Okay, now we're talkin'! The very first thing I noticed is that on its forearms and legs there appears not to be any hair. A lot of people will say it is mange but to me, it looks as if it evolved that way, which is startling. It does appear to have "hand"-like paws but maybe this is what all paws would look like without fur? Just thinking out loud.

Can you get any more pictures? Things like this are why I love ATS. Thank you for the post. Also, can I ask where this occurred?

South Texas
I'm not sure if any more pictures were taken, I do know that the body was confiscated by the game warden.
(This is what I am told anyway)

It's useless.

eh its exactly the input you were looking for, he answered your question, if you don't want to hear the answer NO then why ask the question? Nobody is gonna sheeple along and say its absolutely real when it looks absolutely fake. geez

I think it's fake looks photo shopped. Why would a dude in Texas have a kangaroo sticker on his truck? That's all the proof I need. Lol

You be the judge.

I don't want to be the judge on this one...because the verdict is not going to be favorable!

The photo is awful...and looks fake...but in the event it is real...it would be amazing!

Unfortunately without the raw data and the original photo...we may never know!

I think any jury would agree...this is a fake!

Its disappointing to see the quality of the responses to your thread thus far. Thank you very much for sharing here, I do have a question though.

Does your friend have any more pictures of this creature?

In my experience, when a hunter bags something amazing or interesting, there are multiple pics from various angles to document the experience. I have to say I am disappointed in the quality of the image, but that is not your fault, you are just sharing what you have, and thats great.

Dont be discouraged by the quality of the responses here today. If you feel that this is worth it, pursue it. If not for yourself, then please do it for others.

i just cant shake the feeling its photoshoped...

look at the "hands" of the animal, and then look at the right hand of the man photographed...

dont get me wrong i would love to have actual proof that these creatures exist, my opinion photoshop

Thank you for your input, do you have any experience with photoshop?
Also, To me it looks like he is holding it by the neck. Who knows.

yes, im not an "expert" but anyone with basic editing knowledge can tell you off the bat that there are many "red flags" with the pic..

**the first red flag is the quality of the picture, its 2012 for gods sake...but you could argue that it was taken with a camera phone, in low light settings...

**the second easy red flag, is the "blurryness" of the creatures fur

**3rd red flag is the lighting on the mans right arm the one holding the creature by the neck area..

**final red flag is the face of the man, its too dark compared to the arm, if the camera had a flash A) the quality wouldnt be so bad B) the mans face should be brighter because of the flash..

those are just your basic "fake alert" red flags...

very original picture none the less

Looks like a young wolf or coyote with a shaved belly and feet. I think it is fake. Hope that doesn't offend, since you say it is a trusted source, but that looks intentionally staged. Shot the hairy little thing, shaved its belly and front legs, and pulled the hair back by the scruff to show the face and teeth.

Not a werewolf.

It doesn't offend me, I want everyone's opinion.
What about the forearms, wouldn't the forearms of a canine be positioned in front of the body and not the side?

Hi,

IMHO - The pic looks fake also there's no built-in data of the time image was taken so has most probably been altered.

If that is a werewolf, then the human it developed from must be either an infant or a very very small person.
Consider this- if werewolves are real, then the mass of the human and the mass of the wolf/beast would have to be the same in order for it to be plausible. The organs, bones, skin, and muscle may move and stretch, shorten or lengthen, but, BUT, the mass of each mentioned segment must be the same. Otherwise, where does the displaced matter go? And, worse yet, where does it come from when the change is reversed, assuming such a thing is possible?
So, I call a very, very sad looking wolf like beast that someone thought to shave before holding up and photographing to play a prank or make a false claim. As for thumbs, I have a pit bull puppy who's left front paw did not develop correctly, and she appears to have a thumb! Unfortunately, she didn't develop wrist bones on that foot, so she has a limp. The paws on this beast could be dewclaws.

Basically what I wanted say. Thanks for saving me the time.

If this is a werewolf, then it's a midget. Also, aren't werewolves suppose to return to human form after dying... according to film and literary legend?

I won't even get into real lycanthropy and how it doesn't apply to this photo, but I will say, this is no lycan.

Oh, and it just looks fake.
