If Hollywood would come out with just a few good movies a year, (I'm talking Hollywood major motion picture, not indie films) then I might consider going again. But I have more than 90% of the time left the theater irritated that I wasted two hours of my life watching unimaginative rehash. I haven't been to the movies in years, even when someone wanted to take me. I've been trapped in too many bad movies, aching to leave but can't because I'm with somebody. Don't even GET me started on the popcorn, I hate it, but only after.......when I have a wretching tummy ache from the gross fake butter, which tastes good at the time, especially when the movie is intolerable. I'm actually surprised people still go to the movies. If you wait a month you can watch it at home and avoid the annoying crowds, parking, over priced snacks. AND turn it off and just be out a buck or less. What surprises me more is hearing good reviews from friends or strangers, only to wonder, "is it me? or them? When I find said movie to be incredibly lame. I've seen enough good movies, back in the day, not that long ago to know "they" can do better.

Another one of the entitlers. You are entitled to get your money back whenever you deem it fit, and everything should just be done your way, and while your at it, tax you less, and keep sending the checks to your house everymonth right? Give me a break, if you don't want to spend your money, you dont have to spend it. Get over the fact that you have to put a little effort in to your life.

And yet Hollywood pushed for SOPA and PIPA anyways

and is MAD it's bribes didn't work

(see how that works

Yes, you nailed it 100%

Gangsters HATE when their bribe lever fails.

Remember in those Godfather movies when the one movie producer says one of little fillies got "ruined" by Johnny Fontaine? Haha yeah well Johnny Fontaine got the part.

I like where Tom Cullin tries to tell the producer that his lead actor is strung out and so forth. The Producer is all offended that the mob would try to muscle him. He has a big ego, that movie producer. Yeah, the book is even more descriptive as to that character and his "stable of girls", hehe, good stuff but you know, books are for adults and so movies need to be watered down before they'll be approved. If they made that character exactly as in the book, it wouldn't be politically correct. Movies frame the minds of the electorate, is the truth.

Anyway, he's all proud of his breeding racehorses and then he wakes up with one in his bed. Haha, good films there. You know people would not demand their money back from the Godfather films. Well except part 3 it sucked.

But then that would be commufascistsocialism or something like that wouldnt it?, and America doesnt like that.

Okay that's the paradigm, but it's BS.

Because look, if we elect Jesse Ventura, and he allows the IRS to fund Hollywodd outright, he will surely unsure that the films made are good bread and circus, and maybe even as good as Predator.

It is folly to think that only by having a private film conglomerate industry, can we have such crap movies. No my friends, we can make multi million dollar CG failures all by ourselves. Just we taxpayers and SGI computers, can do it.

But yes, Federally funded CGI boxes for a select group of 1000 American kids would produce some killer movies and YouTubes. I approve that as a place where my tax dollars can go, CG machines that produce cool youtubes. Better than atom bombs and mosquito-virus-delivery-vector experiments like what our tax dollars go towards now ya know?

This graphic above, explains it all. Please discuss it here. Bigtime thank you to the artist "Anne Rhodes".

I appreciate this timeline as to how and when the studios lost their monopoly on the theatres in the post-WW2 era. You can see that they really are just crying crocodile tears for decades since then.

But my point is that they have now purchased politicians (more than 50% of them) and are now using weaponized law and Hessian-esque law armies, to destroy the free IP network.

This isn't violence you can respond to on the IP network. Using LOIC is not the right way. You need to buy back your politicians. But how much money will it take to buy guys like that NV Senator? What's his pricetag? I recall in the Godfather movies they just blackmailed the NV Senator of the film, with a dead hooker in his bed. Haha, oh those gangsters they really know how power works. Too bad the sheep enjoy giving wool, because if the sheep ever decide to keep their wool, the shearers will be pissed and may just make gyros and lambchops out of them.

Seriously friends, this is the most violent threat that Hollywodd Hessians have ever made against the world. IP addresses as John Does for some dog# movie? Seriously now, print this graphic above, and print the SOPA act and read them both together in groups of families, and see who can find the huge gap into which the whole US continent has fallen.

I have been at movies so bad that I have gotten up and walked out halfway through and have gotten a refund or on occasion a pass for another.

You can't watch it all and then ask for a refund.

I have never gotten the wasted time back though.

Topical here, and relevant to the post above, about Senators from NV.

dailycaller.com...

Sen, Harry Reid, who is expected to bring Protect IP to the Senate floor on January 24, might have a $3.5 million financial incentive to see to the passage of at least one anti-piracy bill. Protect IP is a controversial piece of anti-piracy legislation decried by opponents as Internet censorship.

