Over the past few years the UFO reports and sightings have gone through the roof with more and more people videoing them and putting them online. Now we have the Russians claiming that they have found life on Venus.

NASA have and are still saying that we are alone in the universe but mathematics state otherwise.

Anyway do you think that 2012 will be the year someone comes out with proof of life on another planet, it does not matter if its intelligent life or just bacteria life is life.

What are your thoughts?

Doubt it. Why would anything be disclosed now when the governments of all the major countries have covered up the existence of extra-terrestrial life for decades. The only way information would be 'disclosed' or slip through the net would down to the lack of security. It only takes one person working in these secret bases and buildings to slip information through. Saying that government security systems are extremely good. The only way we would ever be able to confirm or deny alien existence would be for an alien aircraft to crash in a major city.

Aliens nor jesus are coming to save us, we better start to save ourselves!

Not really the Russians but a Russian , Leonid Ksanfomaliti to be precise , a guy who also believes ET reordered the Planets in the Solar System so as we could evolve

Probably not this year as we have nothing specifically looking for life on other planets at the moment , even Curiosity rover due to land on Mars August 6 this year is only looking for evidence for Mars being an environment able to support life .
I believe we will find life on Mars and other planets and Moons in our Solar System but we still have a long wait ahead for official confirmation .

As for Disclosure of ET visitation .... Don't hold your breath

There's only two ways about this now if you ask me. Either A) It's gonna all boil up and explode into an Alien Invasion (Real/Fake/Peaceful/Violent on December 21st 2012 or B) We're never gonna find out (It's well over 60 years since Roswell)!

I just cant see any official government announcement been floated about to the world after all these year's of mysteries and UFO sightings. We've come too far for all of that for the powers of the world to just look stupid.

There's clearly a plan in place by shadow governments that far exceed even Obama's authority. It's simply too obvious to the open-minded (like myself) that we've all been conditioned by the thought of aliens and other beings. All the films, sightings, stories, books, etc is testament to that fact. Our technology has rapidly evolved since around the end of WW2 and the signs are there in plain sight for all to see.

I think we are slowly being conditioned for sure
Wether it will be full discloser this year or not I'm not so sure
With the discovery of other Earth like planets in habitable zones
becoming more frequent, along with other developments like you
have mentioned it will come soon enough.

I remember when I was 13, I watched a news report about how most stars
are suns with their own solar systems. The next day I went to school and
stood infront of the class to give everyone the story and I was laughed at.
Nobody belived me back then but nearly 30 years later it's common knowledge.

My children will grow up with the common knowledge that live exists outside
our own atmosphere I am sure.

I hope so mate, i would love to know for sure that we are not alone. Maybe there just waiting until we show some real promise and with the way fusion reactors are developing these days meaning the advancements made with the Rossi ecat reactor and others we may finally remove our societys from the industrial age and allow free/cheap energy to transform our world into a type 1 civilisation. Then they might communicate with us, thats if we all dont freekout and launch a couple 1000 nukes at them.

In terms of UFO disclosure its no more or less likely to occur this year than any other year for the past 60.

The 60 years of denial and ridicule, and the system that evolved to make that work, is too politically damaging to be admitted under any circumstance short of massive and undeniable UFO manifestation worldwide (Not little lights in the sky, a big ship on a tour of cities worldwide). Why would that be any more likely this year? The 2012 thing is good for selling tat to schmucks, nothing more.

The blue beam thing is just an internet meme for simpletons. It makes no sense at all.

What we are seeing is slow move towards more acceptance of the idea by the MSM. That bodes well for the future if it continues but it won't payoff this year.

If i'm wrong nobody will be happier than me.

"The blue beam thing is just an internet meme for simpletons"

There are a lot of simpletons here on planet Earth, ile give you that! So Blue beam would definitely be a viable control construct for the masses, just a though.

Who knows what will happen. I've read some posts and threads about "3 days of darkness". Now if that is indeed true and world wide, then I think that will be scary and the perfect chance for chaos to erupt all over the planet and could pretty much throw the world into a police state and martial law. I don't think three dark days in itself would kill us, but wide-spread panic would definitely happen.

I was maybe a little harsh :-)

My objection to the idea is that it simply wouldn't work. Its good science fiction but thats about it.

You have to give it credit though. Its sure keeps a lot of people busy and stops them thinking about other things.

It is good science fiction eh? However what you have to remember is todays science fiction is tomorrow's science fact. Its a trend thats happening all over the planet which could lead to a technological singularity occurring in the not to distant future.

