Have to agree about the T&C. I'm respectful of the T&C here at ATS as well as every forum I frequent. I just think it's a sad state that breastfeeding is considered a form of sexual nudity. It's not the same at all. Until you're stuck in a public place with engorged breasts and a crying baby making it worse you can't possibly understand how truly nonsexual it is. As women we know the difference.

My hubby wouldn't come near me if I was fully loaded and ready to feed. Our baby would smack him down anyway. It's just so sad some people can't see it in the proper perspective.

As far as young girls go I think it would be very beneficial for them to see women using their breasts to nourish a baby, it's what they're for. Instead young girls see breasts all the time in movies/magazines but only in a sexual way. The one comment that hurt me the most back when I was breastfeeding came from a 6 year old girl she said letting my baby suck on my "tit" was gross. Her mom said nothing.

Are you even reading my replies? You asked me where we draw the line. And I replied that it's clearly not at [aforementioned acts]. It's a fact that our society accepts these things but some people cringe at the idea somewhere around the world, from the deepest darkest depths of human savagery...somebody is..showing their BREAST. You compared taking a picture of a turd to one of breastfeeding. Apart from your points being irrational, 1: I don't care. 2: breast are not feces. Do you think that every bodily function is equally disgusting and should not be shared? Do you think bodily functions are limited to taking a s&8* and breastfeeding? Lastly, have you ever been to Youtube? There are enough [non-banned] bodily function videos there to keep you amused for a length of time.

You're doing exactly what you accuse me of, you are comparing breast feeding pictures with other acts of violence, murder etc which have no links to this topic whatsoever... but human bodily functions, such as taking a wizz, throwing up, blowing your nose, sneezing, breast feeding, dumping, farting, eating.. are ALL bodily functions, so my comparision of one bodily function to another is valid, comparing them to rape, murder etc is clearly not.

My point is nothing to do with horror films etc etc, nor should yours be but rather about an acceptable time and place to display such acts... Facebook is not that place.

I'm not going to qualify my answers any more, I've said all I need to say on the matter and qualified my answers in all of my posts.

It's not gross, it's just not appropriate for Facebook, and it would be much more beneficial if someone would create a forum specific tol breastfeeding that they could not all the images and information they wanted. I did find a few right when looking for the oxytocin info.

As far as your take on the young girls, it might be a nice thought.....but believe me I've been online long enough to know the primary reaction those young girls will have to seeing adult women on the site breastfeeding, is not going to be WOW BREASTFEEDING. It's going to be....OH COOL I CAN DO IT TOO, and a couple of clicks with their webcams ..and then.....

Boom, you'll have minors posting topless photos, parents going berserk, it's just not a good thing.

Yes I'm reading yours. Your point is that showing breast is equatable to posting a photo of yourself taking a dump. Which is garbage. You asked me where we will draw the line & I'm explaining the lines society have set. By your standards breast should not be displayed on anything but porn sites? Those standards are not mine. And they are not the standard of the women who were banned.

Once again, you can find just about every bodily function displayed in video on Youtube; including breastfeeding. Youtube is basically on the same playing field as FB yet you are still arguing against this.

Feminism means equality. That is what it means. So its not due to equality but due to TPTB manipulations of humans and this corrupt world.

Also, I don't allow anyone to prevent any woman from nursing but would ensure anyone that did so would be ducking and dodging and moving along, so I suggest everyone else do the same. Thats how you keep your rights. TPTB really need that, in your face, bullhorn if necessary attitude.

That is one of the more bizarre link ups I've seen on this site. And THAT is quite the hurdle.

Zuckerberg is just an androgynous jerk who likes controversy. Have you seen some of the pictures they leave up on Facebook? Right. Jerk.

i'm not saying breastfeeding leads to it. I am saying that young girls seeing adult women freely posting images of them breast feeding on here without being banned Won't see it as Breastfeeding, they will see it as Facebook is now allowing women post images of the Breasts online...so I can too.

There's a hell of alot of people whose boobs I'd rather not see thanks to the problem of the ever expanding waistline, but that said I still think it's a prudish and ridiculous to not allow mothers to breast-feed their kids when the kid is hungry. Most mothers do it in a way that you usually have to look twice to realise what's going on.

Let's not be hypocritical here... if it's ok for women to wear a bikini, go topless at the beach, and wear tiny strapless dresses then it's ok for them to use their boobs for what they were designed for.. or would everyone rather see them wearing Burkas and women taping their boobs down so we aren't subjected to their filthy, vile, seductive, wonderous orbs? *cough* Sorry what were we talking about again?

What does this have to do with anything. You can talk with anyone anywhere on the Internet.

Men who are women, women who are men. Play WOW with a mass murderer. Or talk to schizophrenics. Or ....anything.

It has nothing to do with women posting a picture of something they do for hours and hours a day for months to years on end.

THIS won't make 14 year old girls post their boobs on facebook. And frankly, Facebook would probably be more likely to leave up pictures of the boob flashing 14 year old. They FOUGHT for that nonsense. Think about that. They FOUGHT more protection for children but are happy to save your eyes from the sight of the photo below.