According to OpenCongress.org, Senator Majority Leader Reid received well over $3.5 million in campaign donations from organizations that support the House version of Protect IP: The “Stop Online Piracy Act” (SOPA).

Some time later, Geary spends the night with a prostitute in a brothel run by Michael's brother Fredo in the Nevada desert. Having suffered from an alcoholic blackout, he awakens in a bed covered in blood next to the woman, who is dead. Corleone family consigliere Tom Hagen arrives on the scene and tells a terrified Geary that since the woman has no family, the matter can be safely covered up. Hagen promises Geary, "All that will be left is our friendship." It is implied that the Corleones have engineered this situation, perhaps through drugging Geary. Michael's personal assassin, Al Neri, is seen in the bathroom wiping his hands with a towel, indicating that it was he who murdered the prostitute.

wiki/Jack_Woltz

In the novel

In the novel, Woltz is portrayed as a man who has achieved great success in the film industry, having come up from nothing. During World War II, he became the White House's propaganda adviser, obtaining a large government contract as well as political contacts in the process, in addition to an acquaintance with J. Edgar Hoover. It is also revealed that he is a pedophile who routinely molests young girls who audition for his movies, as well as the daughters of some of his actresses. (Although this aspect of the character is edited out of the film, it can be viewed in at least one deleted scene).

When Johnny Fontane is nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the film, a spiteful Woltz bribes or threatens nearly everyone in Hollywood to keep him from winning. He is again thwarted by the Corleone Family, and Fontane wins, eventually opening a Corleone-funded production company that soon rivals Woltz Pictures. Fontane politely telephones Woltz to thank him for everything despite their tension, but Woltz spitefully hangs up after a curt conversation.

Ah, this just in, paycheck-getter barely-funny dude Bill Maher, is known in Hollywodd for his fantasically funny film, "Amazon Women and the Avocado Jungle of Death". And although it sounds stupid, it is a film I would donate for. And since I rented it several times as a kid, then I think I've paid for it.

But if Billiam wants to be compensated more than having a national TV show, and he wants some more nickles, then I guess the film is good enough to send him some. Please forward your nickles to "Bill Maher Inc".

Just imagine if he ever does a movie worth something! This guy will easily demand the same 20 million dollar payday which Adam Sandler gets. I mean these guys have a union but they still fight like bitches for the big screenplays.

Some say that "Billy Madison" would have been better if they'd gone with Bill Maher because he was only asking 1 million for the role, but some people have better connections you know? Don't mess with the Zohar. Don't even look at the Zohar in a rude way, or else. Ya know?

Maher supports SOPA, calls piracy ‘Caucasian looting’
By Andrew Jones
Saturday, January 21, 2012

[...]

Maher explained that his view is based on illegal copies of his 2008 movie Religulous being downloaded online, calling concerns about SOPA and Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA) “a red herring.”

“Somebody has to bring up that there is a moral dimension to this, that this isn’t brought up enough,” he said. “People just want to steal because they can. I call it Caucasian looting. And just because you’re sitting at your computer in your pajama bottoms doesn’t mean you’re not stealing.”

Media consumption really is the only facet of commerce left with a "if you're not satisfied too damn bad" policy.

It's messed up that trailers and previews and advertising are basically legitimate fraud designed to trick you into gambling your money away on something you may or may not find of value.

Get a bad meal and the restaurant makes it right.
Get a bad or busted product and the retailer or manufacturer makes it right.
Get a bad record and you're SOL. Buy a bad DVD and you're SOL. Attend a bad movie and you're SOL.

Why?

I don't even know where to begin, I'll sum it up as nicely and shortly as I can. Tax breaks are a incentive of employing people in the industry not a giveaway, tax incentives are worked out in streams and you have to qualify for them. Being in the industry I can tell you, when you are working on 60-70million dollar budgets tax incentives help but they aren't the reason you spend that amount of money because you will not even get a fraction of them back for the government, most states/provinces have s cap of 1million for any production. Theatres make there own rules and have nothing to do with the industry as they are exhibitors, the idea behind going to the theatre is many reasons, evening out with family, you're a huge movie buff, the experience you get of watching a film in theatre as oppose to at home etc. The studio system explained briefly, from 10films a studio will make totaling 500-600million dollars for all films they count on there 1 summer blockbuster to recoup all the costs for all films.
My last point making a film is not easy, even in the digital age a camera can only point and shoot something, it won't make a script, hire actors, come up with financing, and make the whole film on its own.

So when studios are complaining about piracy killing them, I'm sure they would like to recoup there investment back for each film as oppose to wait for there summer blockbuster.

