No, you are wrong, our government is a bunch of spineless cowards, and the liberal, tree hugging freaks that steer the government, the labor unions and all the rest of the social engineers that think everyone that lives here should be able to do so for free are cowards and good for nothings and the root of all that is wrong with this country. But I will give you that our good for nothing government is full of the most spineless cowards on the face of the earth, they sit in their safe little castle and dictate the lives of millions at no risk to their own, and not at the risk of their children either, I bet their kids are not in any harms way while I have to worry about my son who will graduate high school soon, will a war cause him to be sucked up in a draft, I can see it coming, I was drafted, it does not take much for the fat jowled politicians to institute a draft knowing that their own children will not be drafted and that the rich children can buy their way out of the draft.

But We are not cowards sir...

No chance of a DRAFT...do you know how hard it actually is to get into one of the U.S. Military Branches? It is tough! They are not looking for just High Scool Grads anymore....they want people who are either out of College or have some specific skill such as people with mechanical or Computer experience...or people who already have an associates degree and intend to continue their education. A person with just a GED is unlikely to get in.

The U.S. Military wants Highly Intelligent Soldiers for the 21st Century Battlefield who can easily understand High Tech. Equipment as the U.S. Military has directives for all branches of the servises to run 40 to 50% of some vehicles roboticly by 2016. As well s a shift toward VERY HIGH TECH WEAPONS.

The Chinese and Russians know that they have almost no chance of defeating any U.S. Conventional War and the disparity with their sub-par Navies and Airforces make them rely on Nuclear Deterents. Thing is...as of late and too an astounding level within a few years...Russia and Chinas Nuclear Deterents will not be much of a factor anymore.

The idea of an IRAN that thinks it has a chance in a WAR with the United States is a Joke! Split Infinity

Yes unfortunately your opinion will be more biased as for the site being hosted in the US. I see these points mentioned all the time, and there was mentions in this thread of what i stated.

Always an excuse for america the innocent so matter what the allegations are.

Just do as we say but not as we do. carry on living to that motto and be none the wiser.

I don't think any Countries matter any more. so all this talk of American this or anti-American that, are really quite irrelevant - America, as well as most of the world are simply being used - As soon as any county has outlived its usefulness, it will be shelved - America is a prime example of a Country on the brink of implosion - The people have zero rights left so forget about the constitution, the economy is akin to a rigged game of monopoly, democracy is a myth - It has become a fascist military dictatorship - etc, etc.....

I do not blame the American people because they are the ones who are suffering now and in the future.

I don't know what the solution is or how endemic the problem is - Can we cut out this cancer from humanity ?

Like I said at the outset - These are just my confused thoughts.....

I wish that some realized that since ww2 we have had political battles and soft occupations that were never meant to be "won". If the US mil decided to lay waste and conquer, it could easily. It just wont be allowed to and we will wind up with soft occs like Iraq, Vietnam, and Korea. It has made us look very weak considering it wasnt a lay waste sort of battle allowed to be fought. I say let any enemy consider us weak and overestimate their might. My doubts are with this administration having the stomach for laying waste to any enemy regardless of the threat. I really dont see Iran as a threat at all, personally. I didnt see Iraq as a threat either. Maybe someday people will realize these werent "wars" to be won to begin with and stop making silly assumptions about our war capabilities based on these actions. A world war will begin if we go balls out or plan to and some here need to understand the difference between a military or police action versus a world war.
IMO leave Iran alone, sanction them if its the agreement of the UN we are harnessed by ( and should dump) . If those in the ME who come whining to us about taking Iran out ( Saudi, Israel, et al) want them out so bad, do it themselves. Id even go as far as withdrawing aid from those who are warmongers who we are currently aiding to the detriment of our own economy.
I will say this, IMO if the UK was threatened Id vote for a balls out war. Who cares if some on here are anti US. Id do it against any outside nation's dissent. On my map, the UK is a hell of a lot closer to the problem geographically speaking and I happen to love some UKers. The Mullahs you hear speaking currently and so carefully are nuts. It would be like Fred Phelps advising and controlling Obama and speaking for our nation. Islam is a decent religion that the mullahs use to justify their bloodlust. The Iranian people are just people like us. The ones you see chanting death to America and burning flags are as filled with propaganda as our own fellow Americans who are chanting make the ME glass and blow Iran/Iraq/Syria off the map. No different. The largest segment is like a silent majority, they dont want war and dont agree with the govt. Im very familiar with Iran, was married to an Iranian and have been to Iran numerous times. Im not regurgitating garbage, but giving my beliefs based on real observation and experience. If they could have overthrown this govt they have, they would have. We COULD have aided them, but decided to click our tongues and watch them be squashed again. Maybe ask yourselves why we aided other "revolutions" and not the Iranian revolution of recent time.
We REALLY need a new administration. In fact, we need a new congress, house, etc etc. Im fantasizing again. The jokers Ive observed myself during my lifetime need to go. Republican and Democrat.. clean sweep. Im rambling, but I cant even find anyone I want to vote for anymore. As if voting even counts.

