Well, the pope representing God and Nikki representing the devil, together. The two have been paired together since... the beginning of religion. Can't have one without the other. So I'd say it's believable. Nikki understands this is the biggest stage for music and that any publicity is good publicity and she is taking advantage of both. This is no surprise.. I do think it's telling that her and many other musicians take on the role of the devil in their videos/costumes. It's trendy these days, not to excuse it away...

I did think it was funny how the narrator for the grammies said 4 or 5 times prior to Nikki's performance...
"Next, the Nikki Minaj performance everyone will be talking about tomorrow." That is, they WANT people to talk about it, to spread the energy of that particular side. The performance was comparable to Madonna's halftime show.... it sucked hard.

My GF was watching and I was drawn in by the awful intro. I then moved from my desk to the floor in front of the television. I was delighted with the lengths she went to upset large swaths of people. The song wasn't even an easy listen. My GF said something like, "She's no Lady Gaga" . She even upset Gaga fans. However, I think my Czech GF might have been offended that it made fun of her relatives. 1st the Superbowl and then this. I hope this revolution continues to go mainstream.

I also hope the rave vibe of the evening brings back real clubs.
