Yes, Do You Believe That?
I mean Obama is telling this woman, Her Husband Should Be Employed in His Job Field,,,, Obama being Told There Are Jobs To Be Had Very Easily,,, He Believes This.
Here read for yourself.

During his Google+ hangout Pres. Obama tells a woman that her husband shouldn't be unemployed from the growth he has seen in the economy. Obama said he finds it "interesting" because he is getting "the word" that someone in her husband's job field "should be able to find something right away."

Who's Giving Obama The Word

YEA,,, Obama Just Hanging Out and Talking With Out His Prompters?

Unlike with the Twitter townhall last July, Obama will answer live questions rather than just a preselected bunch. Google will choose certain questions submitted via YouTube while people can also comment and interact on Google Plus.

OK, OK, The Key Words Phrase Here, Google will choose certain questions submitted via YouTube

Dear guohua,

Nice to meet you. Not long ago there was a article in mainstream financial media that said that losing jobs and being more efficient was a good thing. We don't matter to them, it is all our fault as they see it and useless eaters should not be fed. I support a couple of homeless people, heck, they live with me so I guess they are not homeless anymore. One is dedicating his life to feeding those who haven't found a place and I get the pleasure of paying for him to live here. Would they take jobs if they could find them, yep, in a second; but, there are not many jobs.

Our "leaders" don't represent us and don't care about us because we vote for them when they promise they will give us a cookie, make things better for the group that we belong to. We have to start voting for integrity rather than personal benefit or we get what we have. Peace.

I think the real point here is why are we giving out work visa's for companies to hire from outside the US instead of hiring our own people first. His answer was not so bad but his hesitation and pretending at first he did not get the question fully is the problem. He is again showing how out of touch a lifelong academic with no practical experience is. What he knows comes from others he has surrounded himself with who are the same as he is, viewing the country from the outside, looking in.

His life was spent earning his way via political favors and working as an Organizer; a meaningless unnecessary job to suck tax dollars. We get rid of all the so called community organizers tomorrow, nobody will care or notice. We get rid of the Engineers or even the dishwashers or auto mechanics, we suffer for not having them.

Community Organizing can be described as a confidence game without lying I believe. With his only other experience being a State Elected position where he voted Present to nearly every vote, when he gets a real question, he has no idea how to deal with it. So what he does is make it sound like hey, if you shut up I'll get Hubby a job with one of my Crones.

Dear guohua,

If we wait for the government to help us, we have already lost. We need to convince everyone that people matter, we need to make the center of our thoughts that people matter. Peace my friend.

No Mr. President. What is "INTERESTING" is that you don't think your policies are failing. And now, you basically said there was some sort of conspiracy preventing that women's husband from getting a job?! Is obama a conspiracy theorist??

Well, he did say he was born in a manger.
So I guess that would make him a birther.

Obama has spoke the rhetoric for so long, that he has lost touch with reality.

Blaine91555, That Is A Great Point You've Made!
Actually and I'm Sure You and Many Other Here Will Agree With Us,,,,,,, We Can Do Away With Politicians Too

What A Bunch of Self Serving Blood Suckers.
The very reasons we have the Work Visa's being issued is to appease a Big Donor and Lobbyist.
They should be saying,,, No,,,,,, We Have Americans that need those jobs, Americans First.
Yes, you can hire the Mom and Dad and build a Daycare on site,,, Hire some Caring, trained and American Day Care Workers, and but Mom and Dad to work, the same shift and CARE About Them and Their Families and They'd Be Your Employees For Life.
That's Just My thoughts.

There are hundreds of thousands of county/State jobs where the Baby Boomers have been sitting in those jobs 30-40 years. They can retire right now, but they won't.

If America applied Chicago politics to those people......tell them to retire "or else".....so others can get those jobs.....

We'd see hundreds of thousands of new jobs open tomorrow.

Chicago politics need to be applied nationally to force those Baby Boomers to retire......start with breaking their legs??
Is that how they do it in Chicago??

Yes, even though, Obama has "promised" to look at that lady's husband's resume, I bet it was campaign rhetoric. I hope she definitely calls him out if he doesn't follow through!!!

If he does, well, he can now say he created ONE Single job

I think its the illegals that are more of a problem as that was the topic at hand. We need seniors to stay at the companies because they aren't getting any help from either Obamacare or Social Security. Both of those programs only helps the gov't and not people! SS is dead as we know it. It's pretty much unfixable. Seniors cannot afford to be forced to quit their jobs without a safety net as liberals like to say.

