of us on how much credence to give to your future observations.

Before I began reading, I wanted you to know that you remind me of a friend I had in an AOL chatroom. Brer Fox ... he was an older Southern gentleman who lived in Louisiana. He never would tell me the town. That's who I think of when I read what you've written.

Welcome to ATS ....

First of all, Mr. Alonzo Typer, sincere respect to your effort in putting down that much detail into your story. Please ignore the criticism and share what you have to share. If it is false, it will be a good exercise for us in discerning the truth, if it is true, then it adds a considerable amount of information for us to consider.

I would also like to remark, that the causticity of the remarks on this forum has consistently surprised me. There is one "sense organ" that is slowly disappearing as the days go by, that instead of learning how to judge people better by the interactions on the internet, people seem to be eroding even basic human skills. If wrong claimants have arisen in the past, the question should be why one could not identify the truth of it from an inner sense, and not rip the story to shreds with a partial view that is provided. Evidently only the words are being read, and the skill of reading ACCURATELY between the lines is being lost. All we have instead is skepticism, criticism, and nitpicking on steroids, all, of course, under the noble cause of seeking the truth. Reminds one of the wars being held in the name of peace and liberty.

Please give the man a break. AND LET HIM SPEAK FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE. At least it must be obvious that it takes him some time to organize posts, and he is not as keyboard-happy as the current generation.

Nearly a hundred years back, Conan Doyle made Sherlock Holmes speak these words... "It is a capital mistake to theorize with insufficient data Watson." Are we so retrograde that we need that lesson repeatedly even today?

Please continue with the story when you get the time, Mr Typer.

Have no worries there, sir. Most people on this website have no military experience whatsoever, and fail to realize that the first casualty of war is truth. History books are seldom 100% accurate. I apologize for my lateness, but allow me to give you a proper vet to vet welcome. We need more people like you on this website, as many here just parrot what they have heard elsewhere. Very few actually speak from experience. I was also curious, did you have any involvement in the ill-fated XB-70 Valkyrie hypersonic bomber project? If so, what was your reaction to how it turned out. Personally, I think it was a huge waste to just scrap the whole project, but I guess shareholders had to be appeased. Also, what are your thoughts on the B-2. I have heard from a few that it was not worth the paper that the designs were printed on, but I would like to hear your opinion. Hope to hear back from you.

Are you really sure of that? How can you be so sure I wonder?
Have you actually read the whole thread through and through?

(A little hint: I do not think he will be posting any more in this thread, IMHO)

Oh trust me he will be back.On his intro thread he did the same thing. He waited until he cretaed two camps. One who believes and one who doesn't.Then he sat back and watched the stars and flags come in because we create the atmosphere for it to happen. Those who believe feel the ones who don't are being rude or disrespectful because he claims to be elderly.Who in their right mind would treat an elderly man like this?So many people blindly star and flag it for that reason alone.Trust me no one respects the elderly and war veterans as much as me.My grandfather fought in WW2 and I sat for hours listening to stories as a child and a young adult. But I still haven't seen a shred of evidence we are even dealing with an elderly man.Come on people. If I met him face to face trust me I would not doubt him for a minute if he had even the most basic proof of service.I said in his intro thread give us just one pic or piece of paper and he wouldn't have to comprimise his personal privacy one bit.So far nothing.I believe he disappears for so long because he needs to do more research to string together this web of common facts into some kind of a running story.I would say this is at best a type of experiment to see how many people will blindly believe and how many know in their gut they are being hoaxed.I'd geuss at a college kid with some skills in writing and minimal skills in research. It was more than ten pages before he finally came back last time. His intro thread got to almost thirty pages before they closed it.This one will go much farther. He usually comes back on later at night , watch the times of his posts.

There is a very distinct feeling you have when falling at a rapid rate of speed

I'm going to assume you were being colloquial with that blurb. That aside, I'm nodding my head in agreement with the underlying irony of that statement.
