The Mysterious Death of Marilyn Monroe

I am a conspiracy theorist by nature. All the other people you mentioned, I agree are suspicious. However, in the case of Monroe, there was no significant motive for anyone to murder her. She was smart enough not to talk about matters, whether Mob related or JFK related. She had never once in her life said anything that would have caused embarrassment to those who were rich and or powerful.
She was heavily drug addicted. Drugs damage the colon.
She suffered from severe stage fright, often causing delays in shooting. She also was very ill during her later movies. Not surprising considering her drug abuse.
Another Amy Winehouse.
Peter Lawford is a strange character. His mother dressed him as a girl until he was 12.
Accidental overdose is my guess.
J Edgar Hoover bugged her, but this was probably more due to his love of illegal snooping, than a desire to kill her.
Now Inger Stevens, I believe she was murdered. But not by anyone discussed here.

That isn't all that unusual...not for someone of his class and breeding...it was traditional for boys to wear pink and girls blue (because blue is the colour of Mary and it was thought to bring them closer to her), and for both to wear dresses until they were sent off to school.

In my original post on this thread I said that I thought Marilyn's death was accidental..now I am not so sure.

Earlier today I got curious if there was any information about what Marilyn did on her last day...in searching for that info. I came across a (supposed) picture of her dead body...to me the picture looked like...a look-a-like.

So then I thought... what if the Kennedy brothers helped Marilyn to fake her own death. I found a 2009 article that several people saw her on a remote island in Hawaii with 2 body guards.

Please read the entire article...it is interesting. I am such a Marilyn fan...wouldn't it be great if this is true!

I read the article and was thinking - this could be credible. My reason is that even though both the Kennedy brothers were womanisers look at their political stance - they tried to rise above the warmongering. Killing a woman they loved and loved to be with - I am actually going hmmm...

If she did pull her faked death off over all these years - or was forced and protected into staying out of sight - then I hope she was comfortable and happy and had some companions with which to share a laugh and all the other stuff we humans love to share.

I have a front-page from sometime in the 80s (I'd have to dig it out for exact details) from the Daily Sport (remember that 'quality' newspaper? Haha), that reads 'Marilyn is alive and working as a nanny for aliens'....front page cover and all.

I've seen her autopsy report and photos, which unfortuately do seem, to my eye, to be Marilyn. It'd be nice to think that she had survived, but I don't think the Kennedy's would have helped her either way, they'd got out of her all they wanted, though aliens might've

I have had a look on the internet for any post mortem photographs of Marilyn Monroe and I could only find one black and white photograph. The photograph is from the side and to me is not conclusive. There is one other photograph that shows a morgue cubicle with the door open and all that is visible are feet - the caption states that it is Marilyns toe tag. It could be anyone.

Also interesting is that her funeral service was invite only and very secure - lots of control - even well know celebrities were not permitted inside when they turned up - this reeks of cover up.

So much mystery and so many questions. If she is alive I just hope she does not read about herself or she might end up dying of laughter.

That is an odd one, because it was Joe DiMaggio that organised and controlled the funeral. I think he genuinely loved her, but was incredibly possessive and found it difficult to share her, he was allegedly abusive to her at times. They remained close right up to her death, and she had a firm friendship with his son. DiMaggio hated Hollywood and saw them as responsible for the marriage failing, and saw many of those around her as hangers on. He was executor of her estate, so he got to decide how she was buried, but many of her friends, such as the parasitic Strasbergs were excluded. Up until his own death, he ensured that her 'grave' was furnished with fresh roses every week, and I believe that since his death someone else has taken that over, so she still gets roses, but I don't know from whom.

Skepticism is always a good thing as well and It's desperately needed especially in cases such as this one. I've taken what you said on board as well, as they were very valid points to make, and I hope others who may decide to look into this case in the future choose to do the same.

The research I did, albeit rather quickly, did not say anything about Joe Dimaggio arranging the funeral. The single post mortem photograph and only from a side angle is really not enough to make a firm decision. There is a site with only morgue photographs of well known people. They all pretty much resemble the person as in life and that is because the angle of the photograph was revealing most of their face.

The fact that Joe Dimaggio had a standing order for regular rose deliveries is well known and I don't think anyone disputes that but the funeral just reeks of cover up. The cover up could be from the people who arranged her death or it could be from the people who arranged for her faked death.

There is a saying - beauty is pain and her beauty just ends up representing unhappiness and pain. There is also the theory that Marilyn was bred by the illuminati/cabal/whatever just as Princess Diana was bred purely to provide heirs. When you dig deep enough you start to realise how much control there is when it comes to the illuminati/cabal/whatever.

Knew this was you RA as soon as I saw the title. The usual kudos for a job well done S&F. My thoughts would be that Mr. Lawton was more involved than it would seem. He is seen several times in interesting company at rather odd times.

I believe they initially met through Patricia Kennedy, sister of the Kennedy brothers and wife of friend and fellow actor Peter Lawford. Peter befriended Monroe and was known to introduce her to many of his well known friends, which now included Kennedy, as a way of improving his own status.

This statement really struck a note with me. He was interested in improving his status, I imagine even with the Kennedys.He was married into the family and perhaps had some future aspirations. Hooking Jack up with her would seem to be a feather in the cap. If he had future ambitions then helping eliminate the problem that he had caused would maybe repair the possible rift that he had created.

I feel that these women were murdered to keep them quiet with Marilyn and Mary Meyers being the most dangerous. They had written information that would be very damaging to the Kennedy boys if it ever got out.

I think this was a hit, maybe not in the traditional sense, But a hit none the less. The lack of evidence regarding the pills is quite suspicious. The apparent damage to the colon is very suspicious. The evident brusing of the body is odd. bodies don't bruse after death because there is no circulation. So clearly those occured while she was still alive. Perhaps a struggle because she knew what was happening and didn't want to die.

I feel that most of the evidence points to murder. There are far too many inconsistancies here to indicate suicide. Sounds like the scramble to coverup a poorly planned hit to me.

In 2012, yes this year, her grave will be emptied, the lease or whatever it's called was only for 50 years. Wonder what they are going to do with the remains (if any)....

No matter who you are, if no-one pays for the upkeep of your grave, the old have to make way for the new...I am surprised that her estate haven't updated the lease...but there you go.

Could you post a link to the picture that you have seen, in the ones I have she doesn't look well at all. Her hair is all greasy and tangled, her skin mottled and blotchy. You can clearly see it is her, her nose and hair line in particular give her away...but she doesn't look 'quite well', a shadow of herself would be more fitting.

Beauty is a gift, and can be a great healer if given freely, and Monroe's legacy, the work she did in children's homes, much like Diana, she gave of herself without question and hugged and kissed those who needed it most. I've tried to find a transcript of his will...and I can buy it on e-bay for $7.50...deary me...the other site which claims to have a full transcript crashed my browser...so I shall take your word for it. I know that the roses stopped when he died, or possibly when his son did...do you know who the trustees of the will are now?

It makes sense to me that she was probably surrounded by hostile forces - even the housekeeper raises my eyebrow.

It seems like what happened to me is she got upset, so Bobby and the crew went over.. It makes sense ot me that she died in the guesthouse while they searched her room and got the diary. Probably the mob did that. They'd want it for leverage.

The Bobby and Peter went over and put her in the bedroom and staged the scene. (to try to take the heat off the frame up of Bobby.)

I read somewhere - Cryptome - that someone said it was a nicotine overdose delivered via enema that killed her. They said she took enemas every night and so it was planted in the bag.

I read a book when I was a kid that had autopsy photos. She was really, really discolored.