Of course we cant, now isnt the time anyway. I have said nothing about overthrow, there are many ways to change and not all of them are violent. You just wait for the right opportunity and it will present itself eventually. Maybe not in my lifetime, but there will be a window of opportunity I believe.

Just my opinion : We are arrogant to feel and boast that we are THE generation to change our system completely. WE havent even bothered to consider the protocol required to transition and just clamor for change and freedom, when what I read here and elsewhere indicates we collectively have no idea what true freedom is and the process of this sort of radical change would entail.

I agree. This place is still better than most. Ive traveled all over and its always nice to get back in to the US. We have been taken over by corporations and money machines. I have no good ideas on how to get the money influence out of government short of having the whole system collapse and rebuild it. Unfortunatlly, all the candidates short of Ron Paul seem to be bought and paid for before they even get into office (not an endorsement for Paul. He'll never get in because of just that).
As far as a war with Iran being suicide? It sure would be for Iran. We have a whole lot more stuff that goes boom than they do... Scary part is, that president has said he'd sacrifice his country to wipe out Israel. That's a frightening proposition. He seems to think that all the arabs will go along with him but I don't think that necessarily true.

The U.S. and Russia are not going to WAR over any country for any reason unless either of the two countries actually...and this will never happen...launched Nukes at each other. The same can be said for the Chinese as all three nations need each other more than any of these other Half Ass Treaty Energy Regimes. The U.S. has NO intention of starting a war with Iran...a country that has a population that is 90% Pro-Democracy and will soon rule over the Old Guard.
As far as some of your imposible scenarios...lets look at one...say for some stupid reason...Iran tries to Block the Strait where the vast Majority of the World Oil...Including IRAN's...is shipped through. The U.S. Navy would have to act and it would in a matter of HOURS destroy the entirety of Irans Navy both surface ships and all subs. Then the Fifth Fleets Carrier roup would destroy the entire Iranian Airforce...plus as I have metioned on other topics close to this one...the U.S. would employ New Non-Nuclear EMP devices to render all Iranian Ground counter offensives against THOUSANDS OF U.S. Special Forces and Airborne Rangers sent in to secure all Iranian Nuclear Sites...and yes...we know where they ALL are. Russia and China have already stated they would not get involved ina U.S./Iranian War. This is their words...this is the reality....now prove me wrong.

And for some stupid reason? Iran has every reason to block the strait and if they did they would also target the military bases the US has in the middle east to start with. They would also have terror cells set up in America amongst other places and they would carry out attacks on US soil. Iran also has allies close to the US in South America. US soil will not be immune. There will be dead Americans on US soil. It took a year for Libya. Afghanistans not done yet. Persia is not like them. You can bunker bomb their runways,blow the hell out of them but they will not be defeated easily and they will hurt America.

Inside....unfortunately you are on the outside looking IN! I have nothing agaist you and hope you have a wonderful life....but please try to understand...post 1945....the World Lied in Ruins. STALIN...a Man who had once had a Military Pact with the Nazis after WWII saw EASY PICKINGS AND IF IT WERE NOT FOR TH UNITED STATES AND IT'S NUCLEAR WEAPONS.....the Soviet Union would have gained control 0f a vast amount of land and resourses as although most folks do not know this....SEVERAL TIMES the U.S. had to threaten to BOMB RUSSIA with Nukes just to prevent the Soviet Union from gobbling up the Middle East as well as take parts of Japan...they even had the BALLS TO DEMAND THE U.S. RETURN ALASKA!
