umm, okay, but - as I said = an experiment gone wrong.

And, according to TEPCO - Fukushima is also in a cold shut down also.

I have a couple of more to add to the list:
--The Earth is entering a new dimension
--The Earth is in pain
--The hollow Earth theory (the underground beings are coming to the surface)

Nobody has the answer so far so you can't call me crazy for throwing these ideas out there.

I have been very curious about this noise for sometime, but I have not yet heard it.
I was just looking for some media coverage today since there seems to be a rise in the people hearing this noise.

The first thing I thought of when I heard the sounds was FF7; it's like a lower pitch version of the sound they used for the planet crying. It's an eerie coincidence, considering these sounds are all over the world. However, there's likely a more reasonable explanation.

I'd hate to be wrong, though, and find out the Earth really is a living creature that we've raped as a species.

Just thought I would throw this in, I have been told collage kids have been modifying big ship horns. I guess they carry them around in big cube vans and drive to high places. They have modified them for various sounds and db. It could be the next thing to producing crop circles. Just to freak people out. I don't know if this is what some people have been hearing. I must admit I have heard some rather freaky noises from the sky lately. They sound to be distant and sound that is hard to believe or explain.

The Chicago video is not fake, as i said my friend heard the same noises and he said it felt like the earth was ripping a part

That would be because people haven't heard it. Not your local village, not your towns, not your big cities. What we are talking about are a collection of youtube vids/claims. As they say in the States - go figure...

But the hum is something quite different. These claimed sounds were not hums by any stretch of the imagination.

Just a hunch. I'm not saying all the sounds are hoaxes, but I'm willing to bet the ones that sound like what's in that video are.

I don't know if anyone noticed or mentioned this but at the 50 second mark in the Mexico video..as the sound starts to be made, the branch at the bottom of the screen seems to lift and then back down when the sound breaks. This is either telling me some frequency in the air is lifting it, it is just coincidence and the wind did it, or someone is doing it physically. Just seeing if anyone caught that and what they think?

You know what - your suggestion is one of the best, if not the best I have read on this extensive topic.
Fracking - don't buy it for a minute. Too many places have fracking, and not had this sound all the time
Alien Craft - stretching it a bit.
Man Made - just too loud and extensive IMHO.
Tectonic - seems possible, but the scary part of this is if this is true we are ***** - because it is worldwide and must mean quakes like we have never seen are looming.
Hoax - yes some videos have inevitably been hoaxed, but people on ATS (stealthyKat for one) have heard and recorded this sound themselves.

Leaves something "out the box" and your explanation very much fits the bill.
Now heres a question - can you or anyone locate these sounds you mention from the voyager craft?
Would be great to do a comparison, and see what they are like side by side.

The title kind of begs the question for me. FROM WHOM are we to demand answers? Surely you are not suggesting that "the government" knows? In fact, in one of these vids the 911 guys said they had no idea.

Dear friends-

Perhaps the sounds are from space and it's our equipment we're hearing. Is there any way of telling where a satellite is on any given day at anytime? Probably a stupid question, but I honestly don't know. But, what if the sounds were satellites and they are passing over "Sunset Springs on 1/12/1012 at 10:36 am" and at 10:36 am in Sunset Springs on January 12th, sounds were heard from the sky?? Who knows. Just speculating here. And jsettica - I agree.

I have a binaural beats CD that incorporates some of those space sounds. Very cool. Somewhat like the sound of dolphins and whales.

This phenomenon is so easy to hoax - a lot easier than hoaxing a UFO vid - so I'll wait until I hear it myself.

once you hear it, it's freaky, because it's obviously not a plane, everyones heard the roar of a jet plane, helicopters sound mechanically loud, but these low rumbling noise's that are coming from overhead and last well over 10 mins and sometimes much longer defy explanation.

you can scratch volcanos, because most of these sounds are heard over major cities no where near a volcano.

you can eliminate earthquakes, because you'd feel it in conjunction with the rumbling.

thunder could be an explanation, but some of these sounds are heard over blue bird sky's without a hint of clouds.

who knows. maybe an alien first contact warning. hundreds of ships making themselves visible over dozens of cities would be long overdue, especially in 2012 with nuclear war and ww3 inevitable.

Has anyone considered that there may be a problem with the plates because we have removed so much oil from the Earth? Is that possible?