And seniors are usually pretty in tune with the company. They deserve to stay til death if they have been loyal to a particular company for years!

How heartless are you?

Obama has created a shovel ready job.

Scooping the poop that has poured from his mouth.

As an aside, how's that hope and change working for everyone? As Reagan once said, you have to ask yourself, am I better off now than I was 4 years ago?

Before I respond, just want to be VERY clear-
I DO NOT SUPPORT OBAMA.
I have NEVER
EVER
supported him in any way shape or form.

That said,
I find his response perfectly appropriate, and reasonable.
My dad is a chemical engineer who worked for GE for 25 years- starting in Nuclear, then was promoted into upper management roles, and eventually became COO of one of their divisions. He has since gone into alternative energy companies (i.e. solar, wind, etc)

My point is that I'm VERY familiar with the job market regarding engineers, and what he said is accurate.
It really depends on the engineering SPECIALTY.
And the fact that he offered to help her husband out specifically surprised me (in a good way).

I don't think Obama is a bad person,
just a bad president/politician.

***ETA***
Besides,
it's not the government's job to do OUR JOBS for us!
I think her point about the Visa's is important-
but he answered that,
and I'm satisfied with his answer- granted it is true and accurate- that they only approve the Visa's when a company tells them they cannot find Americans who are qualified.

Semiconductor engineer, wow that is very specialized field in these times; not so much during the 80's and 90's though. Most or all of those engineering jobs left the USA in the mid to later half of the 90's to Asian countries along with the manufacturing equipment. Defense work would be his best bet in that field or a national lab. The fact is with any engineering job today in the USA don't expect to be employed long, Most engineers are contracted these days for specific projects. engineering jobs today are mostly DOD work that may last maybe to 5-7 years or when the contract is up ( And that is long term in the engineering field today.) R&D has even moved overseas for may US based companies.

The U.S. keeps loosing It's manufacturing base to other countries and along with it the engineering jobs that used to be here in the U.S. The hardest hit field in engineering is the Semi-conductors field. It's a revolving door for engineers these days, it has been for the last several years. The last big layoff for engineers was at the end of the Carter administration. There were tens of thousands of engineers out of work, even defense work. California was a manufacturing mecca for engineers in defense, aviation, electronics, etc. Then Carter was elected, and the U.S. lost millions of jobs. It's happing again on a much larger scale, but with a diminished U.S. manufacturing base to boot. I swear I'm living in the Carter era again, disco sucked.

This past summer GE was hiring 200 engineers in bowling green KY for their appliance plant for R&D and mechanical. The contract was for a year or two I think. The manufacturing of those appliances would be in China. That was the last big hire I heard of in The U.S. if you want to call that in the engineering field. Lockheed is laying off again, so Lockheed engineers are moving over to Boeing, but that contract is not that long either. The competition if fierce for any engineering job opening these days.

A friend of mine has PHD in the new environmental energy field and is unemployed as well. Obama's new environmental energy jobs has never panned out either. The jobs in this field are little to none at all.
Obama does not have a plan for jobs, but then again it's not the governments job to create jobs, it's only to over regulate them.

The Trends I've been seeing. ( A good example for Engineering fields)

Their is a large bearing manufacture with a HQ based in the U.S. they had several plants up and down the east coast and southern states. This company manufactures the bearing Hubs for GM maybe Ford too. Anyway they closed 6 of the seven plants and put something like 4,000 workers on the unemployment line. They kept one plant open in one of the southern states for R&D and some very specific product manufacturing just so they can still keep there reputation made in the USA as most people have come to know them for. What some people don't know is that bearing Hub your new GM truck or car is riding on maybe made in the USA or China. 20 percent of their products are made in the USA the other 80 percent are manufactured in China now.

The Same goes for Congress and the Senate. There was a congressman this past year whom retired at 92 . He's been there since the late 50's. I believe they should serve 4 years tops then go home. The world is not like the 1950's or 60's anymore, but most members of congress think so. It's like The U.S. is stuck in some sort of time warp. I don't want to relive the Nixon and Carter era again and again.

I'm not a baby boomer, just a litter after that. but again they cant retire because Wall Street took all there 401K retirement funds, and before that is was Enron the list goes on and on. The problem is with most of these congressional members and the senate being there 30-40 years. it;s time for the younger generation to take there seats in Congress and the Senate. This country is in so much need of new prespective
