BP Is Spending $500 Million To Fix Its Brand And Get Everybody To Forget About Deepwater Horizon.

BP

One of the new things they are doing is the new BP Pump Rewards Program.

BP is even listed as a sponsor at the 2012 Olympics!

BP Olympics

Sorry BP. We will not forget. No matter what you do or what you say. We will not forget. Eleven men are needlessly dead. Oil is still in the Gulf of Mexico, people are sick from the oil and corexit. Dolphins and sea turtles are still washing up dead. The shrimp no longer have eyes.

I saw the sponsor for the Olympics on TV as well as an advertisement for the Gulf on a CNN commercial, showing its beauty and travel accommodations followed by a nice BP oil logo.

What a saucy company.

They have a lot of nerve, I'll give them that....those ads are nauseating. Meanwhile......did you know that BP STILL have not paid people who lost their livelihoods? Yep.....I have friends and family in the seafood business who lost their stores because of no supply and no demand for gulf seafood. If BP does not pay them by the end of the month, they will have to take them to court to get it!!
So next time you see those warm fuzzy commercials, remember the people who lost everything, only to be played by BP.....they don't give a **** about the people.....they just want it to go away because they have more drilling to do in the gulf!
Perhaps BP should take that 500 million bucks they are using on ADS to pay the people whose lives they wrecked!

That wouldn't be cost effective. The advertising campaign will be more effective.

People underestimate the power of modern advertising.

If you hate an advert its made an impression on you and theres a good chance its working on your subconscious in ways you don't recognise.

Companies don't care about right or wrong. None of them. BP is really no different to the rest.
