Neotame the next Aspartame? FDA doesn't require labeling of latest chemical sweetener from Monsanto

Almost a year ago today: there was discussion here on ATS...
Here... posted by Macabees [color=#00BFFF]02·06·11

There are some important points that need to be understood and subsequently raged over (IMO).

It could be lurking in the foods you eat every single day, including U.S. Department of Agriculture [color=gold](USDA) certified organic foods, and you would never even know it.

Just like the new GMO Salmon, labeling requirements don't exist.

A modified version of aspartame with even more added toxicity, NEOTAME received quiet and unassuming FDA approval back in 2002.

Wow, How many people were "awake" back in 2002?

Not as many as right now that's certain.

Thank you NaturalNews.com for reintroducing the information.

We ALL need to rehash, rediscuss, realert, rediscover.

AND As Yoda had said "You must unlearn what you have learned".

Sidetrack: Heh, Do you want another enlightening footnote? About Yoda (StarWars fame).

The word Yoda (Yada) is from Modern Hebrew and
(loosly translated from prime root) means Wisdom & Knowledge!
Thank you George Lucas.

You must unlearn what you have learned. ... ALSO, discover what you have missed.

In what types of food would this sweetener be found in?

It's easy to justify hiding of the ingredients as keeping of corporate secrets in the name of profit.

I feel a bit uneasy about not being able to find out what chemicals are in my food.

Wouldn't it be nice if they had to disclose all ingredients?

It's my understanding that it can be listed as "Natural Flavorings"

Do you want a real eye opener?

Go read the label of your Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup. (or any other Campbell's soup)

the list of ingredients are staggering. Including 'Natural Flavorings'.

Yet another obscure ingredient to avoid.

Thanks for the info! I never heard of Neotame before. I just did a brief net search on Neotame and it definitely appears to be another additive that we must avoid. I'll be passing the info along to others. Peace.
