You do realize that all of the information that you credit to the Iranians, has, in actuality, come from your own, good ol' MSM. If you actually believe that is what they want (this whole 12th imam business), than yes, you are gullible as hell. Sorry if any offence was felt, wait....no I'm not lol. DO THE RESEARCH!

No offense taken, you are free to assume whatever you wish... Neither of us have changed a damned thing here.

All of the propaganda in the world cannot change reality, only the perception of it in the minds of the truly gullible.

Gullibility is subjective.

The most important thing to remember that Truth is always difficult to know when we have seldom, if ever experienced it.

How gullible do you have to be to think Iran is a threat?,

How gullible do you have to be to think Iran is NOT a threat? Backatchya.

Seriously .. the rhetoric from the government ... the nuke program .. the fact that (with the exception of Syria) ALL of the middle east and persia are very nervous about Iran (and with good reason) ... the nonsense being spewed by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad about wanting the imaginary 12th Imam to come floating in on a wave of massive world war in order to turn the whole world Islamic ... the cyber war Iran is carrying on against the USA from Latin America ... the proxy wars Iran is involved in around the world .. the terrorism world wide that Iran is sponsoring ...

But of course, everything over there really is a paradise of rainbows and unicorns and it only rains skittles .. and everyone in the totalitarian Iranian regime is just misunderstood .... right?

This is a very obvious effort to stoke a pointless argument. I was under the impression that such purposeful trolling was not tolerated on ATS.

For anyone to offer a serious, genuine reply would be both pointless and just invite more insults.

No thanks.

Yes the OP is opinion but it's based in logic. The Dome of the Rock is in Israel:

The Dome of the Rock (Arabic: مسجد قبة الصخرة‎, translit.: Masjid Qubbat As-Sakhrah, Hebrew: כיפת הסלע‎, translit.: Kipat Hasela) is a shrine located on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem.

*snip*

According to Islamic tradition, the rock is the spot from which Muhammad ascended to Heaven accompanied by the angel Gabriel. Further, Muhammad was taken here by Gabriel to pray with Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. After Muhammad's return, he called all who would believe him to join with him and be Muslim.

en.wikipedia.org...

That's a Muslim holy site. What would other Muslim nations do if Iran destroyed the Dome? Let alone Israel and the US.

Most talking heads on TV and news reports I've read over the years state very clearly that Iran wouldn't hit Jerusalem with something big but that Tel-Aviv would be totally wiped out. Jerusalem would instead be invaded after the other parts of Israel were nailed. (that's what the talking heads say anyways ... sounds reasonable).

Nope, doesn't sound reasonable to me:

www1.american.edu...

Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are only 30 kms apart. You don't have to flatten a place to destroy it. Radiation travels.

It must be true if you heard it on TV!

Iran is only a threat to itself. The people of Iran are the victims in all of this, it's certainly not a threat to all of us sitting in our comfy homes talking about whether or not Iran is a threat.

You know what i will NEVER understand?
How can countries tell to iran or any other country not to have NUKES when they THEMSELVES have an arsenal that would destroy the whole world?
Do they view themselves as the good guyz? Or more importantly... Are their nukes safer from iranian ones? How much stupid can you be to be american or european and DEMAND from a country to NOT have nukes and threat to invade them when you have yourself nukes?
I simply DONT get it.

Star and Flag for you !

This was and is according to AIPAC and PNAC....that all Muslims are bad and that we are good.

Who has long sought this ? THE ZIONISTS !

911 was used to create fear of Muslims and categorically making them Terrorists and categorically now we are using this doctrine to create fear against the Iranians.

Why ?

For the same reason we had to invade Libya for "Humanitarian Concerns" ....because the Libyans and now it's the Iranians who are bad and also happen to have lots and lots of OIL that the Rothschilds need and want.

The FED controls our money and is controlled by the Rothschilds who have financed world's wars dating back to the American Revolution...
Research the source of Hessian Mercenaries who fought for the British against the American Colonists.

Plain and simple....

Americans are purposefully dumbed down to believe everything that they are told on their Televisions....

Who owns the media ? The same people....the Zionists and their Goyim brethren the Neo Cons..

We have major problems here caused by the Banks and it's all being swept under the rug to focus our Hatred towards the Iranians....and this supposed threat from Nukes....remember the WMD's of Saddam Hussein ?

And how imperative it was then to invade Iraq ?

Same old $hit .....different Day.

Better get back to my television before I miss the latest propaganda !

Jesus hasn't shown up yet has he? You see he is kind of a key figure to get everything going also I haven't seen the anti christ either. He's another key figure.

The Twelfth Imam is the keeper of the age he will bring justice and peace to the world. He is supposed to return with Jesus.

Wrong, they believe the redeemer of Islam the Mahdi will prevail over evil in one final apocalyptic battle, and HE will rule the world for a period of years BEFORE Isa (Jesus) will return.

Hey, it is what it is... Maybe every one should consider converting to Shia Islam, just in case they are right?

Here ya go. Iran wants the current regime in Israel removed, as many do, but they never said they are going to wipe Israel off the map, as in a possible nuke strike, no matter how many times the MSM lies and twists reality to fool you people. Truth be told, just about every nations regime, gov't, dictatorship, etc, needs to be removed and started anew.

www.guardian.co.uk...

The following correction was printed in the Guardian's Corrections and clarifications column, Saturday July 28 2007 In the article below we reported that last year President Ahmadinejad said (quoting the late Ayatollah Khomeini) that Israel should be "wiped off the map". A more literal translation of the statement he made in 2005, at The World without Zionism conference in Tehran, is "the regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time".

That's actually the point of propaganda, to change reality, and its works time and time again. You could ask Hitler if he were alive today.

Oh I see what you are saying ... a small Iran sized nuke would flatten Tel Aviv but not cause damage in Jerusalem. The radiation would travel, but it wouldn't harm the shrines and religious sites there. It would cause illness and death, but considering what a nutbag Irans leader is, I'd be willing to be he'd just write them off as martyrs for the 'cause'. Yes ... that's my opinion ... Back in Gulf War I, I remember that kind of rhetoric coming out of Iraq as they threatened Israel with missiles .. that the muslims there who would be hurt in the bombings would be considered martyrs.

Maybe you should focus on the fact that you are spouting rhetoric without proof that Iran's leader is a "nutbag".

Provide some evidence of this as i have not seen any yet, save for the fact that you likely buy the BS that anything that goes against USA and ISRAEL is too be deemed as "Insane".

Where are your facts that iran would not nuke isreal?

What you gave was your opinion, not facts.

Let me ask you this.

Where are the facts that Iran would nuke Israel?

This is an assumption by the corporate elite and mainstream-media. An assumption is nothing more than an opinion. And there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that;

A: Iran has a nuke
B: Iran will nuke Israel

As far as i can see, Iran has not nuked Israel, and Iran does not have a nuke. So Op has technically written a factual statement.

Get your facts right.