I've probably walked out of half the movies I've gone to in the last couple of years, I think Hollywood does a better job of making the T.V. commercials for movies than the movies themselves. It looks good on television and when you get there it sucks. I always show up 15 minutes late just to avoid watching all the junk they show you before the movie even starts.

What if you raised a kid on sugary candy, and then taxed them on that candy, and then jailed them if they didn't pay the candy tax?

And by candy I mean eye candy.

And by tax i mean tax breaks for the candymakers.

And by jail I mean prison.

And so what if?

Could the people make their own candy?

I mean to say, could the people make enough candy to buy politicians with? That is the question.

Both Hitler and Stalin owned the celluloid of their nations. But does that mean that the people, owned the cells?

Also, what was Stalin's position toward the screenwriters guild of Russia? Also, what was Hitler's position toward the Nazi film unions? Hmm... Was "Triumph of The Will" director Reifenstahl compensated as well as "Victim of the Will" State of Israel was?

Mmm okay well I want an answer to this long pondered web question:

Is Chris Dodd the grandson of Joe Stalin? Seriously the dude is a dead ringer all he needs is to let the 'stach grow. I think someone had some evidence for this? Thank God I'm in a conspiracy forum or this kind of speculation might not be appropriate. Seriously, there are secret weird cultish breeding programs out there, though Hollywodd has YET tomake an movies about them, hehe.

But seriously, in all seriousness, being serious here, this guy totally looks and acts like Stalin.

www.thedailybell.com...

[...]

It seems almost like a kind of thuggery. And the motion picture industry's brand new, glittery spokesman Chris Dodd didn't do himself any favors with this quote (via Fox) regarding the larger copyright situation:

Candidly, those who count on quote 'Hollywood' for support need to understand that this industry is watching very carefully who's going to stand up for them when their job is at stake. Don't ask me to write a check for you when you think your job is at risk and then don't pay any attention to me when my job is at stake ... I would caution people – don't make the assumption that because the quote 'Hollywood community' has been historically supportive of Democrats, which they have, don't make the false assumptions this year that because we did it in years past, we will do it this year... These issues before us – this is the only issue that goes right to the heart of this industry.

Dodd couldn't have been more clear. Like an old-style Mafia don, he's warning politicians that if they want donations they have to do his bidding. This is not just a stupid statement; it probably expresses a number of potential illegalities. Nonetheless, he is quoted as having said it.

The FBI raid, the ludicrous celebratory articles in mainstream publications about Kim Dotcom's ruin, the general sense that the US Justice Department has dismantled an entire corporation based on a shaky judicial theory – all this is a declaration of a kind of war, if not on the Inernet itself then on certain people who want to use the Internet in certain ways.

But, of course, at root it is not HOLLYWOOD that has declared war but Hollywood's masters, the Anglosphere power elite that wants to create a New World Order and is determined to tame the Internet in order to do so.

Hollywood is merely a spinner of memes – a purveyor of the elite's dominant social themes. But it is the Internet that is blowing them up as fast as they can be produced. This is something that cannot be tolerated.

The trouble – and it IS a problem – is that history shows us that copyright and even patent law are clumsy instruments with which to combat the truth-telling of a particular information facility. People generally – in groups – tend to use a technology to its fullest extent.

A battle has been joined, much as it was joined after the advent of the Gutenberg Press. But it is one that the elites had trouble finishing, and they only fully regained control of the conversation in my view in the 20th century. And now they have to do it all over again.

I have worked at a movie theater for 15 years and a lot of these comments have no basis in reality whatsoever.

"Notice how when you buy a 5 dollar item at some retailer, they give you a receipt. They therefore show that they care about their customers. "

Your receipt is your ticket stub. This is clearly printed on the back.

"Money back is simple barrel trading good sense, you promise a good product and deliver or you gives the man his money back"

Movie theaters do not make the product (film), if you eat our popcorn and don't like it then we would offer a refund assuming you didn't eat the whole bag but we have absolutely no control over the quality of film. This should be common sense.

"Because it costs $10 + popcorn + sodee pop for the whole family!"

You don't have to eat when you are there. And movies are still the cheapest form of entertainment (if you are going to leave the house). $10.00 for 2 hours isn't that bad. Movie theaters need to pay bills and pay the employees. No one (including theater owners) are getting rich off popcorn sales. The real money comes in from owning the land the theater sits on.

"the movie is falsely marketed crap, you do not have the right to ask for a refund. The manager will make you explain why you didn't like the movie. He won't accept that you paid 5 bucks for popcorn and that you want that money back. "That money's MINE" he'll say "you ate the popcorn!!" It's like "Let's Make A Deal" where you have to choose a door and all the risk is on you! "

Again, theaters do not market the movies. You have a right to ask for a refund which we will promptly deny if you watched the whole movie. Do you ask for a refund if you go to a baseball game and your team loses or doesn't play well?? No one is forcing you to watch a movie, so yes the risk is all yours.

