Obama's put Nobels invention to good use hasn't he. What a joke the prize has become.

I just noticed you wrote Price instead of Prize.

Priceless

Obama feels that he deserves a second term...I thought the choice wording in the interview was interesting to say the least. Personally I don't think its for him to say what he deserves and does not deserve, as thats for us to decide by giving him a 2nd term.

“I deserve a second term, but we’re not done,” Mr. Obama said in an interview with NBC. “We’ve made progress, and the thing right now is to just make sure we don’t starting turning in a new direction that could throw that progress off.”

GST............ the point.

Maybe the 2 of you will unite one day. Their opinion IMO is as slanted as Obama's commercial. And that's what it was. They didn't even know when the interview happened. Probably caught it on YT. MY point, to make it simpler, is that there are times that political BS, grandstanding, promotion, etc. don't fly. I don't give a damn about daytime TV but if this had been the Daytime Emmy's that this happened to, I'd be pissed for them. Important to some people.

The point has been made very clear several times now... It's not me who needs to unite with the point. You are the one who continues to not get it. But thanks for the laugh.

I will try to simplify it even more, since you struggle to get it.

Their opinion is just as valid as yours.... Get it? When you ask them why they even have an opinion because they are not football fans, it is an attempt to devalue their opinion. An attempt to make it worthless... Their opinion matters as much as yours does. Get it?

Their opinion is not slanted. Neither is yours. Just because you disagree does not make their opinion irrelevant. Quit trying to make it so. Okay?

The point is beyond clear. You asked them why they have an opinion because they are non football fans...In your own words " Are you just trying to tell them to shut up?" That was wrong of you to say. Just as silly as some one telling you to shut up for not being from the US. That's the point.

You downplayed their opinion because they are not football fans... Their opinion matters!!!!! Get it YET?

WHEN they saw the interview does not matter.. At all. It does not change the fact that the interview happened and it does not change what they think of the interview happening when it did. You know this.

Your point is , time and place. I get that. Well, for years the time and place for this Presidential interview is Super Bowl day.

This is nothing new. At all. Presidents get interviewed on Super Bowl Day. Nothing new at all.

The fact is, it DOES fly. It does. Whether you like it or not. And it has flown for years. This is nothing new. Sorry you don't like that it happened, but it did. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Go in the other room and get a snack, turn the channel.

In the end, it's a non-issue. The president was interviewed on Super Bowl Day... That happens. I am sorry that you don't agree with the day it happens, but it happens. Maybe write a letter to the White House and make known your non-satisfaction with the time and place chosen.

Hey, maybe they will listen to you. They sure don't seem to listen to us.

Now, if you STILL don't get it, I don't think I can help you.

Have you read this thread do you just want to argue? Yes presidents have been interviewed on SB Sunday. They don't promote themselves on it openly either. I thought Dubya's comments in 2004 were perfectly OK. He was talking about SPORT. Why not? Even Frank Caliendo has an opinion(I can link a video if you need it). NOT "I deserve another term" crap.

You don't get to decide what another person gets to talk about...sorry.

Obama talked about both politics and the game...he did the same thing the year before. But did it honestly ruin your night?

I just don't understand your outrage...no one forced you to watch it...it wasn't DURING the game...it was before the game. I think there is a bit of over-reaction.

Yes, I have. I have read every post in here. As you know, I read every thread in full before posting. Thanks for your concern.

No,I don't want to argue. At all. In fact, I asked you a similar question a while back, because I am not in the mood to argue. In my question, I said debate. Arguing is for children.

I simply hoped to point out that you were devaluing another members opinion, simply because you speculated ( Incorrectly, I might add) that they were not football fans.

You disagreeing with their opinion does not make their opinion slanted or less important than anyone elses...You should know better. Their opinion counts. Sorry, if you don't like that, but it's the truth.

Bush ALSO talked about politics in his interview. You can call BS on that all you want, but the video is right there... People can see for them selves that he did talk politics. The bottom line is, you just don't like what Obama said.

You don't like what Obama said in HIS interview. We get that. I am willing to bet most of us don't. I don't like what he said either... But the fact is,he said it. He had every right to say it and every right to say it when he did.

It's a non issue.

Ok, ok, sorry. You have to know what the SB means to me. I'll work Christmas before I'd work SB weekend. It didn't ruin my day, it was a good day with my kids. The blatant promotion of the president on this important(to me) day I found extremely offensive. Almost as bad as Madonna.

Unemployment is at it's lowest in 3 years.

After falling in 2009, GDP has steadily grown for the last two years, with last quarter the largest increase in 18 months.

