As we can see the SCOTUS at the time set the precedent by allwing the resistance of the subpoena by allowing the the POTUS to use his own conscience to make the decision.

Written at a time when it was assumed the POTUS would actually have a conscience!

if he wants on the ballot he will likely, send to the court for an extension.

Or he will be stricken from the vote and have thrown his first state to the dems. No big deal.

Its only going to be more black panthers and election fruad through the next hatch of acorns.

What ballot? He's the only democrat running, there is no democratic primary. It's a publicity stunt, and nothing will come of this, just as nothing has come from the numerous other laughable court cases. You can all name call, and hurl insults, but you know it as well as I - this means nothing, and won't affect anything. If I'm wrong, then I'll admit that this president was nothing but Kenyan born, communist, anti-Christ demon from hell But even if that prior statement was true, NOTHING WOULD COME OF THIS. You can hope, pray, and wish, but we should all know by now that this is nothing but distraction. But, if I could wager on this, I'd bet this Case goes the same way all those birther cases went - nowhere.

So, what it comes down to is, Obama is not constitutionally required to appear before a state court. This is a Georgia State Judge, if I am correct. He WOULD be required to appear before a Federal Judiciary, however, according to the first article I cited. But since this is a judge of the state of Georgia, there is already legal precedent that says the President is not required to appear before a state judge.

If Obama has to appear in court, then he should do it, even if it is something as stupid as this birther nonsense, and even if the people who get proven wrong still cling to this idiotic conspiracy theory.

He probably will whenever the extension is for. Its merely a change in the election route for 1 day.

He can always say the records dont exist anymore. Lost em all in a horrific boating accident.

Do you feel the same way about Bush as well? I did and I was one of those who were hoping that he and Cheney would be dragged to the Hague to face charges. Never happened. Canada threatened it. Never happened.

Once we all accept that TPTB is not going to let anything bad happen to their puppets, we can see the bigger picture for what it is.

This story is nothing but symbolic because the outcome will not be much different.
