Mass Suicides at Chinese Factories:

So, you think working under the Chinese Communist system is worse than working under that evil American Free Market system?

Then explain all the suicided going on at the Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd, one of China's largest electronics manufacturing plants. Hon Hai has thirteen manufacturing plants in nine Chinese cities.

These manufacturing plants are so huge that employees actually live in the factory. These manufacturing plants have dormitories and super markets on the walled-in grounds, so that employees can easily work 12 hour days, six days a week.

One Hon Hai plant alone employs 230.000 workers.

Hon Hai also has manufacturing plants in the Czech Republic, Mexico, India and Brazil. But it seems most of the worker suicided are in the Chinese plants.

It all began when Sun Danyong, a 25-year-old male employee, committed suicide in July 2009, protesting working conditions.

Then this past January, 2012, some 150 employees 150 workers in Wuhan threatened to commit mass suicide because of worsening work conditions. The employees had asked for a raise but were told they could either quit with compensation or keep their jobs with no raise. The employees quit, but did not receive their unemployment compensation.

What gives that working conditions in China are so bad that workers want to kill themselves?

Is it that ther are so many Chinese workers that a suicide can be so easily replaced?

If you don't want to live in a dormitory on the manufacturing grounds, you can go homeless?

So, next time you think that working under the Chinese Communist system is so much better than working under the evil American Free Market system....well, think again.

And it looks like the Chinese Communist working system is spreading around the world, to India, Brazil, Europe....and even America?

Is that what you want for America?

It's easy, they feel trapped like slaves....because they are. They have no freedom to choose how to live their lives and there is enormous stress on them to perform at inhumane levels. This is not the natural state of man, so he wants out and chooses to end the suffering. It happens here too.

No,this is not what we want! I would like for our manufacturing jobs
to return to the U.S.I would like for the U.S. to be self-sustaining again.
I would like to tell the global elite to kiss my tail and take their chinese
junk with them.

I don't really recall anyone saying they would rather work in a Chinese factory. In fact in most posts here on anything about china it tends to talk about how bad working conditions are there and how low of pay they get.
And I believe that they're moral code is different from ours a bit. I think that suicide doesn't hold the same taboo as it does here.Least from what I've read (which isn't much on the subject). I'm pretty sure that most of us would agree, we are mad over the way WE are being treated here in the U.S.A
We aren't trying to say that in china they have it better, but rather that we don't want our rights and benefits eroded till we are in the same boat as them.

If you can't find freedom of choice in America....you can't find it anywhere in this particular solar system.

The problem seems to be that if manufacturing jobs do return to America from China, these returning jobs come complete with Chinese Communist style employers continuing Chinese Communist style working conditions....in America.

Much as the Chinese are doing in many African oil rich countries.

When someone votes for a socialist/communist system to be inculcated into the American way of life, that's what you get...;.regardless of what you say you want.

because "China's the Model"-- but because gulags aer quite subjective.
Freedom of choice is the last and worst delusion. Enjoy your melamine

Whatever you say. You are free to do as we tell you to do, you are free to choose between red and blue. You may be more free than the least free....but you do not have true freedom, without enormous sacrifice. I'm not talking about wars or armies either, think about it.

One of these days we will get tired of being shafted by the

It's a common trait among socialist/communists when the story is about the evils of the socialist/communist system, the socialist/communist always tries to turn the story around so that it is the fault of the free market system.

More and more Americans are becoming aware.

Accepting personal resposibilities has become, for some, an enormouse sacrifice.

When in actuality, accepting personal responsibility should be practices and accepted and normal.

Free will means you can say to yourself, "I have NO free will."

Isn't it strange how that happens, how people make choices for themselves?

Ya know, in America...even YOU can become one of the elite....and then you can shaft yourself...or even threaten to commit suicide because YOU don't like the way YOU make YOURSELF behave.

Ain't it great?

The conditions are terrible.

Chinese wokers basically live on site in dorms all year round. They work all the time sending money home to families. They are treated like slaves.
If you don't like it get out the is a queue of people to take your place. Some leave. Some don't want to let their families down and would commit suicide to get a payout for their family from the company. A lot of this has been stopped. The companies wont make anymore payouts if you commit suicide.

You either put up with the horrific conditions or leave.

There are some links in this thread where you can read about some of the working conditions in some factories.

You can decide yourself then if you would keep going or jump off the nearest building. When you see stories like this its very hard to see the point to this planet anymore. Hope is disappearing from this planet very quick. Its getting darker every day.

When I see how terrible it is for others, I am that much more thankful how great it is for my family and myself....and I find the incentive to make life that much better for my family and myself.

It's a Yin and Yang sort of thing.

The difference being...if I were one of the "elite" my moral
upbringing and christian values would prevent me from
shafting myself or others! Suicide is self-murder and is
against G-d's laws!

They are killing themselves to gain sweet, sweet release from the Communist hell hole into which they were so unfortunately born.

In China, they are considered chattel.

Communism is responsible for these deaths...as if Mao shot them himself.

Communism equals death.
