So nice, but I can't help but wonder what he was doing so far away from home? I hope climate changes haven't made his own territory inhospitable or uninhabitable.

Im sorry, but you must be really really bad at spotting photoshopped pictures.
Just google ribbon seals and you will see that is one and that they do exist.

On topic.
Thanks baddmove
What a great story, and what a magnificent creature.
This world never ceases to suprise me with its beauty and its wonders..
Thank you Mother Nature.

Wow, what a great find, such a gorgeous creature.

Wonder why he swam so far south? Guess we'll never know.

Not to worry, according to the story he swam off and hasn't been seen since.

The adventure (for him) continuous...

What exactly made you think it was photoshopped, since it wasn't?

Why would anyone need to photoshop a seal of all things? What a stupid assertion.

ps.: I know plenty of people who have used Photoshop for years and still don't know what the hell they are doing.

in my eyes this is an interesting take on global warming

if we are really headed for a warming period, wouldnt arctic animal head to the poles, instead of moving close to the equator?

it hink its pretty significant when not too long ago we heard about some insane snow levels in alaska or somewhere and now we see ice animals this far south

Definitely an interesting find. I have not seen a seal like this before in my life. I could see how they want to hunt them cause i wouldnt mind having a few socks made out of that
. Keep up the good work

Looks like the the offspring of a seal and penguin.

Like someone said I also wonder how he ended up so far south. I also wonder if more will show up . Wildlife seems to acting very strange in the last few years . Very strange.
Any way I sure the lil guy will be happy when he is brought back home.

I think you are mistaken.

I've been working with Photoshop since version 5.5 on Windows 95, and am currently playing with the CS6 pre-release.

This is a Ribbon Seal. Nice try though. Just because you think you know Photoshop, doesn't mean everything you see and don't understand IS a PS job.

Ribbon Seal.
Wonderful.