"Why are they allowed to rig the price of popcorn as well?"

Huh? Are you asking why movie theaters are allowed to decide what price to sell popcorn at?

"Why do they not provide a promise of "full satisfaction" as any decent business would do?"

We do. We promise that the presentation of the film will be flawless and if the sound/image is bad then we will give you a refund or a pass. If we gave refunds to everyone who didn't like the movie then what would stop people from doing this every single time?

"truthfully, the costs of screening a digital film, are essentially NIL"

False. Digital equipment is extremely expensive to buy and to run.

"It's messed up that trailers and previews and advertising are basically legitimate fraud designed to trick you into gambling your money away on something you may or may not find of value. "

No one is forcing you to watch a movie. If you were "tricked" into thinking Transformers 2 would be a good movie then this says more about you then it does about the marketing. You only have to do a minimal amount of research online to find out what a movie is about or if it is a good movie.

What on earth are you ranting about. Your title says "THE MOVIE NO REFUND CONSPIRACY" . Now you say something about killing the internet - these are two different things. Two different things, get it?

As for you point about the law making them two entities, man, try not to demonstrate ignorance with such utter disregard for the way you appear. An antitrust suit was filed to split up exhibitors and creators of content. Universal makes movies but does not show them. Regal shows them, but does not make them, it was a law - whatever you make of legislation is not the point, that "law" made sure the two are different entities.

As for your point about the creators of content looking to create havoc on the internet, this isn't even a debatable issue, your other incoherent points were at issue and I only sought to clarify. But alas it is better to go with "the world is crap, just kill them all" and let civility and decorum take a backseat to guns and spit.

No it's not. I wish you could comprehend what's happening.

They don't give refund, they they threaten the Internet. You don't understand the idea? Internet is threatened, by people who deliver crap and move the courts, when their crap is "stolen". Cant you follow a thread or a line of thought?

I'm not ignorant, fool.

The movie theatre is a trance indoctrination box. They've lost the box, so they are threatening the Internet in court. That's the facts of the matter. Tell me, are you really an old man? Because I thought old people were supposed to be smart.

I only sought to clarify.

Haha, as if.

Well anyway, you're at a conspiracy forum (ostensibly), and it's called "Even Higher Than Secret", so I thought I could draw a few other threads in to paint a simple picture of why Judaist shekelmongers would threaten IP, using their paid legal soldiers. Very simply: They intend to stop the freedom of the IP network.

To put it simply:

Movie theatre = mass programming
Internet = mass unprogramming

Therefore, Internet must die. That is their action. They can only do this using lawyers and bribed politicians. As Blago said, "I can sell you a seat on the Senate floor for the right price."

I am sorry you can't keep up. Maybe some Yahoo forum would be more to your liking? Here we are discussing things that are even higher --yes even MORE secret than that which is secret. You have reached the top of secet, and gone above that my friend. Welcome.

"even higher then Top Secret." I think the term is stated in the name "Above TOP Secret" not, "even higher then simple secret." Quote correctly.

To put it simply:

Blago, as you call him, may have said this BUT the fact is he could not do as he said at all. He's not important enough, so quoting bluster as if it means something is foolish. So you are merely quoting a stooge to make your point, I'd quote someone much more influential, or powerful. My favorite on this topic, which is far superior to yours, is heir Rothchild stating "I care not who makes the laws, as long as I get to print the money."

I am sorry you can't keep up. Maybe some Yahoo forum would be more to your liking? Here we are discussing things that are even higher --yes even MORE secret than that which is secret. You have reached the top of secet, and gone above that my friend. Welcome.

I can keep up. Much of what is used in mainstream media has it origins in the Tavistock institute's and Stanford Research Institute's testing in the mid 1900's, but you knew this. The work was done not necessarily to control people per se, but to stunt their consciousness' evolutionary process as a way of keeping the part of their soul matrix that is inserted into/onto the earth plane trapped in the synthetic reality that is what we call earth. But you knew this. Music was also a key part of the Tavistock institute's effort, less so the SRI, and bands like the Beatles, Stones, Dead, and so on were created out of the institutes finer research on repetitive beats and the effect on one's ability to think outside the earth plane matrix - trance is the inevitable pinnacle of this effort. But you knew this.

And for the life of me I can't possibly figure out how the lack of refund, which IS NOT TRUE, has anything to do with your points. You can get a refund, just ask.

This thread should be placed in the rant section.
