The following is totally believable IMHO with western powers stirring up and arming the protesters then staging fake body counts which are covered in the western MSM
www.washingtonsblog.com...

While the Western media act like the Syrian government is wantonly and indiscriminately killing its own people without provocation, an independent investigation has found a different reality on the ground.

Of course the US wont rule out supplying arms to the protesters
english.ruvr.ru...
Then there are protesters caught with Israeli weopons

The Syrian security forces have seized Israeli weapons from armed groups responsible for the killing of hundreds of people across the country.

www.presstv.ir...

And now reports are starting to filter through of British Special Forces entering Syria to aid the rebels in what looks like a repeat of the Libyan operation

“British and Qatari special operations units are operating with rebel forces under cover in the Syrian city of Homs just 162 kilometers from Damascus, according to DEBKAfile’s exclusive military and intelligence sources,” states the report, adding that the foreign units are not engaging in direct combat but are acting in an advisory capacity, while also relaying requests for arms outside of the country.

www.prisonplanet.com...
So right now the US Government needs a major war to blame the coming bad times on. "Sorry there is no gas, but you know there is a war on!" "Sorry there is no food, but you know there is a war on!" "Sorry there is no medical care, but you know there is a war on!" "Sorry there is no [insert basic necessities of life here], but you know there is a war on!" Absent a major war, the people of the United States will rightly blame the federal government for the horrendous mess they made looking the other way while Wall Street committed the biggest financial swindle in history, then tried to shift the losses onto the people. So the Federal Government needs a war and they need it right now, because after all, they evaded the blame for the crash of 1907 by getting into WW1, they evaded the blame for the crash of 1929 by getting into WW2, so it stands to reason they will evade the blame for the crash of 2008 by getting into WW3.

Well that wouldn't be surprising at all.

Though if the US Government used World War 2 as the excuse for the 1929 crash they waited about 12+ years to find an excuse !

Allow me first to attack your sources.

VOICE OF RUSSIA???? No agenda there? Couldn’t be because their ally, Syria, is in the wrong and starring down the barrel of a gun???
Look at what has happen recently:

A few days ago, Russia and China blocked the UN Security Council resolution that demanded that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad should step down.

Yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the Chief of Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Mikhail Fradkov, paid a visit to Damascus in a bid to prevent outside military interference in the Syrian conflict. External forces should contribute to dialogue and reconciliation, while avoiding any instigation.

Anyway, what do actions in Syria have to do with IRAN?? Draw a connection, please. The death of innocent Syrian citizens at the hand of their leaders is OK because any intervention is against IRAN????

Hundreds of innocent civilians have been killed in Syria in the name of WHAT? And this is Iran’s business WHY?

Since I have friends who are currently living in Syria, in the very city the majority of fighting is concentrated in: Homs, I know exactly whats going on.

And here it is: according to my friends, the shooting started with the government sources, but the different sects took arms against each other. In the beginning it was anyone who was against the government. They had their own front and although not completely unified they were determined to label and kill anyone who was 'pro-government'. This meant that they shot and killed innocent people who had said that they did not want fighting, and wanted the public to calm down, which is the same thing the government was saying on TV.

Then it got worse, the civilian sects between Alawis, and Sunni Muslims are trying to kill each other regardless of who and what they are. Children, women, old people etc.

The # has literally hit the fan. And although the government is trying to gain control again by bombing and scaring the crap out of its own people, they have no idea what they're doing.

No body is saying it, but this is an open civil war now. And they need to come out and say it.

On the other hand, Syria is one of the few countries Russia actually has a base in the Middle East. Because of this they will utterly be against any kind of action against taking down the Syrian government.

Islam, for one. And if Syria becomes occupied by the west like Iraq and Afghanistan, then that leaves Iran, all alone. Got a Map? Divide and conquer. They know they're next. You would do the same thing to them if you could.

The death of innocent Syrian citizens at the hand of their leaders is OK because any intervention is against IRAN????

"Intervention". A gentle euphemism. Oft used by misinformants who want to downplay the real specter of invasion, subjugation and pillage.

Hundreds of innocent civilians have been killed in Syria in the name of WHAT? And this is Iran’s business WHY?

Citing hundreds of deaths as an excuse to invade a sovereign nation. There you go again. It's their nation. What right do you have to to start killing the very people you profess to help? And it is everyone's business when
you, yes you start banging the war drums in the name of "peace and human rights". Stop it already. They ain't fooled and neither am I.

America wants to go to war with Iran but everyone is backing away from that by going into Syria Iran has to come to Syrias aid making Iran the agressor and giving America and Israel the high moral ground its all about resources

Yet have you ever stopped to think, “Why does America choose to step in some situations and totally ignore others?” Take for example the slaughter in Darfur, Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria and countless other nations. When real violence is taking place in these place, much worse than what is alleged to be happening in Syria, the truth is that since they don’t hold any strategic resources, such as oil, imperialist simply chose not get involved.

