Most human beings as well as many religious people are strongly devoted to the abolition of evil…provided it's someone else's evil.

Seven billion human being in the world are insisting on fifteen little words that are destroying the entire planet. Those words are: "My way is right. Your way is wrong. And I will kill you (or hate you) for it !!!”

Judgmental criticism is the disapproval of other people---not for having faults---but for having faults which are different than their own.

So do you feel that man-boy love is not worthy of Criticism? I happen to think so, but that's just me. When in the history of mankind has there not been some kind of rulestick for what is appropriate and what is not? Perhaps the definitions change over time, but I think generally some things remain a constant, such as pre-meditated murder. That is why it was one of the 10 Commandments.

I didn't think it would be this easy to find 1 million stupid people.... even in America. It turns out I was wrong.

These are just housewives with nothing better to do than propogate intolerance and ignorance. As a joke JC Penny should write a public statement saying somthing along the lines of "We are happy you were able to leave the house for a short period of time to protest against homesexual representation, but it is time you ladies head back where you belong, to the kitchen".

I don't really hold those views, but I would definetely laugh if such were to happen.

It just bothers me that "gays" aren't protected the same way that non-whites are from discrimination. They should be. Never in a million years would this happen if it were a straight black woman. All the same whether I like the subject or not every American has the right to voice themselves this way, and that should remain untouched. The solution here is to afford people of different sexual orientation the same protections as everyone else, IMHO.

No kidding.

Why is a majority voting on the rights of a minority? Isn't there something in the constitution about this?

Especially since we are a secular nation - - and the #1 objective is religious based.

This is just not right.

Don't make assumptions.

Which part, that women aren't mercenary; that women aren't much good at anything except being sexual objects and producing babies or that Solomon was right when he said he could not find a good woman? Or maybe you are saying you are the exception who would not sleep with even the worst frog for a price? Men die all the time for their principals, can you list me one woman besides Joan of Arch who thought she heard God.

In a free society people can do and beleive whatever they want

A persons bedroom is a private matter then it is a private matter but when people use that to make a buck off as in marketing well people should have a problem with it.

Everyone says that the bedroom is no one elses business but that persons then how about stop slapping everyone in the face with it.

People are free to speak their minds they are also free to agree or disagree with it but anything more than that oh well.

And anyone have a problem with peaceable assembly?

Well you didn't with OWS.

EVERYONE has the right to express their opinion with speech, no matter what it is. No matter what it is there will always be some that want to express their opinion and others that feel they shouldn't because they don't like the others view on the subject. Chill out,,,

They are moms, but who said they are "just housewives"? Oh you did. And what is WRONG with being a "housewife" if you can afford it? Society today has destroyed the image of woman as mother and nurturer, saying instead that a woman must be a CEO of a corporation to be worthy of love and respect. My mother was a "housewife" who volunteered ( remember how the Obamas wanted everyone to volunteer for stuff instead of working for a coporation?) at the local school for handicapped, and at the Kirkwood History House, then later at the Sea Turtle reserve in Hutchinson Island helping save baby sea turtles.

What hate against Ellen she has done nothing wrong whatsoever. Shame on these one million moms for protesting hate towards all gays and lesbians to have equal rights as anyone else.

No one cares because they wouldn't mind watching gays/lesbian get hanged or burned on crosses.

I work in a medical center and everyday i witness very aggressive reactions from people while they watch the Ellen show. Most religious people HATE and i mean they despise the sight of her. Why?

I cant see a million people rallying for a cause that's worth while like our freedom and liberty being taken away, say something like war, say something like child abuse or child molestation.

What in the world is going on? this is somebody's sexual preference it is not all they are. She obviously gives so much to people and is more than a sexual preference. Hell if Oprah liked sex up the back door, would we hate her so aggressively? It makes me so sick.

Ellen Degeneres is a household name in America. She represents a strong number of Americans as a whole. Not just by sexual orientation. I support freedom of speech but there is aline where it becomes bigotry and I don't support that attitude at all.

