If standing up for the freedom to do as I will, even on the Internet, makes me a terrorist than so be it.

Seems to me that when people don't understand something they attack it for the wrong reasons. Also seems to me like a bunch of angry little trolls been lighting up the boards lately. Hence the rant forum.

Keep trying my friend. Seriously, if you took the time to look through my posts you'll find that I am not Anon. I'm very comfortable with my beliefs... I'm also confident in my understanding of this little thing called the constitution of the USA.

Congratulations, you've met a terrorist

"If standing up for the freedom to do as I will, even on the Internet, makes me a terrorist than so be it. "

This I have no problem with

Its the active destruction of property that I have a problem with...do as you will..I will do as I will...as long as it does not step on the freedom of others.

Anonymous makes threats, and then actions against others...anyone they deem .... uh.... uh... well... I don't know exactly who anonymous sees as its enemies so far its a pretty open field.

I think maybe I would like to say, not knowing who anonymous is makes it difficult to see what they stand for..except anarchy

Think of Anon as a big fireball. Glowing white hot in the center.

Your schoolboy analogy pertains to the simple scrub fires that make the news.... but they can do more than you think, and are by all means, not school boy bullies.

You'd think skoolkidz with too much time on their hands would be swept up in a single facebook sweep.

alas, the core of it all, is decades in the making.. stems from a quest for knowledge and ends with hardly a peep in the media. skilled people in nefarious activities do not often make it that far, it's just too embarrassing for their victims.

But as long as it's just skoolkidz, it's all good

the opposite of total and complete control is anarchy.

I guess you are correct. be controlled or be anonymous.

Does holding a banner make me a terrorist?

I'm the one on the right btw.

Are you a troll or just very uninformed? Enlighten me on what property was destroyed by Anonymous. This isn't some 13 year old anarchy movement. These are every day people with jobs and families. It must be really difficult to talk with your foot so far in your own mouth.

Websites are property. Personal information is property.

My personal information was violated today by someone claiming to be anon here on ATS.

If you aren't aware of this then nevermind

Thank you very much
. Please note this is me after driving an uninspected ford focus with 2 burned out cylinders, a clogged catalytic converter, bald tires, a slipping transmission and bad brakes from new jersey to texas. No money for a hotel slept 4 people in my car. But not bad for the situation and I think I don't look too bad for 30.

Hey thanks for the hint as to your identity....but..I don't see anything but a mask.

Where is the accountability ?

I think anyone who is protesting in public should be outlawed from disguising their identity...

If you are willing to stand for a cause, then you should be willing to let your community know who you are and why you support a cause.

That link does not exist. Anyone can claim to be anon. That doesn't mean everyone that claims to be part of anon is part of anon. It seems like you're just angry and lashing out.

That is a horrible idea. You would allow the government to pass such a law? I hope you realize what a slippery slope that is. If you don't see why this is bad, step back and use that thing between your ears.

and the mods agree...thats why this thread is in Rants ..

I'm not angry though...I do resent people Hiding in groups attacking others and I question their motives.

The link I posted is in RATS...it is related to an attack on Above Top Secret that happened and users names, passwords were posted for all to see...and anon claimed responsibility

My info was nabbed in the same hack. Seriously?

If you took the time to read the whole explanation you would know that it's pretty much a non issue. Go change your email, and pick some new passwords.

If you really think your little bitch fest about anon is enough to change squat you should reasess the situation. Everyone on the Internet is anonymous, unless your one of those folks who likes putting personal info on blast via Facebook, MySpace or a number of other highly monitored social web sights.... That give away information for practically nothing. At least ATS had the curtousey to give the members a heads up and keep us in the loop.

End your rant. Your showing your ass.

I was targeted in that attack but the e-mail ats sent out did not say anything about anonymous. You know there are other people that hack right? It wasn't talked about in anon-ops either. I want to see some proof that they took responsibility.

I do..I know

But I also know that anonyminity allows people to do things they wouldn't otherwise....I value my identity here on ATS....This is me. My posts represent my ideals. And have consistently.

Anon takes advantage of no accountabilty I think that should be adjusted.

Personal information is your property no doubt about that, until you post it on a PUBLIC WEBSITE. Did you think that this web site was exclusive to that?
