Hi, ATS.
I am going to call myself Xoanon. I was finally led to sign on to ATS because of the strange noises heard all over the world but I have been reading
ATS threads and posts for entertainment and information for quite some time now.
I was especially intrigued by member zeeon's thread concerning the Conklin, Alaska hoax. I have to say that those noises were pretty upsetting, but
having someone with skills picking them apart helps.
I am also interested in writing, folklore and mythology, philosophy, science fiction and information technology. Most of my reading lately has had to
do with Sociology, which is a special interest of mine as well.
I was brought up on stuff like the
Illuminatus Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson and began to identify at a very early age as a Discordian. It has
been a long life of leg-pulling and I am now a Discordian Pope, but that is another story for another time and maybe a thread.
So I love a good conspiracy theory and I am also shook up by a good UFO story.
Generally speaking I am not unconvinced that astral larvae are not sucking our life essence or that the Empire ever ended. have I found the right
place?
And so thank you for having me. I hope that I am able to get to know some of you that have similar interests.
I will leave you with a question.
I love the novels of Philip K. Dick. In his
Valis trilogy, the character Horselover Fat, postulates that;
'The Empire never ended".
I was wondering if any of you had ever heard that before, ATS? And what you think it might mean?
To me, sometimes, I take it very literally; I take it to mean that the Roman Empire never ended, and that the Greeks were the Empire before that. I
think that it has also to do with society all being in lockstep, and dangerously so.
What do you think?
