The MPAA wants more money, less piracy. We want freedom on the internet, and let's face it free stuff. Most people like me are lazy. I'm not going to shell out $20 for a dvd, but sometimes finding pirated movies is a pain in the butt. Why not compromise. MPAA should release something like netflix, but you know with good movies (like the ones we are pirating). Honestly how much would you be willing to pay a month for new movies in HD in one easy place? $10? $15? Since I'm going to get the movies anyway...that's $10- $15 more a month then they were getting from me. Times that by millions of people... I think they would not only eliminate a lot of piracy, but actually make a bigger profit then they are now. Like I said free is good, but I'd be willing to pay a few bucks just for the convenience. Forget censorship...let the free market work. We both win.

I think that's what megavideo did, they charged like $10-$20 a month to use their service.

Hollywood does not have a WalMart mentality. They have a Tiffany's mentality. Huge difference.
