While our current temperatures likely ARE increasing, and have been for the last 20,000 years or so, we are still well below the average temperature of the Earth for most of it's lifetime, and in fact the current average temperatures - even though they are on the rise - are STILL the lowest that they have been in 450 million years, .

There's no doubt climate science gets a big boost out of the global warming thing, like a lot of science these days it's influenced by the money. Have we impacted the climate? more than likely. Is it causing a greenhouse effect that is shifting the balance? I don't know.
I know this though, we have bigger problems than excess carbon.
It's just really F%$%^N sad. I mean what are we going to do? stabalise the climate? So we can live on toxic planet with nice moderate weather? arrrrrrggggh!

Makes you wonder why Mr. Gore would always refuse to debate this issue... The guy is a joke. He couldn't even come up with a good scheme to get into our wallets just bunch of lies. He is such a hypocrite. When his daughter got married a few years ago he flew to the wedding in his private jet and had them serve chilean sea bass for dinner. Chilean sea bass were endangered and are still threatened. If hes so "GREEN" he wouldn't even think about eating one of these. Never heard of ol Al producing anything more than lies. What exactly is he good for anyway?

The arrogance of humans never ceases to amaze me. You tiny little insignificant people are not making any impact on the entire globe.
The arrogance of humans never ceases to amaze me. Thinking 7 billion(!) people with all their consumption wouldn't make any dent in the global environment!

I'm with you chrismir. Seems to me only an idiot would believe we aren't possibly doing something to change to natural earth cycles with our billions of motorized vehicles pumping vapors into the air unnaturally.

The thing is that while you might think that our motor cars etc have a big effect on the planet, you don't actually
realise how tiny we are.
It's like claiming that the farts from the fleas on a dogs back can kill the dog.
Is there any excessive O2 production? If there isn't any we don't have any reason to worry.

people ought to worry more about the oxygen production, because of the fires.