This is exactly the same as Libya

Thanks for sharing that.

And that as well. Here the west bumps up against some real trouble if they continue their reckless course of invade and conquer. Up to now, there has been little real opposition to their primary goals.

After Libya it has become clear to the rest of the world the true nature of America and it's allies in the region. No one is safe. So Russia and China exercised veto power against another such UN sanction that would have applied the same tactic now in Syria first, and Iran after. They have stood in unison against the REAL Regime threatening the world today.

The world holds it's breath now the same way it did before Nazi Germany invaded Poland in 1939. Germany had been gobbling up countries in a rapid pace (Libya even), flexing it's militaristic muscle throughout Europe, Africa, and the Atlantic. They professed Peace and the spread of German Ideals (Duetschland ubbe alles), but the world was appalled and had grown worried at the expansive growth and militarism of Germany's Industrial War Complex.

History is Rhyming again. If America doesn't stand down now, it may find that it is not the biggest baddest bully on the block when compared to the rest of the world uniting against it. Dangerous times are these, we are at a brink.

Well this is all like a game of Risk actually.

The Russian and Chinese form a block that are against American Imperialism. They will take up friendship with anyone that will support them. Since Iran is in the same group, they have formed a sort of unannounced coalition.

They see American's putting up bases in the majority of countries in the Middle East, which means these countries act like satellites for American intentions. Then they realize: hey, we don't have as much satellite countries as they do, we gotta do our best to do so. So they get up and try to find allies from people who are pissed off at the US enough to go into coalition with them. And if the tables had turned lets say, and Russians were the ones who had satellite countries in and around the US, wouldn't that make the US government agitated and paranoid?

Its a game of chess.

Now I'm not Pro-American or Pro-Muslim or Pro anything, but I can assure you, if the tables had turned, and the Chinese or the Russians were creating satellite countries out of the world and not the US, they wouldn't be half as as merciful.

My dad who is a very keen observer of politics said this himself: I'd rather be ruled over by Americans than the Chinese. And he's not American.

Excellent. Good parallel. The goal is to win the game by conquering the whole world. See USA.

Pleased to meet you. I'm Anti War. Merciful? WWII showed us that when everyone plays the War Game, we all lose. Citizens of Germany and Japan were carpet bombed, fire bombed and nuked even, razing whole cities to the ground... without_batting_an_eye.

This is very dangerous territory for everyone in the world today. I have studied history and in no recorded era did the big empires of the past have the sort of weapons resources that the whole world has today.

My dad who is a very keen observer of politics said this himself: I'd rather be ruled over by Americans than the Chinese. And he's not American.

That remains to be seen. If mostly everything is destroyed and everyone is dead then it will little matter who is in charge of the radioactive rubble. Now, wouldn't you like to play a nice game of Risk?

Everything probaly will be destroyed but the instigators will be safe in their bunkers and as far as they are concerned its probaly a good way to reset the clock and keep them in the drivers seat

We're just observing the fact that Russians and Chinese have a history of openly slaughtering their own people without so much as a single feeling of guilt.

Americans have slaughtered others, but not their own. So they seem to be a bit more merciful. Also, they have this big thing about protecting human rights and things, although that seems to be twisting over time.

And ofcourse, the men behind the covers, who don't even bother going down into war themselves, cause suffering for those around them.

And thats probably why I like the Occupy movement so much. Because it just gives me a little bit of hope that leaders will come and go, and change so whenever they cause war, they'll have to put themselves in danger along with their citizens.

I hope not. I think they think they are safely removed from the consequences of their actions. I hope they get to listen with increasing fear the way Hitler did when the shelling kept getting closer and closer, knocking down bits of ceiling into his "whole porridge". The way Mussolini must have felt the day they dragged him to his death at the hands of his beloved Italy. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

You know, I used to think that too, but our history has a civil war in it that killed a bunch (American Civil War). When we weren't doing that we were killing Native American Indians, Mexicans and the Spanish. Then we subjugated and exterminated the Germans, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Cambodians, Laotians, Nicaraguans, people of El Salvador, Panamanians, Serbs, Somalians, Iraqis, Afghans, Libyans, and who's next??? That was the short list, by the way. We have interfered and manipulated many nations thru corruption, assassinations, and intrigue. I am an American so I can say this... the idea of how America should be and really is is changed. Of, by and for the people is no more. Just to let you know, don't believe what the main stream media tells you all over in the Middle East about the nice helpful peaceful US of A.

Caught red-handed again embellishing the truth
www.prisonplanet.com...

We can already see exact parallels with the current PR operation to bring down Syria with how Libya went down. In one story published today, it seems that one award-winning mainstream newspaper has been caught red-handed running faux news on Syria – and incredibly, it’s not the first time this exact story has been used.

Yes I know its an Alex Jones link but he does get it right sometimes

While the Western media act like the Syrian government is wantonly and indiscriminately killing its own people without provocation, an independent investigation has found a different reality on the ground.
