'Glowing UFO' spotted hovering over London

A budding alien hunter has spotted what appears to be a UFO in the skies above London.

Here is a video captured Feb. 5 over the Thames river in London.

Considering that the only other video that space99dude has loaded up to Youtube is a very obvious fake of the 'sky sounds' with the audio ripped off the 'strange sounds in Kiev' video i would guess this is probably a hoax as well.

Nice catch. Shame the person who recorded this didnt zoom out or record for longer. Debunkers will use that to their advantage saying it could be anything... which it could be really.

OK, i embedded the "enhanced" version. I get YouTube once out of 100 times here at work (it's blocked). even if i get the link to work it usually doesn't play the video.

I agree - the second video clearly shows it's on the water.

Next...

It looks like a mobile oil/drilling platform to me, the lower part reaching down being the struts to the floats underneath the water line. The part reaching out to our right a crane of some sort.

What a drilling platform would be doing there I don't know?

Video is no longer there.

When zoomed out in the second video, you can clearly see that the "UFO" is floating in the water. This is an unidentified floating object, probably a container ship. I say we all stop paying attention to this kid.

Stationary floating object in what might or might not be the sky =/= UFO.

UFO's usually dart about and generally change formation or structure at some point...including color. This one did none of that, leading me to conclude you've got either a hoax or just something else.

By the second clip I dare to say it has a pyramid-like shape. Looks authentic to me!

I think it's a rig. The London array is being built in that area, big wind farm. The sea floor needs to be bored and piles drove in to take the wind turbines.

Good for the second as well.

Firstly, it's in The Mail, and The Mirror - well known arbiters of truthfull journalism.

secondly they try to sensationalise it with '...over London' when in fact it's actually over the Thames Estuary, miles outside London, probably taken from the QE2 bridge.

it's 'probably' some kind of boat/ship/rig thing, or given that City airport is in that direction it could be a plane, or helicopter.

Yeah, thing is though Boats dont have that sort of light arrangement. If anyone can find a boat that looks remotley like that, good luck.

Thames Estuary is one of the busiest shipping areas in the UK though, so basicaly on any given day at least a hundred ships and there crews saw that, including all the tug crews and pilots etc. Surprised this is the only video of it. Which in itself is a bit odd.

Always weird that isnt it, there only ever seems to be one camera phone video off something hundreds of people would have seen.

Infact as posted above its probably an offshore gas platform. That would make sense.