On Friday the Nasdaq closed at it's highest since 2000 and the NYSE closed at it's highest since 2008.

Manufacturing is even seeing some recovery..

U.S. and Manufacturing Employment jumps higher in January.

February 6, 2012 - According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. employment numbers jumped significantly higher in January, with unemployment rate dropping to 8.3%. Nonfarm payrolls grew by 243,000, and manufacturers added 50,000 net new workers. These numbers continue to affirm the rebound and importance of manufacturing to economic recovery. Looking specifically at January 2012 figures, the bulk of new jobs in manufacturing came from durable goods sector, which was up 44,000 for the month.

I have been around long enough to remember when the economic downturn began under Pres. Bush and the far right repeatedly claimed that the economy wasn't in trouble, it was just liberal spin. Those denials and BS continued until it was literally undeniable that the country was in trouble. What I see now is the flip side of that coin...the GOP shouting about pending doom, ignoring a recovering economy and claiming the recovery and all the analysts are just liberal liers

I say to those folks...facts are stubborn things.

We are not out of the woods yet, but are getting slowly, steadily, undeniably better...despite the hopes of failure by the GOP Nominees.

I agree...The same reason I thought Hank Williams should have kept his mouth shut IMO. Let's keep American Past-times non-political.

But..it happend several times before, fox did it when they had the super-bowl and Pres. Bush did a few super-bowl interviews etc. Blame the networks...not the POTUS.

Who does the Bureau of Labor Statistics Work For?
You Really Don't Believe This Bunch of Bull Pucky Do You?

I think these people have a better grasp of the real numbers,,, Real U.S. Unemployment Rate is 15.6 Percent, says the American Enterprise Institute.

According to official figures released by the U.S. government, unemployment rates in the country are hovering around 8.6 percent. However, the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) suggests that a better measure of the real jobless rate -the U-6 - stands at 15.6 percent.

Why You Ask?

According to the AEI, the official rate excludes workers who have decided to drop out of the labor market altogether, either because they are discouraged or for other reasons. This rate also ignores workers who settle for part-time work because they are unable to find a full-time job.

Not To Derail The Thread,,,,, But,,,,Obama,,, You Can Take Your Bogus Unemployment Numbers And Go Back Home,,,,, Where Ever That My Be,,,,,,
Stay Away From Our NFL,,,,,,,,,OH,, When You Leave,,, Please Take Madonna With You

You do know that the U6 also comes from the BLS...right?

And if you want to use the U6...fine...but compare it to the U6 rate when Obama took office...not the U3 rate.

When Obama took office, the U6 rate was at 14.2%. It started it's sharp increas in December 2007 and It climbed to it's highest at 17.2% in October 2009 and has been falling ever since. The current U6 rate is 15.1%.

So the U6 rate paints the same picture as the U3 rate...it was climbing sharply when Obama took office...leveled off within his first year and has been coming down since then.

So use U3 or U6 ( just don't mix the two)...it doesn't matter...it still shows things are improving.

I have to say just by looking at the economy that he does. He hasn't done wonders of course, but the economy is in fact growing. I'd much rather continue on that road rather than hand the reigns back over to those who rode off the cliff.

We all know there are some who desperately want the economy to be as awful as some conservative outlets claim it is, but it's not. There has been slow, but steady job growth for more than 2 years. How could that possibly be bad? Perhaps it takes more than 3 years to fix a problem that was created over 9.

What accomplishments is he referring to, because I cannot think of anything to brag about....hope it is not Usama, I am pretty sure that was staged to keep his approval rating from dipping below Dubya's. I voted for Barry and honestly never want to vote again. But I may just write Ron Paul on my ballot just to ease my own soul. And yes I know it will not count as a vote, BUT when China takes over I can say I at least tried to better America.

No. First off, no one is saying things are "just fine". That would perhaps suit what you're saying, but no one would be that foolish to say that. Things are not fine.
What things actually are, are better than they were in 2008.

Considering what we were staring down a few years ago, I am not totally comfortable with that, but I will accept it as a proper direction.

I don't even know why Obama himself would want a second term.

He failed in almost everything he promised because he was too naive and taught the president actually had power and veto. But no, he's just another puppet for globalist and corporations.

I guess he didn't want the same treatment than JFK, why would he?
I'm still sad that I feel JFK died in vain...I hope this will change with time.

'A year from now, I think people are going to see that we're starting to make some progress. If I don't have this done in three years, then there's going to be a one-term proposition.' --Obama

He said it himself. What progress is there?
