Hurricane number too much. If the winds pick up, that will be exactly what it is. Hopefully, it will die down, and remain a Tropical Storm.

edition.cnn.com
Tropical Storm Jeanne was headed for the Dominican Republic early Thursday, nearing hurricane strength, according to the National Hurricane Center. After briefly dropping in strength, Jeanne regained intensity with maximum sustained winds at 70 mph.

If the storm's winds reach 74 mph, it will be a minimal Category 1 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale.

The current projection path shows the tropical storm skirting the northern coast of the Dominican Republic later in the day.

Jeanne diagonally crossed Puerto Rico on Wednesday after making landfall near Yabucoa on the island's southeastern coast.

As this hurricane stands right now, it is very doubtful that it will reach land.

70mph winds are nothing compared to what people have seen just weeks before.

Not much other new on this T.S. will keep thread updated.
