White Light OUTSIDE My Door

I didn't witness this, but my brother did last night....

He was at home sitting on my couch with some friends when all of a sudden they heard a really loud exploding sound. Everyone heard it, including my mom who was several rooms away.

The sound was IMMEDIATELY followed by a bright white light which appeared to hit the ground and then spread out in about 1 second then disappear. The light was so bright that it completely filled all the doors through which my brother and his friends saw this happen (the doors are made of glass, see pic below. There are also three sets of doors, 6 total, which are about a total of 18 feet wide).

After this happened my brother and his friends went outside and saw no sign of ANYTHING. There was no issue with a transformer, and even if there was, this literally all took place about 3 feet outside our doors.

The whole event lasted about 3-4 seconds from the sound to the light. If anyone else has seen or heard of anything else like this happening please let me know. I'm very curious. Thanks for any help.

**So in the picture below you can only see two of the doors (making 1 set of doors). There are curtains you can see on the left, and then two more doors next to that. There are also curtains to the right of the doors in the photo, with two doors next to those curtains. All made of glass. The light spread out across all of these....

I should also mention that this whole event was crazy enough that when I happened to come home and knock on the door only a minute later they were all freaked out....

Nope. No light bulbs outside, no signs of broken glass or anything. And like I said, this light was SO bright and spread out across 18 feet of glass doors and AT LEAST 8 feet up, or as high as my brother could see it go...

Is there anyway I can attach the image? It's not THAT important to the thread, I just wanted to give you an idea of where it happened...

Other than that, I really don't know what to make of this. It doesn't sound like the generic UFO activity, but neither does it seem quite normal...did you check the area? Go scouting for wreckage or any hint of disturbance in the vicinity?

It had to have come from the side the doors were facing, otherwise the light would never have touched them. Perhaps that would be the direction to start.

How do you know that? You were INSIDE and the door was closed...how would you know how the source of the light moved and disappeared?

The doors are glass, I believe I mentioned that. I'll try and upload a photo...

No one has seen anything like this? I'm thinking it may have been some type of orb or something, directly outside my door, right above the ground. I hope not, but I can't think of any other explanations really. My mom and brother have had other sightings of unidentified craft in the area as well...

lol I don't have x box i am more of a ps3 kinda guy but I do have the head massage thingy.... nice

No clue what that has to do with anything the OP said but oh well....

Have you asked what happened since it happened? You say you came home and they were freaking out, maybe you checked up the next day?

Well I live here also. No signs of anything outside. Nothing at all.

I talked to my mom about it also, she said right after the loud noise she heard something hit her window, but she was in a different room.

My brother and his friends were the only people who saw this really bright light for a second or two, directly outside, just above the ground. He actually went outside about a minute after it happened even and saw absolutely nothing there...

I've attached another photo so you can see a better view of what it looked like. He saw the light in the middle set of doors, and it spread outwards left and right. Basically, imagine the flash from my camera, but a little lower, and that getting REALLLY bright in about a split second then disappearing...

Yes in fact I have had a similar experience. First let me premiss this by saying I do not believe in ghosts personally but this event was extremely odd and I have no explanations as to what occurred.

When I was 15 years old my Aunt Uncle and myself were sitting in my living room around 12:00 at night talking about my recently deceased Uncle Nicky. He had finally succumbed to a long battle with bone cancer at the age of 17.

Out of nowere right in the middle of the living room an EXTREMELY bright ball of light appeared and lingered mid air for around a second and then just disappeared with a sort of air sucking sound. We all jumped up alarmed and looked at each other saying WTF was that!
I to this day have no idea what could have caused this event and personally I think perhaps it was some natural abnormality of energy not yet understood or explained. But really, who knows.

Could have been lightning.....or maybe that big solar flare that just hit earth caused some kind of energy discharge from the ground which created the light?

I would say some type of firecracker...happened one time at my parents house a neighbor through one over his fence into our backyard...very dangerous if you ask me...

Any other info you can provide might help to shed some light on what happened. Were there any smells associated with this event?
