Many times we have all seen threads go bad, heck, we have all participated in it on occasion. There is a reason that the moderators do not let people
threaten or call people names, this site is also viewed by kids. I try and remember that when I post. Now, personally, I don't care if someone
dislikes me or my posts and I don't really care if they insult me; but, I am not a 13 year old boy or girl being attacked by some 40 year old man on
the internet. For whatever reason (and it doesn't really matter) someone just got booted off the site, I saw his post and there was absolutely no
need for it and kids don't need to see that type of language.
I also want to thank the moderators for responding so quickly when these sort of things happen. Recently a thread was removed that I was on, it said
my posts were removed for being off-topic; but, I suspect the whole thread was removed because of the language and hate that the other person sent my
way, don't know for sure because all of this thread was removed and I couldn't see what he wrote after I logged back in. My guess is that some
pretty bad things were said. I have a blog and while I will write about some very upsetting things, like the NDAA, I also refuse to use cuss words
because I don't know if kids might read it, I also moderate every comment for the same reason, I let people insult me; but, I will not allow certain
things that would be offensive.
I am not asking people to be nice, I just don't see that happening when people are discussing highly polarizing issues. I am just trying to remind
people that your younger brother or your grandchild may be reading these threads also. Please no stars, I just wanted to remind us all of who might
read our words. Peace.
