I think this is media ... if not, please move ...

I've never seen 'fear factor'. It sounds really ignorant. Anyways - twin young ladies were on the show and the stunt they had to do was drink donkey semen and either human or donkey urine. This article says donkey urine but I've read elsewhere that it was human urine. The winner of the show gets some prize ... money .. that kind of thing. Those playing the Fear Factor game didn't know ahead of time that they'd be drinking this stuff, but they signed an agreement that they'd have to eat/drink strange things during the show.

After the show was taped, word about what the girls did leaked out. Everyone freaked. And now NBC is trying to cover the fact that they had these twins drinking donkey semen and urine. Honestly .. it's like it's out of a really bad x-rated movie .... pretty twin girls getting down with the body fluids of a donkey ...

Fear Factor contestants told by NBC to 'shut up' about banned episode

Twins Brynne and Claire Odioso went on the current season of NBC’s popular stunt/dare game show “Fear Factor” and drank a big glass of donkey semen. But it’s not the act itself that the ladies are spewing about. It’s the fact that on Monday night the network pulled the episode – titled “Hee Haw! Hee Haw!” – and replaced it with a rerun after news of the jaw-dropping episode leaked and freaked people out. ...

But not only did the Odioso girls gag, it seems they have now been gag-ordered by NBC to keep their lips sealed about the incident. The twins told reporters that the network scolded them for “revealing too much” and reminded them they are bound by confidentiality agreements.

Seriously America ... THIS is entertainment?? It's pretty damn sick.

.
And NBC .. you should be ashamed of yourselves. I'm sure you aren't .. but you should be.

All of these reality tv shows are so gross and mind dumbing. I only see commercials for them but have never watched any of them either...

MTV used have a show like this when I was in HS. I think they had to pull it because in one episode they shaved a girls hair off then mixed it with a 1lb of butter and made her eat it..she later died..from doing this. Also there was that lady that died from drinking like a case of water on some reality stunt program...sick..what people will do for attention and money..but they get what they deserve for being greedy..and dumb.

Women will do anything to get on TV or in a film. How many do you think have had human semen in their mouth before getting a job? Ever see any of those VH1 'dating' shows?

It's cool guys - Joe Rogan tested out the semen himself and said it was great.

WAIT UP. Only women? I've seen clips from those reality tv shows of men doing some pretty dang stupid things. How about 'stupid people will do anything to get on TV or in a film' ... instead of just 'women'??
When it comes to reality TV shows ... it's pretty well balanced by gender, race, creed, whatever ....

Proves my point. NBC execs who came up with this ... it's like porn ...
twin pretty girls ... animal body fluids .... no wonder they have banned any talk of it!!

Gross. I like some of the stunts, though. The bug-and-other-gross eating stuff I switch channels. I do like the cameltoe shots. Don't see that much on TV anymore.

I personally don't like the show... the show has been around for a while, the contestants may have not been told they'd be offered donkey semen and urine, but they knew that it would be something disgusting, revolting, and downright repugnant. It's what the show is known for, and I don't feel bad for either of them. A million dollars or whatever the prize is these days isn't enough for me to decimate my pride on national television.

Besides if you think that's disturbing, why don't you check out Japanese programming?

When fear factor first came out and was more or less in the concept phase, it was an interesting premise.
Basically, try to accomplish tasks while dealing with common fears (spiders, closed in spaces, etc etc). It was a sort of test of human psychology.

After it started going on, they started going more over the top (eat a bug sort of stuff)...and their initial thought of the human conditions paralyzing fear off of ultimately harmless things became less the focus and more of a lets gross everyone out.

I think, these reality type programs should only last for maybe 2 seasons...anything after that, they lose their sociological interest and start catering towards the nascar crowd
(no offense to nascar fans...should say the steriotypical nascar types..but still...watching people driving cars and turning left has to eventually get boring)

As far as drinking fluids from animals...well, it is a bit disturbing..but then again, we see drinking the lactations from a cows breast to be totally normal...I imagine somewhere in the world, animal seman is considered not off the wall. I cringe at the prospect, but also cringe at the thought of eating a cat.

I have no sympathy for anyone who signs on to this crap.
People are suckers, and willing to do anything for money.
And the same people watch this crap to pay for the networks to show it.
Just look around at every single game show today.
Its all about the money and getting people to act stupid.
The television networks know this and exploit it to the fullest for ratings.
Ratings = More money.

They would probably sell their soul for the right amout of cash.
Just sign on the dotted line.

Pathetic on both ends.
Which is why I don't have cable.

Oh, I apologise...I skimmed over the other point of the thread and thought it was mostly a mindless sort of entertainment thread thing. Didn't realize you attributed this to porn.

I didn't even think that (and I am quite the perv)..so, I guess thats not really true. sort of anti-sexual in my opinion..if it was like human..stuff..then sure, but this is just for the gross factor.

As far as the contestants involved..meh..they dont have to do anything at all..they can simply say no and lose the competition.

If I was said contestant on the show and a million was at stake..I probably would..because there isn't any connotations in my mind about it. If it was human seman however, I probably couldn't, because of the insinuation..but ya, animals...not really much different than eating bulls testicles (which does happen, even in the west. disturbing if you put too much thought into it, so..don't think about it..hell, I love spam..and don't even want to know what is in that meatlike concoction)

They did not have to drink the semen. That was their choice. It is gross, yes, but NBC did not force these girls to do anything that did not want to do. Should they have realized they would offend certain groups but televising girls drinking any kind of semen? Absolutely.

As for the women who died from water. It was not a reality TV show. It was a radio contest she was participating in to win her three children a Nintnedo Wii. I can specifically remember after the incident many people, including myself, having no idea that water poisoning existed.

I used to watch the show pretty regularly, it is pretty darned hilarious! I've said over and over again that I wouldn't do half those things for 100k cash on the spot, much less for just a SHOT at 100k. But they have no problem finding people who will. As far as the semen drinking, I'm actually surprised they pulled the show as the contestants have had to eat testicles, eyeballs, raw meat and animal penises not to mention live roaches, spiders, scorpions, etc. etc. etc. Donkey semen seems pretty run-of-the-mill for that show frankly.

That show had some potential at first, but then it just turned into the backseat of a Jr. High bus, with people trying to out-gross each other. It has nothing to do with "fear" anymore, it is all about shock value. I hope they cancel it.

Walking a tightrope, or a bed of hot coals, or facing some innate fear like lying in a bed of spiders is cool, but just eating gross things and puking is not entertainment.

And, doesn't this violate some bestiality laws?

I never watched this garbage myself but perhaps it should be called "Gross Out or Disgust Factor" that seems more appropriate to what you described.

Just wanted to point out a inconsistancy.
How do you know every single game show today = stupidity as the rule, but have not seen em due to no cable?

Not that I fully disagree (actually, I disagree on some.)

"game" shows I currently enjoy:

Ultimate Gamer: gamers live together, and compete through video games to become top gamer and represent the USA in international gaming conventions. Go team!

Face Off: Newish series where a bunch of special FX artists compete for cash, prizes, and notority by designing various themes and judged by peers of the field (dudes whom worked on underworld, buffy, etc)

Ultimately I like games that require talent to pull them through. I despise the games that require only nerves of steel while being humiliated...that is pointless lulz entertainment.

They were talking about that episode on our morning news the other day, talking about what is going "too far". Every new season, they have to out-gross the last season.

They even went so far as to wonder how they got the donkey sperm
which seemed to gross out the people talking, just as much as the idea of ingesting it.
Disgusting.

Naa, that requires some form of sexual contact. drinking milk is fine, but sucking on a cows nipple may raise some eyebrows