I hope JC Penny stands by there agreement with Ellen.

Straight Women are wanting equal rights as any man to be successful in business/career yet deny a lesbian woman her career/business freedom descrimating her based on sexuality. To deny a lesbian is to deny a gay.

Just want to reiterate:"One Million Moms/Dads" is the name of the group/project/website..

Again - - they use children as their excuse.

One Million Moms/One Million Dads project One of AFA's (American Family Assc) creations is One Million Moms and One Million Dads, two websites with the goal mobilizing parents to "stop the exploitation of children" by the media. It organizes boycotts and urges activists to send emails to mainstream companies employing advertising, selling products, or advertising on television shows they find offensive. The "One Million" in the titles of the projects appears to be a completely arbitrary number, as it is not based on any actual survey of group members, let alone how many members might be mothers or fathers. en.wikipedia.org...

Labeled a hate group

Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), in a 2005 report, stated that the AFA, along with other groups, engaged in hate speech to "help drive the religious right's anti-gay crusade." Mark Potok of the SPLC determined that the turning point was 2003's Lawrence v. Texas, in which the Supreme Court struck down Texas's anti-sodomy laws. After that, the Christian right spent millions on advertisements, and on pastor briefings organized by activists such as born-again Christian David Lane. Lane helped AFA put constitutional opposite-sex marriage amendments on the ballots of 13 states.

In November 2010, the SPLC changed their listing of AFA from a group that used hate speech to the more serious one of being designated a hate group. Potok said that the AFA's "propagation of known falsehoods and demonizing propaganda" was the basis for the change.

The AFA was greatly displeased with the designation as a hate group, calling the list "slanderous". In response to the SPLC's announcement, some members of the Christian right "call[ed] on Congress to cut off their funding." J. Matt Barber of The Washington Times said that the SPLC was "marginalizing" themselves by giving the AFA the same hate group designation shared by the Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazis. en.wikipedia.org...

I just went to their web page and I was NOT surprised to find that there was no way to leave a comment nor was there a 'contact' link. Given the percentage of people that are gay and/or those that support people who are, I find it difficult that there are enough of these bigots to even have a following.

Here is contact info for AFA: www.afa.net...

They have sponsors at the bottom of their website.Sponsors are always a good place to go - - if you're blocked from any connection access to the website.

I don't really get why people dislike gay people? I mean who cares who she has sex with or falls in love with?

How does that make a person bad?

And to all the bible thumpers, all sins are equal in your God's eyes and all humans sin, so thats not even a valid excuse to hate someone.

I agree.
I'm *stuck* taking care of my 83 yr old Mom right now and she watches Ellen every day and it drives me crazy. But leave the woman alone! Her life is her business and nobody else's. Jeez, haven't we got bigger problems to deal with? (NOT insinuating gay is a problem).

I grew up in a pretty prejudiced area of Chicago and could never understand why guys hated gays so much. More chicks for us!!! Period!! And a lot of those guys are in shape, smart, successful etc and I'm glad they're not my competition.

I'm hetero and 53 and look 35 and I've been in quite a few relationships, married for 6 years and still great friends with my ex. But the majority of my life i've been alone. Kind of an "alone in a crowd" kinda guy. I admire people that have someone in their lives to share it with. Man and woman, man and man, woman and woman it's all good.

Where do these women get off thinking they can define what love is or isn't?

And why do they feel threatened? What the hell is this "gay agenda" they talk about? Like gay people all get together secretly and discuss how they're going turn the world against the straights?

They really need to put down their versions of the bible and chose their battles more wisely.

There's not a million of them. That's just the title of their organization. They're HOPING to get a million moms, but it hasn't happened yet (like the 'million man march' of a few decades ago.)

For a really amusing time, look at their site traffic on Alexa (click here) and then in the box below, compare to ATS. Looks like they get about 10 visitors a day. They had a huge jump when they attacked Ellen, but that was the curiosity factor of news reporters checking them out.
