At LeRoy Junior-Senior High School in upstate New York, 12 female students suddenly fell ill with symptoms of Tourette's Syndrome, such as body tics and uncontrollable verbal outbursts. School officials have determined that environmental factors in the school building are not to blame, and the cause of the outbreak remains contested.

This is incredibly strange - 12 Girls all coming down with these symptoms all at once? I wonder if this has to do with any of the food they were eating - perhaps even some sort of virus? Maybe the article is right about the "hysteria" syndrome... Either way - this is strange!

reminds me of the salem witch trials when a group of girls suddenly got posessed by the local witch.

How did that turn out? oh right..it was a hoax...unfortunately tons of people died back then because of their shenanigans.
Is this a hoax also? hmm..well, what options are there..either its a hoax, or some odd erm..wavelength (omg, haarp!) or something introduced into the environment (aka, a bacteria).

Interesting nonetheless. something any good conspiracy website should chew on. What are the common elements of the 12 girls..are they all friends, do they all eat a certain food item from the cafeteria? did they all go to a party and take a drug? etc.

I'm actually wondering that myself. 12 girls.. Do they know each other as friends? I seem to recall a number of people horribly tortured and murdered in Salem, Mass a few years back over some other school age girls making up quite a series of stories with physical manifestations to believe it. Several died because no one could fathom the idea of school kids inventing such elaborate and physically evident problems. Ooops...

I hope this IS the reasoning....if it isn't, and this can come on by outside influence, then what can happen unintentionally can be done deliberately. I hate to always think that way these days...but others sure do, so it's almost wrong not to give that direction some thought anyway.

We used to have gangs of children at my school do random things like that, like pretending we all saw a UFO during lunch break and started to 'act funny', or once we convinced people to not talk during the whole day, or walk like robots in the halls. It was random, just for laughs.

Girls do silly things.

It wasn't just one, I remember at least three incidents that were similar.

One possibility that come to mind for me is drug use. There are cases where people have taking badly produced illegal drugs and ended up with long term adverse effects, such as twitching, psychosis, and even long term paralysis.

There has likely been a drug test, but if not they should, and even if they have they may have missed it.

these girls are releasing their bowels, they are not faking. Since they are all girls - it would make sense that it's some sort of reaction to Gardasil. Here's a thread I started on this, it's horrifying.

From what I've heard, the diagnosing physicians have been strangely guarded in their responses concerning this case.....I'm willing to bet it is related to Gardasil. They certainly wouldnt state that at the press conference for fear of being sued into the ground, that's for sure.

Sounds like a chemical agent in a food supply carrying the gene of that disorder....

Sounds credible given we've had a few intense years up to now of debate raging on the legalities of genetically-modified foods, and the health and safety laws of food hygene in general...

Seems only yesterday when Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park highlighted the threats posed by bioengineering in its legendary introduction.

Now we're in that future.....

This sounds like a staged event to me a bunch of girls getting together to have some fun ..I might be wrong all we can do is wait and see what the physicians have to say after its all over and done but its a interesting story thanks for posting it..peace,sugarcookie1
