Col William Coleman, producer of that series, was Public Infromation Officer for Project Blue Book then Chief Public Relations Officer for the U.S. Air Force. It wasn't until after his retirement that he went public with his 1955 sighting witnessed by his total crew of five in a B-29 (in which he followed a metallic disc). He also said the first day he had access to the Blue Book files he looked for his and his crew's reports of the sighting, but they weren't on file. He revealed this in 1978 when talking about the then-new series Project UFO on the Merv Griffin Show.

And there are a few more episodes on YouTube.

I would LOVE to see this series revamped with today's spfx..
Question tho:
Were these episodes taken directly from PBB, or are they fictional accounts?

I remember watching the show religiously when it came out. I understood it to have been based on actual case files.

Haven't thought about that show in decades.

Watching one episode where they're in Nevada, where an AF LT saw a UFO...
Area 51 perhaps?

Here is a link to the show's entry on IMDB.com:

"Project U.F.O."
www.imdb.com...

Seems the show was also called: "Project Bluebook".

Here's a link to the show's associated discussion board there:
