I enjoyed Interdimensional Universe by Philip Imbrogno. He highlights past and present cases. He also talks about how the lead scientist for project blue book went from skeptic to believer.

I should also say that at least half of these are just crazy ramblings of lunatics. The other half are from respected authors who are experts in their field. Enjoy.

The first thing you need is an open mind because you are dealing with a subject that lacks evidence so whatever you read is going to be someone's creation and they are free to state whatever they want. You will NOT read factual material it's all going to be speculation and assumption. However, keep in mind that you are asking for help from people who are only going to express their opinion.

Can a Mod put a sticky on this thread? Seems like we get this same question every week from new members.

Not that it's a bad question to ask about the books, but its the same question.

"Communion" by Whitley Strieber is my personal favorite btw. Start with this one.

Your recommendation is exactly what I warned the OP about. Strieber is a writer best known for his horror novels "THE WOLFEN" and "THE HUNGER" and for "COMMUNION, a non-fiction account of his perceived experiences with non-human entities. However, could you take the word of a horror author claiming that he interacts with aliens? The title of his book happens to be a catholic ritual due to the fact that he attended Central Catholic Marianist High School in San Antonio, Texas.

Alien agenda, by Jim marrs. Covers a wide range of topics neatly split chapter by chapter. Great place to start covers all the bases from abductions to zeta reticuli. You can also check him out here on ATS. He,s one of the pros here. Read a little "the view from marrs" his section here, under conspiracy professionals.

Agreed about Alien Agenda. Amazing book as well. My second favorite.

David Icke, "Human Race get off your knees" - is a great read. Some subjects to be taken with a pinch of salt but it really does open you up and question everything happening in the world afterwards!

Depends of what do you need.

I'd start with Vallee's and Hynek's works but these are from times where there was that fabled period of "space brothers" in ufology and everyone considered aliens "good enlightened brothers from another galaxy".

More serious and competent read would be Budd Hopkins, Karla Turner, Linda Cortile, Katheleen Wilson, David Jacobs, et al. These books largely deal with abduction phenomenon in general. Kenneth, Barker, Fowler (albeit this one is actually bordering on hardcore fantasies), Steiger. Some people think that Communion is a good book, and try it although Streiber is hard to read (at least for me).

Generally reading UFO books is like going through a maze; you stumble across gems which are properly researched, analyzed etc and you stumble across total nut stories where everything is mixed up and fantastic, improbable ideas are intervined with scientific and ufology-proven facts.

Idk how it is in the U.S. but in the Europe the nut stories of Schneider, Valerian, Branton, Lear have gained little foothold. Most european ufologists cater to a mix of classic 60's-80's UFO literature with addition of newer works of well estabilished authors.

Boy! What a smack-'em-all-down-I-know-what's-true-and-they-are-all-false point of view. Having had a time-loss experience back in the '60s, and having seen a triangle in '98, I know your statement serves a purpose for your own well-being on the situation, but it is obviously false.

How about the book by Capt. Edward J. Ruppelt, the fomer head of Project Blue Book, entitled The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects Doubleday, 1956? While it is a whitewash of that project, he tells us alot about it that we wouldn't know otherwise. However, you should know the subject within that time period fairly well because it enables you to read between the lines for what he doesn't say or why he does say some things.

Many debunkers have retired by now, isn't it time? You can never prove a negative (by denial).

The book I've mentioned above, The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects Doubleday, 1956, is the all-time, single, best classic book on UFOs and the early handling of the situation by the government.

You probably would have to go to Amazon to find copies. It is a collector's item, well worth the price.

. . .Over twenty years ago, a group of individuals from several different worlds gathered at a discreet location in our solar system near the Earth for the purpose of observing the alien visitation that is occurring in our world. From their hidden vantage point, they were able to determine the identity, organization and intentions of those visiting our world and monitor the visitors’ activities. This group of observers call themselves the “Allies of Humanity.”

This is their report.

  1. Allies of Humanity - Book One - An Urgent Message About the Extraterrestrial Presence in the World Today
  2. Allies of Humanity - Book Two - Human Unity, Freedom, and the Hidden Reality of Contact
  3. Allies of Humanity - Book Three - A Message to Earth

Here are some that I have read in the last couple of years:

UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go On the Record by
Leslie Kean

Silent Invasion: The Pennsylvania UFO-Bigfoot Casebook by Stan Gordon

Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience: The True Story of the World's First Documented Alien Abduction by Stanton T. Friedman and Kathleen Marden

Night Siege: The Hudson Valley UFO Sightings by
Dr J. Allen Hynek, Philip J. Imbrogno, Bob Pratt

Crash: When UFOs Fall From the Sky: A History of Famous Incidents, Conspiracies, and Cover-Ups by Kevin D. Randle

I found the book Captured! Particularly interesting because I have, of course, heard of the Hill case but had some misconceptions. The fact that author Kathleen Marden was Betty Hill's niece gave the book some interesting depth.

The Leslie Kean book was also top notch.
