The first thing that popped into my mind is, what evidence is there that the site the published the doctrine is in any way connected to the very top of the Iranian Government? The US Government has made it clear that the internet is a dangerous place. It is full of hackers, spies, fraud and copyright infringement. The Internet needs to be regulated to keep us safe. So how do we know that this doctrine comes from Ayatollah, through a proxy website (of course).

That being said, let us assume for a moment that the report is accurate. Let us assume this is 100% true and this is coming from the Ayatollah himself. It does raise a new question about the right of a Country to defend itself and at what point can a preemptive strike be considered defense?

I think that is a fair question. The US and Israel have openly discussed attacking Iran in order to shut down it's nuclear program and prevent them from ever gaining a nuclear weapon. Many people feel this is a good idea. This idea is a preemptive strike against Iran. You can spin it any way you want, but Iran has attacked no one. Going into the Country and striking Nuclear sites, for the purpose of preventing Iran from getting a weapon is a preemptive strike.

If we simplify this it is the same as if Joe Blow who lives 3 houses down from me is outside everyday threatening to kick in my front door an invade my home. Would I been within my rights to walk out my home while he was making these threats and punch him the mouth? That is literally how I view this. Iran is being threatened daily.

If a person were threatening me daily, I can honestly say that the person already screwed up. He should not have talked about it, he should have just done it. Now that I know his intentions, I wont wait for him to attack me. I will attack him first and take him out. That is human nature... at least that is my nature. I know this because I have been in this situation. I know how I reacted. I know how I would react today. I dare anyone to stand within arms reach of me and tell me that you are going to do me harm. The Nazis had a war plan drawn up well before the Western front for invading France and skirting the Maginot Line by invading the Netherlands and Belgium. Are you honestly denying that the Nazis had world conquest on their minds?

Fair enough. But in times of trouble, people tend to look to more extreme governments as history will show. I dont doubt the hardships bought on by Versalilles facilitated the Nazis rise to power. Hitlers inflamatory speeches early on focused on just that, the unfairness and hardships bought on by Versaillies.

Your comment seems to indicate your doubt that Germany would have acted as an aggressor had the Western powers not declared war against them. I think it is hopelessly naive to think they would have stopped with their gains and become a peaceful country. Perhaps you would have agreed with Neville Chamberlin and given them any and all of their demands? Just curious, would you have advocated war after they attacked Poland?

Unfortunately religious nut cases are not reasonable people, whether zionist or muslim if people are taught (indoctrinated) to beileve "their" god chose them as his favourites you got a problem, and while they believe this the problem exsists. Religion has been about for 2000 years now and from day ONE has been causing wars and suffering. WAKE UP !

I stopped believing in the god nonsense when I was about six yo in a bible class, couldnt then (and to this day still cant) get my head around how a god can have favourites (chosen people).
