Severe Weather Alert For Tonight 1/22/12 USA!

New warning jut north of Little Rock

We have another line moving in now from the west.

The largest and strongest looking line is coming into Little Rock just now.


I must say, there is nothing like a good thunder storm while you are in a tent.

My radio is blaring away alerts.

My county, Garland has just issued another sever thunderstorm Warning.

Also, our temps in the past half hour have risen by 7 degrees.

7f in a half hour not good. The storms moving into your area now are the ones that have me worried they are more cellular and not of a squall type.

Edit to add the one west of hot springs is showing some slight wind shear

The temp rises as the storm approaches,kind of like compacting the warm air forcing it northward,then the storm hits and it gets colder.

Another alert for a cell with the potential of a tornado, 18 miles east of Arkadelphia heading towards the Enola area.

Do you have a safe place to seek shelter?

Still alot of thunder west of here.

Just a little rain now and not much wind.

Lightning still lights up my place even with the lights on.

Yes, no worries, there is my car, also a cement building, a bath house not to far.

In the ten months on the road, I have been in some real ferocious weather.

I don't travel without my weather alert radio and set it up for each location I'm in.
I was in hail last spring in North Carolina and some mean storms in Kansas last spring.

We also had some real heavy storms here in November. As well as daily thunderstorms in Utah late summer.

I keep my eye to the sky and my ear to the ground.

Here we go,a play by play update.

Showers and thunderstorms will likely develop early this evening along and/or east of the I-30/US-67 corridor, then quickly race northeast. This map shows the best-guess timing for when areas could be affected by thunderstorms. Areas in brown will have the least potential for thunderstorm development as a cold front surges east before organized thunderstorm development gets underway. Some scattered showers, and an isolated thunderstorm could still be seen. However, the best chances for thunderstorms and any severe weather will be east of the area shaded in brown.

Looks like my area is good to go for now.

Most of the thunder, is south east of me.

The atmosphere has that real agitated feel to it. If it was still headed my way, I would be a bit concerned.
