Really? I didn't know that. It's kinda odd, if you think about it. The man made the single most unique achievement in the history of the human race.

I dont know, im a little skeptical about the telescope.. I have a Celestron 130 EQ and I have looked at the moon with 2x barlow lenses/ moon filter/ polarizing filter/ etc.. I have never even gotten anywhere close to that amount of detail in my scope, I can get close enough to see the craters and some formations but nowhere near that detail..
I have seen several videos however with this tower in them and a lot of pictures as well. I fully believe that this "tower" is on the moon, I dont know if it is a natural rock formation or a "man-made" structure though

Yes but this is the moon, an object that has held mans attention since the dawn of time, people have been staring at it all this time.
Scientist have studied it and cataloged every visible object on it since telescopes where invented, Hell some of the first reports of UFOs are from people staring at the moon with early telescopes.
I am pretty sure that IF these where there, than NASA would know.
The argument that what apply on earth would apply on the moon doesn't work because of the level of scrutiny that has been on the moon through out the ages.

I am a skeptic about a lot of UFO stuff and such even though I along with my entire family witnessed a large v-shaped object pass silently over our house in 1966 when I was a kid (like the ones that were witnessed by people here in Phoenix "The Phoenix Lights") I still have a hard time with thinking they are not of this earth (perhaps secret military craft). BUT, I wonder why NASA classifies some photos? As for this "tower" as you were saying people has been looking at the moon for hundreds of years and if this tower really is there why hasn't someone with a powerful telescope (which has been around a LONG time!) hasn't reported seeing it?
Of all the people watching the moon with telescopes you are not going to overlook something like this again and again through the years.
Not all moon watchers (both professional and amateurs) could be in 'cahoots' for the last 100+ years to keep this tower from 'others'! Can't you see the reasoning here?
I think it is a trick of the light and a tall mountain may be shadowed on each side giving the illusion it's thinner in the center.

I'll add some information I found on the YouTube page.
"Filmed January 5, 2012 @ 7 pm ....Tall water tower looking structure on the horizon of the moon. 4 clips in one. I filmed this using a celestron 130 telescope and a panasonic camcorder."
More specfic..."panasonic 78x zoom camcorder. i was optical zoomed at about 30. I used an 18mm eyepiece with a 2x barlow lense on the telescope"
"The only location i can tell you is that its on the southwest side of the southern pole of the moon, on the horizon. my telescope images things upside down"
He is answering all of the comments and participating in the discussion. I think it's an interesting video.
