THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BE ALIVE!

What, you want to live in a boring time. Your parents picked your wife. Life dragged on. HELL NO!

Man, you are living in a time of great change! Watch, learn, prepare. Your time to be great cometh!
Even if we all die in mushroom clouds, what a razz! End times? Bring it on man!

Be excited!

Peace
P)

If you had the choice that cypher from the matrix had, "to be plugged back in and remember nothing", you wouldn't want it?

For me, its tempting. Agony is great and all but bliss feels sooooooo good.

I came to the realisation lately that most people spend their whole lives struggling just to convince themselves that life is not worthless.

The whole reason we fill our lives with so much stuff, physical and psychological, is to simply forget that life is crap and then you die.

Let the world end, who cares!?

Once you realise you're already dead, you realise how much of life is just crap, covering more crap, covered in talcum power for your convenience.

"I'm not asking anybody, I'm just telling everybody. We can look for the North Pole, or we can play 'Here we go gathering Nuts in May' with the end part of an ants' nest. It's all the same to me."

Nah - because then there'd be nobody around to let the next generations know.

Besides knowledge is beautiful

Lying in bed, surfing the internet. You don't feel sleepy. Your bored and your current activity seems meaningless. You feel somewhat blue for no reason that you can see. (It's a normal thing for you) Anxiety creeps up behind you, you can feel it.

Well, don't be deceived by false optimism. Life really is pointless. The state is really out to get you and you really do have no fuure to speak of. Even your welfare checks will soon stop, once the Federal Government collapses...then comes the starvations...then the riots... then the death camps. So, forget the happy stories and jokes. You're f**ked.

Spoken like a true realist...
The world needs more of you.

Life just seems to get harder and harder. Challenge after challenge. Hardship after hardship. Disappointment after disappointment. No purpose or meaning. Where is the drive, the passion? Where are you interests and hobbies? Don't have any? Struggling at the moment?

But of course, there are people far worse off than you are...
You will overcome your current hardship...
Things will get better...

Or so we are told by those around us.

Thanks, I feel better getting that off my chest.

Have fun with that mindset.

Ill continue to understand that my energy effects my being, and continue to be positive.

Enjoy being miserable. Tough existence

I'm not going to claim to 'know' that it won't make a difference. But have a look at the hundred million people who have taken your advice in the past. It didn't make a difference then (things still are as they were), so there's a pretty good chance it won't make a difference now.

BTW, thank you OP. What a great thread.

I don't wish unhappiness on any of you personally, but if unhappiness is going to be forced on me it helps to know I'm not alone. It's also refreshing to see a break from the whole naive/optimistic/positive thinking new age movement. What a load of bull-plop.

Happiest is he who has nothing left to lose
For when he gives, he gives everything
Such that nothing may remain
Of what was once his existence.

Into the Great Oblivion I will one day go
Hand-in-hand with this Nothing
Which I claim as my own.

Schadenfreude!
Schadenfreude!

May you extract some great pleasure
From my venture into the unknown.

mwah

very funny title.

well I am living in a void at the moment but I am not sad, nor am I lonely.

negative? hell no!

my advice is to do something really different... commit yourself to something really absurd and then just 'have' to do it...

Do the little birds singing think about those kinds of things?

no...they just sing and get on with it. Even when they have looked all night for a 'friend' that has not come back to the treee...the next day they are singing again... so I think from that...just be and don't get too caught up with all the carp.

existence goes on regardless so you might as well be happy.

the choice is ours.

yes I think that too... especially that so many of my friends and famiily have died. Death and grief really make you quesstion.... wtf is it all for?

then I think...simple is good...just go and be whereever whatever and exist, cos everyone else is and for those people who state that they have done nothing with their lives or have nothing to show for it? htf would you know?

a lady asked me for directions and I did the best I could and directed her but as she walked off, instead of saying 'goodbye' she said 'I love you' and even now I smile when I think back on it.

so there is a person in their everyday life that in a small way has made me smile or given me joy and then I went off in my own life and felt happier.

sometimes the 'nobodiies' or 'non events' have a bigger impact than an individual can imagine.

Don't give up friend.

I know it can be tempting, but do not surrender to anything but the will of the universe, and our destruction is NOT the will of the universe.

All I can say is hang in there, we have a wonderful time ahead of us, peace to you brother.

You know, I have the same thoughts as you. Often I sit and think, "What's the point?"

However, there is a little voice inside of me that says that, eventually, things will turn weird, and that's when people like you and me somehow rise to the occasion and do things that are very important. Believe it!

Love your posts Fission! You seem to be quite an old soul

I understand what you mean OP.
I strive to remain positive -unfortunately life gets in the way. >.<
I'm just terrified of when I die, God will be looking through my 'book' with me, & say "Yeah sorry, just didn't quite cut it this time!- Back you go for another round"!!! (Me screaming *NNNoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!)
So yeah, do your best every day while you're here! I try & see it all as a challenge (the competitor in me responds to that!
Having said that ,I was VERY challenged today & I don't think I got too many 'ticks' in my book! (poo!!! >.
