Felt like using up the Italian bread I had made the other day. So made this

It is reallllly good. I didn't think I'd like it so much. I have such a small appetite but I ate this damn thing like it was nothing.

The directions and measurements won't be all that accurate since I dont really know the exact amount since I made it as I went lol. These are always the best recipes! The ones I come up with out of nowhere and boredom

Mblah's Steak Sandwich with blue cheese/pamesan sauce

Ingredients

**Measurements will be a little out of the norm lol I made this as I went along so I didn't really measure.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 LB-ish beef strips
teaspoon-ish minced garlic
1 tsp of each chopped basil and Italian parsley, both fresh preferably
thinly sliced onion (as much onion as you want) I sliced about a quarter of an onion
1 small handful of sliced mushrooms (can or fresh)
Worchestire Sauce
3 big scoops of cream of mushroom soup
milk
beef broth
Grated parmesan cheese
fresh blue cheese
Shredded mozzarella
diced tomato
Nice crusty loaf of Italian Bread (I used a left over half a loaf I made the other day)

Directions
**cook on medium heat

Drizzle enough evoo in med size skillet pan and add beef tips, onion, mushroom, Worchestire sauce (1 tbs-ish), beef broth (about 2 tbs) and garlic. Sautee a few minutes. Add beef, herbs, soup, a little milk and about 1/4 cup of beef broth and about 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese. Add S/P per whatever amount you prefer.

Cook on low and cover til slightly thickened. Add more milk if it's too thick or you can add more beef broth. If it isn't thick enough add a little more cream of mushroom soup or some flour. This part is just trial and error on flavor
Cook til the consistency of alfredo sauce in thickness.

Preheat oven to 400F

Take a piece of foil and put the bread on top of the foil. Add beef tips then spoon enough sauce on top (save some) with the mushrooms and onions. Sprinkle with crumbled blue cheese and a little shredded mozzarella. Bake in over on foil with the sides folded in a cup, it's messy.
Bake til cheese has melted and bread is toasted. About 10 mins but it varies depending on the kind of bread you are using and how thick it is, same with the size so just watch and don't burn it

Once it's done take it out of the oven and top with the remaining sauce from the pan and shredded mozzarella then top with diced tomatoes and salt/pepper.

This came out sooooo good! The sauce it really good. I will have to make it again and measure, it would be really good on a steak by itself.

This is also very messy
enjoy!

Pot pies are that bad! If you have and toast or bread cook the pot pie then take the insides out and put it on bread then toast it. It's good
I use to do that with left over filling when I'd make pot pies. I always have left over filling. lol.

I messed up my breakfast believe it or not lol. I ruined waffles! How is that possible?! I have not used my waffle maker before I think it was too hot, not sure. I will have to look for the heating instructions online. I was so hungry by the time I made this sandwich I ate more than half of it and it is huge! I'll reheat the rest later

You pick food by looks? Jude much huh?

Are you also one of those who also picks people by looks? If so, sorry you can't see past looks.

How do you expect something like this to look? Maybe you should start trying the "ugly" foods.. Food shouldn't be made pretty to attract people, it's flavor should..

thanks and I'm glad you like it. It's really good and messy lol I had to use a towel, not a napkin but it was good. I like my subs to be messy! My favorite sub is a meatball sub, this is probably at the top now. I'm gonna experiment with different types of steak and then some chicken with bacon sort of like a chicken cordon blue

I wish I could send food. I tease my fiancee someone needs to make teleportation available. It would make many peoples lives and eating habits better. LOL. I'd be sending food all over! I like to share what I make so I always take it to friends or family. I have a few friends who ask me to make them certain dishes and they buy the ingredients..

Mmm yea a soup would have been great with that. I want to make a french onion soup this weekend with some french bread and not sure what for a main course though.

Sounds like a good dinner there mamabeth! I had a little fruit with my sandwich
and then the doritos of course hehe.

Hehehe...

I think I balance the weight with all the bread and pasta kneading lol It feels like I went to the gym and lifted weights all day after I'm done.
