Its too big to be a Bear and Mammoths "supposedly" went extinct only around 4,000 years ago...

Siberia is a huge land mass of over 5 million square miles, almost 10% of the Earth's land surface and is much larger than the entire USA...

Among the top 5 most unexplored places on earth,Siberia is number 1 > www.thfire.com...

Remember the coelacanth that was found alive and well? that Fish was "suppose" to have gone extinct 65 million years ago and yet its still living among us and so are sharks, alligators and other such living dinosaurs...

All though the possible Mammoth in the footage may be of a young one, full grown Wooly Mammoths were huge animals at least double the size of a Modern Elephant and this link shows an excellent side by side comparison of a Human,Modern Elephant and Wooly Mammoth > www.design-laorosa.com...

No point warbling on about if it's a bear or the possibility of it being a woolly mammoth - it's a fake.

Got it now?

Oh well its a fake, people that do this undermine the real items that come along.Siberia is still a huge land area that represents 10% of the worlds land mass and is the most unexplored area on earth and real mammoths could be there.Seem to recall admiral byrd seeing one not so long ago in the northern regions somewhere...

Haha cool video don't really know what to make of it so i'll just leave it at no comment.

I laughed at how in the article it says they asked a paranormal expert to check it out? How exactly is a paranormal expert meant to help with the sighting of an extinct animal?

I dunno I just found that funny

shouldn't this be in the hoax forum?

I have to agree with most posters, most likely a bear with a fish.

But if this is real, HUGE NEWS could be one of the biggest finds in decades

Its obviously not 50 feet tall and its obviously not 6 inches tall,so if you look at the surrounding area and the relatively nearby objects like trees and rocks, its not very difficult for someone to come up with a fairly accurate distance and size estimation...

It does look like a bear, but it looks like if it is holding a large fish, it is holding it by the tail and I don't see any thrashing that you would expect from a fresh kill, or it is a woolly mammoth hahahaha

Although this may be footage of a young one, full grown mammoths were huge animals and much bigger than most people probably realize...fuzzco.com...

In a day and age with HD cameras and all that rot, a blurry photoshoped bear doesn't qualify as anything but an embrassiment to those that bring ligitimently intresting facts about the strange to the table. It's things like this that discredit the whole bloody system.

That could be a (very large) salmon instead of a strangely light coloured trunk, but the body and gait looks wrong for a bear and you can just make out large ears flapping around - so either a fake or it could be the real thing - wouldn't be that impossible for a small herd to have survived in such a very remote area.

One of the largest Wooly Mammoth remains ever found is 17 feet tall,30 feet long, weighed 10 tons and had 16 foot long tusks.Much larger than a modern day Elephant and prehistoric Mastodons were not much bigger than Elephants are today...fuzzco.com...

Modern humans and Wooly Mammoths definitely co-existed and a small population of Woolly Mammoths survived on St. Paul Island in Alaska until 3,750 bc and another population remained on Wrangel Island in the Arctic Ocean until 1700 bc...

The largest elephant that ever existed > www.environmentalgraffiti.com...

As for the OP, I think that the Russians admitted that this was a hoax. The question was of what nature?

Was it simply a hoax or was it something more complex, dealing with the political situation in Russia? Often "hoaxes" are perpetrated for political reasons. Superstition Psyops are often used in wars and perhaps in distracting from revolutionary situations like we see in Russia now.

I seriously doubt that Mammoths are walking around today. Bigfoot I consider possible, but not anything like that.

jesus people, when it zooms in you can see a clear gap between the BEAR'S mouth and the fish it's holding.

I have not seen it, but I highly doubt Mammoths survived long after the ice age except on a small island where they survived for a few thousand years longer.

I think that the Russian Intelligence Services might have wanted a good psyop during times of political instability. My guess anyhow.