On that topic we agree.

I think we'll see some form of transhumanism becoming reality (for the very rich, military) within the lifetime of the younger posters on here.

I think thats a lot more likely than a group of people convincing the world that aliens are invading when they aren't.

I would not discount Alien disclosure just yet, im not saying that there going to land on the White house lawn or anything. But interception of sentient extra solar signals maybe just about on our doorstep with the amount of Earth like planets they are finding in the socalled ""Goldilocks zones"" these days.

To hell with disclosure - what we need is a new, fresh way of looking at the UFO/alien phenomena. It's become too generic, it's become too swamped in the same kind of crap you have to filter through every day to find one interesting thing on the subject... Most of all "healthy skepticism" needs a health check - there is barely any health in it these days, just endless arguments that we've all read a thousand times.

I couldn't care for disclosure, it's already an "en mass" subject with no appropriate filters whatsoever so any kind of disclosure would just get lost in the usual UFO forum mire. That said - it's already been disclosed. People continue to expect some kind of official reaction from one official legit source, when they fail to see there are already hundreds of legit sources claiming they're positive there is something bigger than us going on.

Just because you didn't like what was said does not mean there hasn't already been disclosure.

Let me once again repeat it to you: There are things in the sky. They are usually small orbs of light. They seem intelligent. We don't know where they come from or where they go. They can be dangerous to aircraft so they should be avoided.

That's it. What makes you think the government knows more than this? Why is that not enough? It is the truth. You can't capture a ball of light. The things can vanish into thin air. How could they possibly know more than this about them?

Colonel William T. Coleman is a retired Air Force bomber pilot, former Public Information Officer for Project Blue Book, and USAF Chief Public Relations Officer during the early 1970s. In June 1978 on the Merv Griffin show and again on KTLA he talked about his personal sighting as a bomber pilot in 1955, in which they followed a metallic-looking disc he judged to be 60 feet in diameter. He said that he and the rest of the crew of five had filed official reports and that the first day he had access to the Blue Book files he looked but couldn't find those reports. Not exactly official disclosure from the top, since he was retired when he went public with it, but . . .

www.youtube.com...

There has been more and more documentaries and shows about alien invasion and further documentaries on discovery channal called Universe - on the edge...
There has also been recent movies on alien invasions

The pace certainly seems to be increasing and the conditioning is also seems to be done in a faster pace...

Not exactly what they are saying........

map.gsfc.nasa.gov...

Is there other intelligent life in the universe?

We don't know whether or not there is other intelligent life in the universe. There is no reason there shouldn't be. We know by our own existence that the universe is conducive to life. But there are many hurdles to overcome for intelligent life to form, and many threats to its continued existence once it does form. Life constantly faces the prospect of extinction. Life requires energy, water, and carbon; an environmental disaster that removes water, dooms life. Other environment disasters threaten. On Earth we have had huge meteor impacts that are believed to have caused mass extinctions. The harsh radiation of space is blocked only by Earth's atmosphere and magnetic field. Environmental instabilities cause ice ages. One day, billions of years from now, our Sun will burn out. Other, heavier stars end their lives in explosions called supernovae; the blast and radiation from a nearby supernova could destroy all life on Earth.

The dark energy will inexorably stretch the universe into an icy cold end. Since we don't know what the dark energy is, this might be wrong, but no less deadly depending on how the nature of the dark energy changes.

Many people are engaged in efforts to detect life in the universe. There are two strategies: we look for it, or it finds us. Perhaps a middle ground would be if we detected signals coming from life elsewhere in the universe. The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) program pioneered searches for life. WMAP itself is, in a small way, a mini-SETI experiment, since it constantly scans the skies over a wide range of microwave frequencies. WMAP was not optimized to search for life. Other efforts are (have been). Some day, we may know for sure whether we are alone in the universe. In the meantime the search goes on, as we also try to understand the universe and how it may be conducive to life.

By detecting and measuring the density fluctuations in the cosmic microwave background using the WMAP space mission we are learning about the early universe; and we begin to understand the basic ingredients that make life possible. In the future, we would like to enhance these efforts with other missions, such as NASA's Einstein Inflation Probe, which would strive to detect the gravity disturbances from the era when the universe originally inflated. This passionate search for knowledge is characteristic of human life.

Imagine the funding they could get if they could say "look what we found."

If you need the government to confirm we are being visited by aliens, then you can't think logically for yourself! Now a couple of decades ago you might of needed it but it's quite obvious what's going on.
