What a joke "our" government has become. Obama has been the banker/wall street president since he was elected into office. As far as left/right or whatever it doesn't matter because whoever ultimately gets picked to be the next president will continue business as usual. I don't see that changing short of a large grass roots uprising that deals in boycott and non participation, or bloody revolution. The economy will of course collapse which ever route is chosen (even staying the course), but maybe that's the best thing that can happen in the long run. A new system needs to be implemented, or the existing system must be broken down and rebuilt with greater checks and balances.

I do not wish to embroil you in academic debate, however RP's view is that we should declare war not bypass congress. What part of that do you disagree with?

I don't disagree with any part of that. Actually, that's the only part of his foreign policy I DO agree with.

I don't believe US should close overseas bases or be completely non-interventionist. I don't want US to be the world's police but if asked to intervene I want that option on the table. After all, it could be US that needs intervention one day. I wouldn't like an ally to turn it's back on US if US needed help. Would you?

You seem like an intelligent person and I enjoy reading what you have to say. Would you be willing to discuss this further on another forum? I do not wish to derail your thread. I am always looking for the big picture of things and i'd like to know if you could shed some light on the subject of RP's foreign policy more so that if there are major flaws I can become aware of them.

here is a quick video from yesterday regarding his views for those who are interested.

I'd be glad to further discuss RP's foreign policy with you. I think I've created a few threads on the subject. The most recent and comprehensive is THIS THREAD.

Check it out and we can discuss it there.

They have been acting with impunity for so long they have no fear of consequence.

Much like France in 1789-1799 the aristocrats will pay the price when the peasantry rises up.

That is actually what they are hoping for: As that kind of energy is the energy that can build a durable Fascist Revolution. You have to realize that the majority of people that we call "TPTB", are just useful/expendable idiots.
